I've realized over the time I've played clix that there are certain characters that I reach for nine times out of ten. Whether it's because I like the character or the concept or they just fill out a point total, if I'm building a team I reach for them.

So I've decided instead of making Thugit Inc threads for each one of them, to bring them all in under one thread. These characters will be my most used pieces but the list will be fluid with characters coming and going as sets are added.

So let's get this tango started with the guy who started my previous Kill Count thread, Kyle Rayner.

And Here he is:

an200 E Green Lantern
Team: Green Lantern Corps
Range: 8 :bolt::bolt:
Points: 137
Keywords: Green Lantern Corps, Justice League of America

A generic and effective Green Lantern dial with a custom painted sculpt of one of my favorite characters who has already had much success in his own kills makes him a shoo in for the Gang.

For the whole story on the Sculpt click here: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=320967
For info on prior games with him click here: http://www.hcrealms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=321497

sm017 R Superboy
Team: Superman Ally
Range: 6 :bolt:
Points: 125
Keywords: Metropolis, Reign of the Supermen, Young Justice
m-winga-fistd-shieldg-starburst10101731091739101639916391116381015389152KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Special) Reign of the Supermen: If a friendly character named Superman has been KO'd this game, modify Superboy's combat values by +1 for the rest of the game.

Another favorite of mine since his first stories in Return gets a great dial that says "a mini brick with range and a bag of tricks to help the team in early game."

sm055 U Superman
Team: Superman Ally
Range: 5 :bolt:
Points: 107
Keywords: Kryptonian, Metropolis, Reporter
m-winga-fistd-shieldg-starburst10101739916289162810172810173811184KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Special) A Piece of My Ship: Superman can use Super Strength. When Superman uses an object in an attack, he deals penetrating damage. When you place your force on the map at the beginning of the game, Superman begins holding a standard heavy object. (This doesn't count against your object limit.)

A nightmare against heavy damage reducers with a fun sculpt and an accessable point cost. I've recently come to enjoy Superman as a character again thanks to reading the new issues, Secret Origin, New Krypton, All Star and Earth 1. Plus he plays so well with Superboy.

ca056 R Squirrel Girl
Team: No Affiliation
Range: 0 :bolt:
Points: 59
Keywords: Animal, Great Lakes Avengers
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst7101626916269152691525815258141KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Special) Monkey Joe: Squirrel Girl begins the game with Monkey Joe attached. While Monkey Joe is attached, Squirrel Girl can use Super Senses. When Monkey Joe is KO'd, reattach him to Squirrel Girl. When Squirrel Girl is KO'd, remove Monkey Joe from the map.

(Special) Run, Monkey Joe, Run!: Give Squirrel Girl a power action and remove Monkey Joe from Squirrel Girl and place him in adjacent square. Monkey Joe becomes a bystander token as described on the back of this card.

Squirrel Girl is just one of those characters who is fun and funny to read. Her Clix doesn't do her justice as the off panel powerhouse she's represented as and until I get a Galactus to swap sculpts with, this will do. Thankfully she's a laugh to play with an annoying habit of always keeping my opponents pieces tied up.

asm049v V Spider-Man 2099
Team: Spider-Man
Range: 4 :bolt:
Points: 160
Keywords: Exiles, Future, Scientist, Spider-Man Family
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst1011173910172910182891738916278162121219512111841210184KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Improved) Web Cape: Improved Movement: Ignores Elevated Terrain, Ignores Hindering Terrain

(Special) Manifest Destiny, 3099 and Beyond: If Spider-Man 2099 is 80 points, he is KO'd if he crosses the red KO line. If Spider-Man 2099 is 160 points, he is not KO'd when he crosses the red KO line.

(Speed) Humanity's Ultimate: Spider-Man 2099 possesses the Power Cosmic team ability and a range value of 8.

(Damage) Worthy to Wield Mjolnir: When turning the dial, if this click is revealed due to damage taken from an opponent's attack, stop turning the dial.

Spider-Man 2099's levels were pretty awesome in "Shattered Dimensions". 2099 has got that cyberpunk vibe that is awesome. It helps that he plays so well with Booster Gold and has multiple point values giving me options. I've been reading Spider-Man 2099 again and I got hooked, helps that Peter David is an amazing writer.

sf009 E Cammy
Team: Street Fighter
Range: 2 :bolt:
Points: 80
Keywords: Martial Artist, Soldier
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst81017389162810162791627915261016168151KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Defense) Cannon Spike: When a character who didn't begin the turn adjacent to Cammy attacks her, modify her defense by +2. If a character misses Cammy with 1 or more attacks, deal one damage to that character after actions resolve.

