Ok, I've been a fan of the TK/Throw squad for quite some time, and with X-Plosion, I'm tweaking a variant that I'm itching to try in tournament play. Any advice, or input is welcome and appreciated!

U. Sauron
E. Hercules
V. Storm
R. Jean Grey
E. Wasp
R. Doombot
E. Hyrda Medic

Ok: Wasp, Storm and Doombot fly Jean Grey and Herc and Sauron into position. Sauron can charge, carrying Hercules, and Doombot carries Storm around, using the medic +1 attack while Wasp acts as a transport out of battle and a backup tie up figure. Jean stays by the medic to TK any injured back into battle.

I've played variations of this team with Bullseye and Spiral, but the charge and MC of Sauron and the flight/RCE damage of Storm make for intresting upgrades.

What I'm most curious about is if Hercules is the right brick fo this squad; and do I need to go to Shadowcat for further flexibility on indoor maps - she's an easy swap with Wasp.

Thanks!

Very interesting, but it seems that a team that can take out the medic makes the jean grey useless. Also, i'm worried that Jean grey's AV isn't high enough to TK medic'ed characters back, i don't know what to say really, i'm not that adept at the game

Actually, no attack roll is required for TKing a friendly piece.

And, from my experience, if they're attacking my medic, then they have problems.

However, good point with the medic...any other suggestions?

Another figure to consider(if you have her) is Deathbird. she would be an easy swap for Sauron. overall good team.

Put a Veteran Shadowcat in for wasp so she can protect herself while dealing some good damage. Overal a pretty good team.

Ok, good suggestions...I'd like to ask some questions about them!

Why Deathbird over Sauron? Deathbird hits from range wheras Sauron is a close combat figure, why would you make that switch, Napa? -Not sarcasm, just trying to dig deeper!

Gambit1689: Shadowcat is an intresting turn; gives tons of flexibility on indoor maps, my question is if the loss of the free move action from Wasp - and copied by the Doombot - is worth it...or do you think the call might be a Wasp *and* a Shadowcat; losing the Doombot? That's where I'm caught; the Doombot can copy the hydra team or the free move...

Keep the feedback comming! The current version of the team is 4-0 is friendly fire so far!

Deathbird has bcf like Sauron. she also running shot, rce, and shield deflection. i have found her to be quite deadly.
