This is my first post, so if its no good im sorry.

Was talking with one of my friends the other night who we have just converted into playing clix. We were talking about possible tactics and he came up with a few for the higher point games but I wanted to get peoples opinion on them.

Tactic, the biggest hardest character you can find (preferably Sinestro) making the points up with perplexers and the odd probability control behind him. They can work together to ramp his stats through the roof to inflict maximum carnage from 10 square distance. Then darkside through the game if possible, forcing people to come to you.

Is using mass amounts of perplex a viable option for a game, if you can get a brick style character such as The Thing and a load of perplexers then his damage with a forklifty would be enough to take out pretty much everyone in a single hit.

From a rules standpoint... these examples are viable and legal.

Yeah, it works, but just one fig with a bunch of perplexers will still get beaten by a solid team with a solid player running it. After all, who would be foolish enough to just RUN in there and get whipped? they'd probably take cover themselves and wait a bit themsevles

I suppose if that happened then you could start moving them up, the rookie Mystique is a member of the brotherhood and gets a free movement action.

Get sinestro (bigger the better) to get just outside the opposing teams range and use the perplex to increase his range for shooting and start picking them off like that. In my opinion nobody wants to run anywhere near Sinestro due to the capture ability and if you stay out of their range there is not a lot they can do about it.

true. and it is a good tactic. excpet the mixing of dc and marvel thing. Why go for super cheese when you can just use a few mid range figs, a bunch of perplexers. then go.

While Sinestro is pretty good for this combo, a Sentinel is probably better. With only one attacker, Running Shot really helps. Vet Doom is a good choice too, but of course he doesn't get multiple attacks.
