I'm not to happy with this piece. Magus is more powerful than this dial, the only thing good about the dial is it's power cosmic.

I love the Power Cosmic, though I was expecting Mystics and GotG keyword. In the comics when Warlock reattached the 616 time line with the severed time line of the Magus he overlapped them to make it stick. This means that the Magus was on the Guardians of the Galaxy the whole time. Anyway that point is moot cause he's full Power Cosmic anyway.
This dial sort of relies on the Universal Church of Truth Cardinal's and whatever other UCT generics are in the set. Im assuming that they will have perplex due to the way they use the power of religious belief to empower Magus in the comics. This would take care of modest stats and give us a truly powerful Magus. TK is great to have also now, especially with figures like Thanos and Black Bolt! I am also hoping Lord Mar-Vell has the Universal Church of Truth keyword.
Now they just need to make me a 70's Afro Magus who is as powerful as Thanos!

There are figures that are 40pts less that are more powerful. Kinda sad

I'm not so negative about this guy. Mastermind with Power Cosmic is great! He is stealth and he can do penetrating close combat damage! I'm sure i'll play him a lot... Warlock or not Warlock!
It seems like all anybody says anymore is "this piece isn't powerful enough." Everyone said it during the Hulk set, though to a point I understand that since the Superman set spoiled us, but this is a cosmic/mystic themed set. Not everyone can be 200-300pts or it wouldn't be playable. Look at Hammer of Thor, which was mainly built around a pantheon of deities and their adversaries, for a point/cost comparison. That set had some awesome figures at all different point levels. Moondragon and Ronan the Accusar were both 130ish and frigging Ultron was 174.

This dial is ok for a Black Lantern. Not for Magus. This is one of the pieces i was looking for the most, i'm so dissapointed.

Anybody who thinks this dial sucks is ridiculous. Do you not understand the potency of Stealth/Mastermind with POWER COSMIC? That's just downright FILTHY. Combine that with 3 Damage/8 range that can shoot 2 out of 3 turns? You can build a nasty team around this guy.

I don't think anyone thinks this dial sucks, just that its not powerful enough to be vet Magus.

I think the dial is a joke, especially when it took Warlock and Thanos to take him down. The SI Magus has a better dial, he should be a 300 pt beast. He is like the Paralax of Marvel.
I don't know.. he seems pretty dead on for the version that appeared at the end of the latest Guardians of the Galaxy run. Is he the version from Infinity War? No, that's the SI version. This one is still plenty potent. I'm hoping for some Universal Truth Church Templar generics to team with him..

I'm a big fan of the Guardians of the galaxy comic book and this dial isn't Magus. So sad.

I think that this guy is a winner for the cost. He doesn't really have to rely on his light-side alter ego to get the job done (something his heroic counterpart can't say, IMO).

The fact that you think this dial is a joke is ridiculous. And please go back and check the secret invasion Magus dial. He might be more expensive, but there is no way he's better than this guy. I can't believe how many of you were hating on a figure with Power Cosmic, TK, mastermind, psychic blast, exploit weakness, stealth, steal energy and regen. What do you people want?

daponteclix hit the nail on the head.
Front loaded mastermind with powercomic is extremely powerful. He is like a mini-Darksied, and we all know how powerful he is. Exploit plus stealth is even a step better, but with the mastermind, he can tear apart most teams. Superman TA will be a problem (as with all stealth figures), but the front loaded TK will help with that nasty HSS that you constantly see on Supes, as he can TK out a running shot / charge figure within range of Superman to knock him off that HSS.
I like clix that have stealth and flight. Add on the mastermind and now you can carry around your human shield. He will be hard to take down. TK and a very good 2nd attacker.

universal church of truth teams are looking nasty, have good synergy, and staying alive is what this guy can DO <3 charge steal energy outwit! Also the numbers seem fair for 165pts

He is not comic accurate but what a great dial! Power cosmic + Stealth + Mastermind. What a combo of powers. The only things I don't like are his mid-low attack values and that he should have Outwit at the start.

This dial is amazing. this character is practically immortal. mastermind, steal energy, regen, and the ability to swich back and forth from adam warlock make this figure a tacticians dream. And that's just the defensive appeal. i will definitely have to try him with the other UCT figures.

I think he looks like a lot of fun. I can't imagine why he only has 3 stars.

Just cleaned house today. 5 straight games, Magus and Raker, along with some help from Charlie-27, took on all comers and shredded three separate Thani. (Multiple Thanos figs, who cares?) Magus was the star of the show, providing Leadership for Raker to attack every turn and Exploiting for damage that would stick. Magus would not go down. Even when Raker and Charlie were slain, Magus went on to take out Drax and Doom, single handedly, and win me the Gardener. The sculpt is good, the dial is quite playable, and he's not all powerful, but it feels like when he's still fighting Adam for control, not able to tap into his full power. It also helps to explain the trait. At any rate, this Magus is one tough nut to crack. Top marks,
Cool dial, but will rehead and repaint mine......
Really should be better for the points. Values a bit too low and not enough attack. Probably better in non-CoUT teams as he is your biggest piece and no one really has move and attack. The TK and Leadership is really nice, but he is just really lacking. Maybe better if you get to use the character swap power, but I didn't.
Played this guy with one Raker and 3 UCTs and went 3-0 Adam Warlock never saw the board and he didnt even get touched....Awesome piece
daponteclix: BECAUSE, the only figs people like these days are figures that take ZERO skill or finesse to use.
