Hello again,

Added my custom inner dials for the Surfer and Angel.

I'm sure my choices for Surfer will start up some contraversy.

I wanted to make him tough, but not TOO rediculous. Right now, his figure costs 256 pts... he he...

Starting off more calculated and then gaining RS and Leadership as things got tough... again... just a stab at it. :^)

As for Angel... I just wanted an X-Men "flyer" who could swoop in and pull a figure out of combat or assist quickly (Charge and Defend).

I chose this costume and "career phase" because I thought he looked really good. and he'd color up the X-Men ranks.

I think he turned out pretty cool.

Thanx for looking,

FeralParrot

All your sculpts for Surfer and Angel look amazing. I can only hope that when WizKids gets around to making these figures that they do as well as you have done here.

As far as the dials I think you're making Silver Surfer a little too powerful. He is a cosmic being, but so are Thanos and Firelord and neither of them is anywhere near as good as this Surfer dial in HeroClix. I'm not a huge Silver Surfer fan so I don't know if he has gotten more powerful at some point and this is your portrayal of that time or what. I would say bring him back down below 200 points to make him more consistent with the rest of the HeroClix universe.

The Angel dial looks just about perfect to me although I'm not sure about the 12 movement. He only has wings, no other propulsion and currently the longest charge range is 5 squares with Rogue and Toad. I would say cut his top movement down to 8 but let him keep it for 2 or 3 clicks. His wings just can't possibly make him move as fast as Rogue.

Overall though, very nice work.

Absolutely awesome. Excellent job. And I don't have any problems with Surfers Dial.

WOW! I love that last pic of Angel. You really captured his grace while aloft!

VERY good Angel fig!!! I wouldn't mind seein that in the next set.
Stats- I have very little to say about Silver Surfer. You hit him pretty nicely (very LE Superman-esque)
Angel could be just as good with 6 clicks of health and Super Senses to reflect his aerial agility and reflexes.

VERY nice sclupts.

I think that there is no such thing as a figure being too good. If it costs a high enough amount of points, then whats the deal? A three-hudred point army verses that Surfer, who takes up all the spots aside from some medics and taxies or whatever, and Surfer can be beaten.

One comment. I would try to add a little color to Surfer. Something like a red or purple energy ball in one of his hands of something. Just to give him a little spunk.

His dial does seem I bit expensive but I love the Surfer and I do realize he is super powerful and your just trying to show that, but when the real one comes out I hope he is more in the ballpark of 150-190, that way he can still be played in most 300 pt games.

Just a few suggestions.

Silver Surfer looks great!
I am curious as to why you chose Leadership for him though.

I personally have never thought of him being a leader. From what I can remember in comics, he was always supporting someone else as a leader whenever he was in a group situation. I specifically remember several occasions where he took direction from Mr. Fantastic.

Of course, in the Marvel Universe, everyone bows to Mr. Fantastic's superior intellect. Well, except Dr. Doom.

Wow, you should work for Heroclix in sculpting. Say though - I've heard now that Angel in the X-Men has healing! Wow, imagine a veteran Angel with support. Was Chuck Austen talking to the WizKids peeps?

I've never heard or seen of Angel healing anyone. I think your getting a load of smoke blowed up your @ss.

Angel does heal now...part of this "Second Mutation" going on ( Beast looking like a cat, Rogue loosing her powers yada yada ) Well Angel now has the ability to heal with his own blood.

Wow never knew. Guess I should start reading comics again.

Yeah, I lost touch with comics around the "Spider Clone saga" since then story lines have gotten out of control....this one included.

Hmm...so his second click would have support! That would be great. He could push - cut himself - basically, to heal others. And maybe regeneration then too. But I'd give Angel that Energy deflection power in his first clicks - he's so hard to hit ranged-style...

Man, I'm getting out of hand here, but R/E/V versions of Archangel - first one would be called Angel, second Angel (Defenders) third Archangel. Then a unique Archangel with metal wings. Otherwise a special sculpt for the experienced one.

Well I guess you could give him support to show his new powers but I dunno how long these "second mutation' powers will last. By the time Angel does come out as a clix his power of healing could be gone...oh who knows. Also I like Energy Deflection that would be cool but it would take the spot of defend. Maybe giving him a 16 Defend ( To get troops out of battle ) then give him ED on his next click.
