Character Creation Volcana

Well Its Character Creation time. I have decided to do up the last Villian in Secret Wars, Volcana. My only thoughts would be just give her a straight out damage. I wanted to make her have a human klix. It makes as much sense as Colossus. :D She really doesnt do anything other then shoot.

Well any comments good/bad/ugly.

Energy Explosion She has a tendance to have explosive power when she hits.

Energy Shield/Deflection She has ability to melt any projectiles that come near her. She even can affect energy beams that come at her.

Range Combat Expert She deserves this more then just about anyone.

Cool, but the 10 attack is a bit high. I wouldn't put her at the same level of Vet Storm. I would put 8, as she has only seen very limited action since her creation in Secret Wars. The rest is good.

I would put her above storm actually. She never missed when using her powers. At least not during secret wars. I was very surprised that Titania only got a 10 for her attack. She should of got better. Only person she couldnt hit was Spidey.

Hey Manchine, you have more posts huh? Never even been to this board before, very cool.

Anyway, I do agree, I think a 10 might be alittle high, though not by much really, especially for a unique. maybe a 9 AV to start, dropping some of the others as you go down. And maybe drop ESD and RCE on her last click or two, representing her being near exhausted and not able to do too much. most figures in HC are done as such, and I think its a good way to show how these characters might have depleted their energy reserves by then.

Dropped it down. Hmm ok. Good point on the last kliq. I was also thinking of droping one of the klixs also what do you think?

Good idea. Sure shes tough, and her blasts are quite STRONG, but shes really just a frumpy housewife with powers, and maybe dropping her Life Clicks would be a good way to help show that.

Well took yours and JayThor's suggestion and lowered the Attack down and took off one klix of health.

VOLCANA Custom fig and dial:

Well, heres my chance to show off my custom. Made only for my Secret Wars game. I painted her a bit too dark, but she is wicked looking. I used a Sue Storm body with Human Torch's flames. The hair is a bit of Elektras hair and flames too.

some one else remebers Volcanna? cool. actualy Volcanna got beefed up power wise back in 1991, apparently Volcanna has three forms, her normal Magma form, a rock form, and a form made up of Volcannic ash (basiclay Sandman's powers)

I only remember her in her Magma form. Thats why I made her as a Minion of Doom. Just like in Secret Wars.

honestly, it;s only happened in (as far as I know) her last appaearance, it was during a "Days of future past" annuals from either '90 or '91 (running through that years annuals for New Mutants, X-men, X-factor, and Fantastic Four) in the Fantastic Four annual(#23) there was a back-up story, that while at a hospital, Moonstone woke up from a come and went on a rampage and Volcanna "accidentaly" turned into her stone form

and while I don't have it myself those "leaflet" versions of the Marvel Handbook has her the following year turining to Ash to fight Klaw in Fantastic Four annual #24

as far as I know theese were her last appearances, anyone know if she turned up again?

I'd drop her range, she wasn't a trained combatant in any sense, most of her blasts were pretty close up. I'd give her an 8 at best.

I think Volcana is way over-powered.

To me she was just a normal woman that was given this one set of super-powers - turn into magma and blast. Even a 9 attack is too high - giving her the same fighting/attacking capability as Batman and most Captain Americas - just doesn't seem right.

I think she should have killer damage - and maybe a good defense mixed with defensive powers - but a low attack and short dial - something few HC's have - a super-powerful being that can ge dropped relatively easy.

5 Clicks deep with 3 clicks of awesome power would be what I'd like. 3 clicks of 3 Damage + RCE - a range of about 6, 18 defense with either Energy Shield and/or Invulnerability and a high attack of 8.

She may have not missed often, but that could have been due to Doom's Perplex :)

Otherwise Volcana was just an overweight woman from Denver (wasn't that the city that was taken?)

I put her in the same league as Human Torch. Much like Titania wasnt a trained fighter it just came natural to her.

I do agree having her have 8 range is what she should have.

As we all know Volcana is in FF set. Which is a good thing. My orginal one is really old but doesnt look to far off after you take away the Activation Kliq.