SF is represented in the Gang by Cammy. Solid attack and a defensive power that is just mean spirited to all move and attackers or range cannons. Also the spandex unitard. :cheeky: Cheeky indeed.

sf106 R Ken
Team: Street Fighter
Range: 4 :bolt:
Points: 50
Keywords: Martial Artist, Warrior
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst71016271015179161691516915168141KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO

He shares my name and is an inexpensive and effective fighter. No other reason to include him than that. But he is also my go to character for playing Street Fighter video games

avm200 V Thor
Team: Avengers Initiative
Range: 8 :bolt:
Points: 250
Keywords: Asgardian, Avengers, Deity, Warrior
m-winga-fistd-indomitableg-starburst1111185101118410101841010174910173991739916399173810173711173KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO

I thought Straczynski's run on Thor was awesome and is still much the reason I like Thor. Asgardians are a favorite team and I always do well using them. With so many great options for Thor having come out in the past few months, I was really stuck for which to use. The FCBD version is just nice for it's multiple starting dials and there is something to be said for a simple straight forward dial.

bm052 V Booster Gold
Team: Justice League
Range: 7 :bolt:
Points: 98
Keywords: Celebrity, Future, Justice League International
m-winga-fistd-shieldg-starburst101017310101738917389162891627816278152KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Attack) Skeets: Booster Gold has "Duo Attack Symbol".

(Damage) The Advantage of Time Travel: Booster Gold can use Probability Control. When he uses it for his own attack roll, he may use it again as long as the rerolled value is higher than the previous ignored value.

After campaigning so long over the months for a Booster Gold, I finally got one. While his force field is under represented, he's still a favorite character of mine and I'll be using this piece forever.

sog019 V Red Hood
Team: Outsiders
Range: 5 :bolt::bolt:
Points: 96
Keywords: Outlaws, Warrior
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst810162610162710162791617916169151KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Improved) Stick to the Shadows: Improved Movement: Ignores Hindering Terrain

(Special) Bullseye: When Red Hood makes a successful ranged combat attack and either die is a 6, the damage dealt is penetrating damage.

(Attack) Guns Blazing: When making a ranged combat attack, modify Red Hood's attack value by +1 for each target.

Red Hood and the Outlaws has been a blast to read, it might be my favorite all new title to come out of the nu52. Red Hood has climbed up the list of favorite characters like lightning.

ha047 U Nico Minoru
Team: No Affiliation
Range: 8 :bolt:
Points: 84
Keywords: Mystical, Runaways, Teen
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst691526915168141681415713157131KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Speed) Staff of One: Once during each of your turns, you may give Nico Minoru a free action and choose a standard power you didn't choose during your last turn. Nico can use that power until the beginning of you next turn.

I can't say no to Nico, she's just one of those pieces I'm sentimental about. I took her to my first big tourney and placed pretty well. I suspect she will always be on my list here.

ca210 E Klaw "Mega Man"
Team: Minions of Doom
Range: 8 :bolt:
Points: 60
Keywords: A.I.M., Frightful Four, Masters of Evil, Scientist
m-boota-fistd-shieldg-starburst10101731091731091629101628915288141KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO

Mega Man is one of my favorite game series. I've played nearly all of them and fondly recall summer days wasted playing old 8-bit Mega Man games. Until WizKids brokers a deal to make Mega Man Clix, I'll make do with my repainted Klaw from the Cap Grav Feed. The dial looks right and the sculpt was an easy repaint job.

lotr004 E Legolas
Team: No Affiliation
Range: 10 :bolt::bolt::bolt:
Points: 130
Keywords: Fellowship, Martial Artist, Warrior
m-boota-sharpshooterd-shieldg-starburst8101838101738917399162991529916289172KOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKOKO
(Epic) Flank: Give Legolas an epic action when he occupies a square on an edge of the map. Legolas may use Phasing/Teleport to move up to 12 squares, but only through squares on the edge of the map. He can use the Carry ability and may carry one character per 100 points of the game's build total.

(Attack) Rapid Shot: Modify the attack value of Legolas by +2 when he makes a ranged combat attack. Modify the damage value of Legolas by +1 for each character he targets with a ranged combat attack beyond the first; each hit target must be assigned at least 1 damage.

My choice for Middle Earth is a no brainer for everyone who knows me. Legolas is Hell with a bow and quiver in the movie and his dial is accurate to that as well. I'm looking forward to raining arrows on my foes.

Because my collection is always in flux, the members of the 13 could change regularly with new characters joining the Active Roster. Any characters who get KOs and are bumped from the Active Roster will be listed in the reserves.

