First off, I don't mean to offend anyone by the contents of this thread. If I do, pm me & I'll delete this without any other arguement.

I just want to know what is the "definition" of a HCRealms "Moderator." I know that these guys watch us and make sure that we are within guidelines, but what is their "Official" job? That's all that I want to know.

I'm just curious becasue I recently got a warning from a moderator who has only posted 27 times and his last post was on 6/9/02. I know you don't have to post, and I'm not bashing anyone, objecting to anything that was done, or accusing anyone of doing anything at all. I just want to know what is a "Moderator."

Good question. First off this site is part of the Realmworx group of sites. MKRealms was the first site and when this site was first opened we used the MKRealms mods who for the most part played this game, at least a bit.

Since then we've been able to find the sites own moderators, Herocomplex, Xanth, Webhead, Doomtoy and a few more on the way.

In general the other mods, myselff & Stormfox aren't as into the game as the regular mod but we do know our stuff and check out the site to make sure things stay kosher.

This brings up another question for the moderators.... How long does a warning stay on your "record"? When is probation over and you become a free citizen again?

A moderator is someone who has even more time to lounge around on this Realm than I do, and that says a lot :)

Actually the warnings are supposed to come off after a few months as long as the behaviour doesn't repeat itself on a regular basis.

Thanks for the reminder on that one, need to look into this and start removing some old warnings.
