Savage Hulk: Is it just me or.............

I honestly think that whether or not the points work out right, S Hulk was made to 201 purposely. That way no one can play him at the Marquee. Except for possibly Mandarin, 200 point teams are going to have a hard time dealing with him if you have to rely on what you draw.

I'd guess it depends on if your marquee plays 200 or 300 pt. I know at the ones at my local shop it's been up to a vote by the players. He can be used in a 300, you just have to be really careful with him. 300 point team of Hulk, Green Goblin, Destiny and Paramedic is killer... but what are the odds of pulling exactly that out of three boosters?? heh

Nope Marquee's are usually 200 points unless otherwise stated by the judge/venue.

Actually Manchine, the instructions with the Xplosion LEs said that a 300 point/3 booster event was suggested.

Which is what I had planned to do all along because of the great high point charatcers in Xplosion. That way a person has a better chance to fill up on support pieces if they pull someone who's 120+ points.

I have to admit to a certain growing admiration for Savage Hulk.

Truth be told, I really enjoy playing my favorite figures. Dr. Doom is one, though I have yet to win with him. :) I love the Hulk and was very disappointed with his IC version, now along comes Savage Hulk.

I played Savage Hulk cheese last night and had a good time (299/300 pts. : U. Hulk, U. Green Goblin, V. Paramedc, E. Con Artist, E. Con Artist). Hitting E. Firelord for 10 clicks was the most satisfying thing I've ever done in HeroClix. :devious:

If I pulled him in a Marquee I'd be very tempted, and would in all liklihood. Yes, he draws fire, but he's supposed to! Watching the eyes of your opponent trail the figure's every stop, turn, and punch is beautiful.

While taking damage, Savage Hulk meted out death to Firelord, Nightcrawler, Destiny. He's not proud of smacking the old lady, she just got in the way, ya' know? :classic:

Gotta love the Savage Hulk. Him and U Shadowcat went into a room with OWAW Supes, E Blastaar, and Vision. And with a little help from a She Hulk backstab (it was a 4 way game) completely mashed everyone in the room. Then left and laid a beating upon E Iron man.

I played a game where my vet. Colosus and vet. Mandarin creamed the Savage Hulk in 2 attacks. Any team w/ outwit has a distinct advantage against the U Hulk.

Yeah, that is why I made sure to say "except Mandarin" in my original post. Outwit completely changes things.