THE KO COUNT (Active Roster):

AN 200- Kyle Rayner: 29
SM 017- Superboy: 8
SM 055- Superman: 9
CA 056- Squirrel Girl: 1
ASM 049- Spider-Man 2099: 1

Ok first match was a 500pt game. I played:
sm 017- Superboy
sm 055- Superman
sf 009- Cammy
an 200- Green Lantern (Custom sculpt)
an 104- Impulse

I fought a team of:

sm 031- Non
sm 013- Maxwell Lord
sm 042- Lobo
sm 012- Livewire

This guy had the meteorite out and had Non pick it up and come at Superman with a charge. Non missed, then Superman got the Meteorite and Non will be missed. Once Superman had the meteorite and his Non was taken out the battle was decided as Supes reigned destruction on Lobo. With Superboy getting credit for the assist against Lobo thanks to TKing the Meteorite into Lobo's face and Superman swooping in to follow up with a powerhouse hit.

Superboy served the team well with strategic use of TK and as a secondary attacker taking out Max Lord and Livewire.

So the Kill counts are updated with Superman at 2 and Superboy also getting 2.

I just got back from gaming with a friend and had a match using HoT Thor and 2 Asgardian Warriors against Zibarro, Eradicator and Mo Mu Gorgon.

Thor KOed:

Eradicator
Gorgon

Played another team tonight and the two KO getters were:

Superman 055: Dr. Manhatten & Silk Specter, 012 Nite-Owl

Cammy: Ozymandias & Bub, Rorschach

Also I'm going to put the roster through it's first revision this weekend. I know I'm replacing Ken 016 with his lower cost starter version. I think Brainiac 5 might be replaced with a version of Booster Gold. I'm going to think on the rest.

Wait a second, the Meteorite should have been removed from the game when Non missed when he attacked with it. Superman couldn't have used it to counter-attack Non with. By your count, the Meteorite was used 3 times (Non attacking Supes, Supes counter-attacking Non, Superboy TKing the object into Lobo). And if multiple Meteorites were used, that is also a no-no. As a special object, only 1 Meteorite can be played at a time.

The guy was using some house rule allowing special objects to stick around. Probably should have included that info earlier, so that's my bad. You should know how bush-league these guys like to play. Which is why I usually stick to playing the two guys I normally play with, since they know the rules.

I've changed the roster up a bit to better reflect my favorite characters.

I've gone with the Starter Ken as opposed to the uncommon because of Sculpt, paint color, and point cost.

Thor got swapped because of better point options.

The hardest choice was who do I swap for Booster Gold, which version of Booster was far easier. I decided to swap out Nightwing since he's not been seeing as much action.

I've got a special match tonight so I've been constructing a team for the event.

The rules are that you must bring a 100pt team and up to 400 points to make a 500 pt team out of the 100 pt team later. Golden age, Feats and BFCs are a go. There will be special restrictions regarding move values and HSS but all it means is the characters can't use HSS and are considered to have a speed of 8.

My team will be:

101 Ryu
106 Ken

Quick and clean point totaling that fits the confines of the rules well. I'm concerned about Ryu dropping too soon, but we'll see how it goes.

The other 400 pts will be made of Ken's fellow "Deadlies"

E-1 Superman with Rip it Up
Nico
Michael Carter with Not So Special
Supergirl at 100pts with Stunning Blow

This brings the total to 494, for the last bit I'm torn between either Vendetta on a character or Loner on Michael.

BFCs are likely going to be: Ordinary Day, Bizarro World and Low Gravity.

I'll post how it all went, if it went at all, later tonight.

Crazy Bee
11/18/2011, 22:20
Ok to recap the tourney:

The 100pt setup remained unchanged and Ken had scored 2 kills for himself with Ryu's assist.

The remaining 400 however changed considerably due to a rule saying objects were not to be used in game. The characters and feats used now were

Master Chief with the Hammer
Michael Carter with Loner and Starstruck Admirer
Superboy with Drag
Supergirl at 100pts with Stunning Blow

Michael Carter scored his first kill this evening. Putting him on the scoreboard.

I suspect that after LOTR and the Superman FF come out Supergirl will be swaped for her FF version. As for LOTR, I think I might recruit a version of Merry or Pippin or the Duo or Legolas. Maybe others. I'll have to see.

EDIT: Likely Legolas will be replacing either B5, Squirrel Girl, Nico or Archangel

Crazy Bee
12/22/2011, 02:50
I just wrapped up a game with a friend, Squirrel Girl got her first KO tonight. She KOed a WoS Deadpool, how's that for comic accuracy.

Anyway I'm looking to update the list of characters in light of the new sets that have been released. Brainiac 5 and Nico are looking to be cut in order to expand the roster into the new licenses. I'm unsure who else will be swapped out, I'm going to have to sleep on it.

