Here's a variant I haven't seen discussed yet...the 2-headed giant.

How it works is that there's 2 players on opposing sides of the map. Each team agrees to the point build and makes their individual teams of no greater than that number (i.e. 200, 300, etc.).

Game play alternates among players on opposing sides (i.e. I'll play, my 1st opponent will play, my teammate will play, my 2nd opponent, then back to me).

This option is a LOT of fun and is very balanced for those of you that like the multiplayer game.

It also works with 3 people, except that the person on their own builds a team as large as if they had a teammate. (i.e. opposing side builds 200 points/player, you build 400 total since you have no teammate). This variant still plays on opposing sides of the map, but play turns are as if it's a head-to-head match.

Anyone else out there tried these variations?
