View Full Version : Here's a little story

Once upon a time, there was a great kingdom called, uh, smlaerch, and in this great kingdom and the many kingdoms surrounding it, the followers all played a great and fun game, xilcoreh. And they laughed, and they singed, and they had fun and games, and they all became good friends.

But ruling this great kingdom was an evil king (King Goddard) and he hated laughing and fun. So one day, when the new noisolpx expansion was added to the game, and he watched as his followers cheered happily for the new xpack, he decided he could no longer take it. This was HIS kingdom, and things would be HIS way!

So the evil ruler began his evil plan. He started by making sure angry followers didn't just eventually leave his cult for a happy kingdom. To do this, he used Evil Sorceror tricks so that no one could even mention the beautiful kingdoms of yticlabac and xirtamnoitaerc and others, lest they're words be replaced by mystical number signs.

When he was sure all his subjects were trapped in his kingdom, he began to eradicate all cheery conversations about the new xpack. If one of his subjects were to mention possible inclusions of the new pack, their words would be erased immediately.

People began fearing the king's ruthless rule so much that they were scared to even mention the name of the xpack, so when refering to their guesses of inclusions, they simply used the magic word, "elppaenip".

His rule became even more ruthless, and he ordered that all twinz born were to be killed immediately. All cheer was gone, and the only conversations allowed were about how their game was borken, and about rookie firelord, and about how they're quitting xilcoreh.

It's too bad that the mods are going to delete this as soon as they realize what goddard backwords is, but in doing so, they will only prove my point.

I think you may be overreacting a bit, but atleast your post amused me for a few minutes. :P

BTW, Draddog's real name is (insert first name) Goddard. Your plan of spelling key words backwards kinda blew up in your face that time. :)

There is no epplaenip!

Only stsil!

I find it somewhat true. If I were to type www.##############.com you won't know what I'm talking about

what I was reffering to was the site that is a matrix of creation

This is feeling like a block watch meeting where the ones running it are ex-marine comandos. Some community

rotflmao! You tell it man! At least if some form of explaination was offered for some of the "knee-jerk" reactions that happen around here, it might be tolerable, if not understandable.

Puuka

I'm not even sure why Creation Matrix was banned. It makes no sense. Did CM win a prize or contest that HCR was in? are they pouting?

Thanks to them not being "sessabmud", they knew!

I must admit it is a bit Natzi-ish to put the websites of your competitors on the list of banned words.

It's also in poor taste to kill all of the threads like tipplej's Biggest tournament in the World. Granted after a little over a week they created a forum for these tournament report type threads but only the thread starter can post to the threads so they're still dead. What fun is it to write up tournament reports and not be able to interact with your readers through the message board?

Before all this happened I even donated $20 to this site ... that was like 4 weeks ago. I still don't have the cool little donation bar above my name.

I like this community a lot but I think the Moderators are taking some of this regulation stuff a bit too far. If you've got that much free time on your hands why not go play some HeroClix or something and quit messing up what used to be a very awesome website.

I agree. One of the most exciting things I used to do everyday (which shows you how lame my days are) was to go onto Realms and see who won in tipplej's tourney or Sundevil's Tag-team matches. Now, I spend less and less time in the General Section and more time outside. Curse you moderators for making me venture into the vast openess and fresh air! Gah, sunlight!

And here I thought it was something like Free-Enterprise or Capitilism . . .

What fun is it

Those being subjective value judgments each individual would answer on their own. I can only give my opinion to those questions, not venture facts.

Didn't they just do a site change/upgrade? They'll get to it! Which more important, the site running or you being recognized? Matyrs that cry for attention are the worst kind . . .

I gotta agree too. I understand wanting to keep things clean, but when you can't refer to Robin/Nightwing as #### Grayson, and the word skys####er gets mangled, it might be time to lighten up on the filter just a bit.

That was a really great story. You should tell more stories.

Twinz was threatened and eventually banned from this site for challenging the decisions of the moderators -- its like in iraq or somewhere if you say "Hussem should not have bombed the US this one time" you get death

please excuse my poor spelling on both of my posts

You should write a story about "enorraM ddoT." Most of us older members remember him. I think he led to the king's invention of "gninnab" people.

Yeah, you can't even type the Name #### Tracy. That's a comic book. In fact, it's one of the most renowned comic books of all time. It's a classic. #### TRACY!!!! Or is it #### Tracey? I can't remember. Anyway, I'm sure you get my drift. I also really, really, really mourn the loss of Tipplej's Biggest tournament in the world. I would check back to see people's responses several times a day, and I made a prediction on every single match. I can't believe that sort of thing wasn't deemed worthy of discussion. I mean, what else is this website for, if not to test out and discuss the usefulness of figures in an actual battle. Losing that thread, cut my interest in this site in half. I used to come on several times daily, now I go 2 or 3 days without checking in. Sad but true.

Yeah, the moderators are getting a bit heavy handed and it's getting a bit old. I'm a moderator over at heroclixtradingpost.com (granted, it's not the fan site that this is) and only ONCE did I ever have to warn somebody and delete a thread.

Generally if you treat people like adults, they will act like adults. Treat them like children and that's what they become.

bigbird

the King deleted all the war threads angrily excusing himself: "Politics have NO PLACE on this site!!!" even though they were all in "another realm"

Brigadier M

On the other hand, though, I imagine there isn't an infinite amount of space on the servers. Can we really archive everything indefinitely? Maybe there's a space issue involved. Probably not, but I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Except on the language stuff.;) #### Tracy, indeed!

Hey, Brigadier. Shut up about the editing already and donate some money to get one of those little bars, man ... :)

They'll have time to fix the editting when we all donate enough money so that they can quit their jobs and just do this all the time.

'Course, by then, we'll all be on a site where the people in charge are a little less calous about how they treat their 'guests' ...

I have yet to see any problem editting posts. I can edit any post I have ever made. I commented on this in another thread and Tsannik mentioned that it might be a cookie issue. I have cookies turned on for HCRealms. I also log in automatically. You may want to try enabling cookies or clearing any current cookies that you have from HCRealms and then try editting again.

Hmmm... Suddenly it's letting me edit again. I checked before I made my complaint, and nothing. Saw Mr. P's tips and was going to try them out, but before I had the chance, I saw that in the bottom corner under forum rules it now said you may edit your posts. I swear I hadn't altered a single setting!

I'm just going to assume that it was my complaint that fixed it. And now I shall turn my awesome powers of persuasion upon Wizkids. Hmm, what shall I ask for first??

Hey folks! This post will probably be deleted relatively quickly, but for those of you who get the chance to read it, I thought you might like to know...Fogs & DrH have moved their Light and Middleweight tournaments over to the site you can't say that is in my sig and has Creation & Matrix in it somewhere. ;)
They have their own forum for tournaments on that site, and it's a thing of beauty. Come over and check it out, and if you know Sunny D or tipplej, try and talk them into coming over there, too.
I know the man in charge of the Realms claims that these kinds of posts (the tournament threads) don't add anything to the community, but that's a load of horse manure, and we're proving it at CM. Come check out the fun.:)

Good
i think when Goddard realizes he lost all his visitors to this kingdom for a fun-loving one he might fix this site -
- but, then, there won't be a need since we'll just be hangin' out at the coolsites

You ever notice some of these words show up every night on prime time TV. Cr@p, @$$, #####. Bart Simson says some of these words for Christ sake. As for the war threads & political stuff. I think It's healthy to talk about this stuff with people of like intrests. It helps the healing process. I really don't know of any other online community that teens and "young" adults are on such an even playing field.