Crazy Bee
12/22/2011, 04:03
Well, despite lacking KOs. Brainy stays on in the Gang of 13. HoT Nico however is cut, she's just not contributing in the fights like she used to. Master Chief with the Hammer and Legolas have been added to the gang bringing the numbers up to a full 13.

I'll be needing to whip up some new team builds to really wreck my friends up.

Crazy Bee
01/18/2012, 03:51
Ah it's been a while, haven't been playing much in the way of constructed. But I got in a couple games and Supergirl got two kills, while Superboy got a single kill.

Crazy Bee
02/14/2012, 12:35
Time for another roster swap and update.

FF Thor has gained 2 kills. GSX Storm and GSX Prof X

Main set Supergirl is getting swapped out for her FF counterpart, who has also gained 3 kills of her own.

Brainiac 5 is getting dropped from the gang in favor of bringing some more Marvel balance to the gang. Quasar is now in. Quasar has gained 5 kills of his own since the time of his addition.

Crazy Bee
02/24/2012, 23:16
I played a game tonight with E-1 Superman and gained three kills for him bringing his KO count up to seven.

I killed the GF T-bolt Ross/ Rulk AE combo
All Star Bizarro
GF Abomination.

Crazy Bee
03/26/2012, 14:08
Played a couple games recently and got one kill with Cammy and one with Michael Carter.

Crazy Bee
05/02/2012, 14:41
I'm going to revise the gang again, finalizing it for Saturday.

Quasar is out.
Thor is out in favor of his FCBD counterpart.
Master Chief is out.

Nico Minoru is back in.
More to be determined.

New rule for Kill Counts: the kill doesn't count if the killing piece has the Infinity Gauntlet.

Crazy Bee
05/02/2012, 14:46
I think the Target Hawkeye might be joining the Gang, to replace Master Chief.

Crazy Bee
05/18/2012, 15:52
OK the switch has been made. Quasar is gone, Thor has been swaped for the FCBD counterpart, Master Chief is gone.

Joining the Gang are Nico Minoru again and Cap 210 Klaw Repainted into Mega Man.

"The Gauntlet Rule" has been revised, Kills with Gauntlets will be kept seperate and marked with an *.

Thugit may be done but Inc will carry on.

Crazy Bee
06/02/2012, 01:29
Played a couple games this week. Mega Man got his first kill, Superboy picked up 4 kills and Superman and Supergirl each got another kill added to their totals.

No IG was used in kills.

Crazy Bee
06/05/2012, 16:44
As part of my "Justice for Booster" surge I'm trying to get going, every game I'm able to use him Michael Carter will be on the team.

Crazy Bee
06/09/2012, 23:10
I played a 500 pt game last night with a swarm of Booster Golds. Michael Carter had the IG with all five gems and KOed an Ultimates Cap from Avengers, the common and rare Iron Man pieces from Avengers, FCBD War Machine and Team Pack Nick Fury.

So I'm adding 5 to Michael Carter's KO count.

Crazy Bee
08/04/2012, 18:57
Broke my heart to do it, but I had to sell Archangel to fund my move out west. So he's out. Legolas will also be dropped I think. In their places, I'll be adding Hawkeye from CW and rare Wasp from CW.

Crazy Bee
01/16/2013, 21:06
It's been a while and since selling moving west this thread has been sorely neglected. Hopefully that will change.

Time to get some updates in here:

Archangel has been regained and joins the list once more.

Legolas cleaned up at Hobbit/LOTR events. Gaining 7 kills.

BM052 Booster Gold has joined the Gang, replacing the Origins LE, and has gained 3 KO's.

Crazy Bee
01/16/2013, 21:15
There have been many sets released since I did a configuration of the gang.

And I've had some changes regarding my top 13 favorite characters.

Changes to the Gang List will be forthcoming.

Wow, do I have an update. Played against 600pt CM Galactus. Used a Future theme team with Booster Gold and Spidey 2099 w/belt as well as 10th Superman, Brainiac 5 and Sun Boy.

Turn 1:

Sun Boy opened up with psy blast, Galactus one shot him into oblivion.

Booster did a follow up run shot and hit, Galactus missed.

Superman, Spider-Man and Brainiac 5 moved into position.

Spidey's belt landed on +2.

Turn 2:

Spidey countered PC using the belt's free action.

Brainiac followed up with an Outwit and G failed his roll.

Booster did a duo attack that took off 5 clix before Galactus landed a hit that KOed Booster.

Turn 3:

Spidey and Brainy did their magic again, countering Cosmic and Outwitting defense.

Then Superman came in with a heavy, pealing another 6 clix off of Galactus.

Finally Spidey charged with his +2 and KOed Galactus.

Long story short: Spidey 2099 is on the board, and what a kill he got.
