Are objects from the indoor/outdoor adventure packs legal? I saw a thread (that "shield figs banned thread") that kind of said they weren't.
Do both ppl have to agree to use objects? If I want to use them why would me opponent want to let me? Does my opponent get to see which object I want to use before he decides? (sure you can use em, oh wait dumpsters..hmm...nah I changed my mind).
Do I have to choose my team, submit it, then ask my opponent? or Is there a way to find out what the dilly is before i grab my superstrength team, yo.
if the objects arent legal then what about the maps in the indoor/outdoor packs?
Are Marvel Maps legal in DC games and vica-verca?
I was always under the impression that anything you bought from wizkids you were allowed to play in thier tourneys, I thought this was thier 'big thing' too (nothing banned ect.
A little off topic cause i'm too lazy to jump to MKRealms at the moment but how about the Dungeons Artifact sets?

Adventure Kit Objects can only be used when both parties agree to it.
What they don't specify is exactly when permission must be given, or when the object must be chosen.
At my events, I'll probably rule that the use of AKObjects must be discussed before players toss their three tokens into the pot.

3-D objects from the Indoor/Outdoor adventure packs are legal in any sanctioned event (tourney) as long as both players agree to their usage.
Does my opponent get to see which object I want to use before he decides? (sure you can use em, oh wait dumpsters..hmm...nah I changed my mind).
Hmm..well I guess this all goes toward Fellowship.
All you have to declare is that you want to use one of the 3-D objects. I do not believe you have to declare exactly which object until you actually place the object.
Does this answer?

Man I'm out 45 bucks then. I guess I should have checked to see if they were legal to play before i bought them. Lesson learned. Can anyone answer the other questions?

what we've done at our venue is to still use the tokens from the starter sets, but once you've picked up a token (and revealed it to your opponent) say "I will now substitute this object for it." If you pick up a yellow/light token, then yoo can only use a light object, thesame for a red/heavy token.
This way you can still shift the mix to the size of object you want (by putting those tokens face down in the middle of the map), but your opponent could still pull some of them.
Make sense? Critiques, comments . . .
Actually Skeevo... that's exactly how it supposed to be done.... everyone puts in 3 tokens...
then the players take turns taking one token... revealing it... then they can either place the token... or decalre the object being substituted and place the object..

As far as I've ever seen, the maps from the kits are legal for play. If you get the choice of map and one is available, you can use it without issue.
Mage Knight, devil if I know.
I happen to agree with Tsannik that the decision to allow or not allow objects comes down to Fellowship. If a reasonable player with a reasonable team asks to use Objects, then I don't see why a reasonable opponent should refuse them.
I know, I'm being optimistic about the "reasonable" part, but I'm silly like that.

Letting the opponent decide is a ridiculous procedure and is tantamount to banning the objects, as you indicate. First promos and now this. Let's hear no more about how Wizkids will never, ever ban anything.
IMO, this should be settled before an event starts so that players know where they stand, like with house rules.

If you can use the adventure packs without your opponent's consent, it's also just another "wealth advantage" that players with more money have over the kids who use their allowances to buy heroclix. It's also patently unfair for someone to use "super objects" if their opponent can't. You don't pay any points for using the objects, so there is no real way to balance the slight but genuine edge you get from playing your own personal objects.
In general, the solution I've seen is for the person playing with special objects to have enough on hand for their opponent to place ones they choose too.

Funny you should mention that... I've been debating whether to pick up a few more Adventure Kits if I can get them cheap enough and make them available for all my players.
What the heck, I already dropped over $130 on laminated maps, I can spare a couple bucks more...

wow i only blew $81 on lamanated maps. you got ripped. :(
I'd have no problems if i was allowed to bring enough object for my opponont to play...cause i'd know that my hobo superman would get one.
As to the wealth advantage..Isn't that what CMGs and CCGs are all about? you can't win if you dont spend the bling-bling for the clix-clix. or lamenated maps.

I probably did get ripped, but I needed them done fast. That's six maps, by the way -- you do the same?
And if so, please share where so others can get them that cheap! :)
I may surprise the heck out of my opponent sometime soon by offerin to let him use my objects when I'm playing a team without Strength at all. Won't that just blow his mind?
(That, and when I finally *do* make a Strength team it'll cause anyone who denies me to look like an even bigger jerk. ;))

hey, i did mine at kinos. cost a buck fiddy a square foot. comes out to $13.50 a map. This is the cheap a$s lamenation tho but its still works good (ie. map stays down, nice and flat). They tried to push me the $2.25 lamenation...I don't know what that is tho. Hey what do you carry your maps in? I roll them up and wrap two big rubber bands. I tried buyig those poster holders but they wont fit....It's a real pain in the a$s.

It's not fair if players are told that they can't use pieces that they paid good money for. And the cost is less than the cost of an OWAW Superman or Premiere Set map. Anyone who can afford to buy boosters can afford to buy an Adventure kit.
A better change would be for the objects to go into a common pool, as with the cardboard tokens. Then when a token is drawn, any player could choose to take an object from the pool. That way, if you put a single dumpster into the pool, you can't be sure that your opponent won't get to place it first. This would be equitable and would also promote sales as you might want to put several dumpsters into the pool to be sure of getting one.

hey if you laminate your map and roll it up to travel, does it still lay down flat? or does it start to curl at the sides?
