View Full Version : Veronica Mars - The Mafia Game
Okay. I have no idea if the interest exists. But I thought I'd try it anyways.
Rather than run a game from my TV Series, I thought I'd stick to one series in particular, and that series is Veronica Mars. One of my favorite shows ever. I don't expect a huge turn out on this one, so it'll be a small game, but I'm hoping at least 15 (though more would obviously be welcome).
So, who wants to come to Neptune and get a little Mars?

Wow, can't believe this slipped through my view.
It is either slipping through a lot of people, or interest is low. Regardless, I am hoping for enough interest to run it.

Oh yeah, I just wanted to fake claim as Mac in season 3. :) And Duncan was a fake claim in season 4...

Honestly I am not signing up because I know nothing about the tv show and would feel lost the entire game. Plus with my luck I'd end up mafia as well so would be royally screwed in the game :-/. It's like that time I tried to run a 24 themed game...
The thing about taking an entire TV show and compressing it into a small game, gives me lots of room to be creative with roles. I don't plan to leave my mafia stranded.
Can I get a 10th? I'd like a 10th.

I'd sign up a second time, but that would increase my chance of getting Wallace. I kinda hate Wallace.
And Piz, but everybody hates Piz.
I was never a Wallace fan either. But I at least see his importance to the show. Piz... nope.

I don't think 15 is ever going to happen, but I will run this game regardless. I have never run such a small game before. Could be fun. I already have a couple ideas.
I am going out of town tomorrow for the rest of the week, so sign ups will stay open until I get back. But after that, I'll start to plan. :)

Missed this with my little absence. How could I say no?
Well... I have 10. Can I run a game with 10? Smallest game I've ever had by a fair margin. Need to think about this...
I think I should probably give up on trying to find more people, eh.
Need to rethink my ideas to make a 10 person game feasible. Hopefully I can get it going next week.
I know very little (re: none) of the source material, but I'll be game to play in it.

Okay. I have chosen the 12 roles.
I did decided to limit it to just Season 1 of the show, because with only 12 players, and so many good characters, I didn't want to have to pick and choose. Plus, it makes more sense for a story.
Basically, all I need to do now is write them up, send them out and hope the game is balanced (not sure how to balance a 12 person game, but I think I may have got it right)
About half way done writing the roles. Will finish them tomorrow, then we can start.
Roles went out. Game will start tomorrow.
