Here is a perplex revalatoin! One Nightcrawler or one unique flash and like 20 or 30 conartist HA HA! now you have them doing like 10-15 clix of damage at like a 15-20 attack now that is crazy they are not losing and running away from thier opponet atthe same time that is such a sexy combo. Cheap but oh so sexy!

Anyone else think Con Artist looks like DBZ's Number 18? A friend of mine painted a pair of pants on his Con Artist and put the sculpt on an OWAW Superman dial. Viola! Instant Number 18!

SB25 - I hope you are not thinking HSS attack with that, You can't perplex damage on an HSS attack. Once you do the attack you reduce the damage to 1, and you can't perplex in the middle of an action. However, you can still perplex their AV thru the roof and make many successful attacks.

Is it true that you can't perplex the damage on an HSS? I can't find a reference to that.

Well... yes and no....

On a HSS hit-n-run attack..... you can Perplex...

On a HSS multi-hit attack... you can Perplex, but Damage is always reduced to 1. So, Perplexing Damage on a HSS Multi-hit attack is moot.

If you're doing the close combat Hypersonic attack, where you roll until you fail, the damage value is set at one. Perplex doesn't help damage. However, if you are performing a "drive-by" Hypersonic attack, your damage can be perplexed as normal.

You can perplex the damage for the hit and run part of HSS, but it wouldn't work on the multi-shot part (because it's always at one).

yep, and with a nightcrawler with his damage perplexed to six I took out an e thing and a e firelord in tourny play this weekend. useing the ol hit and run. course, the guy was too silly to have had any taxis for hi heavy hitters, so they would move and have to wait. while I pounded that ###!~

if you are doing a hypersonic attack, you can just perplex the attack, and you wouldn't need to role anything for awhile, as long as you don't role snake eyes.

Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the conartist into her perplex slots? I mean will your opponent even take a shot at her, if they know she cant do any damage unless they SMACK her one?

You could use a figure with Pulse wave to activate the honies...

Perplex may be stack as long as you have more perplexing characters, but you can only perplex between actions, you can't call a HSS multi-attack and then Perplex once your Damage is reverted to 1.

Finally a use for V Avalanche, to pulse wave the Con artists and your Colossus in the same turn. LE is better if you have him as he is Ultra cheap.
