View Full Version : Perplex and Energy Explosion
My friend and I are having a debate over whether perplex can raise the damage on an energy explosion attack. I'm saying no and he says yes. Although I can see how it might be possible i'm curious what the experts think. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
You may perplex a printed value. This is done before an attack action is declarred. You may therefore perplex up/down the damage value. Then the damage value is reduced to 1 for an explosion attack.
You may at this time use Enhancement (which is automatic and does not need to be declared before the roll).
You may also use Shield skill which must be declarted before rolling and costs and action.
Also you may use 2 l-bolts to make 2 explosion attacks which can sum to 2 points damage if both targets are adjacent

To clarify:
Perplex will NOT affect EE, since it changes your printed damage value before the attack, and the attack then changes whatever the new value is down to 1.
Enhancement/SHIELD WILL affect EE, since they kick in after the attack is already declared, raising the 1 to 2+.
And yes, any fig with EE and multi-target can hit mulitple adjacent figures to overlap the splash damage.
Makes SHIELD+Ultron pretty nasty. :)
Thanks for the posts I appreciate it alot.
