[Quarantine]

A friend and I were talking a we both thought it would be cool if somewhere along the way, a Forge figure was made. Gambit and the White Queen both add Perplex and Outwit to the X-Men, but how cool would a guy with both abilities be? In terms of stats, I'd think that Forge would be similar to Black Panther, but his abilities would be what set him apart. Try this for a possible Vet form:
Speed: 8 7 6 6 5 5
Attack: 9 8 8 7 6 5
Defense: 15 15 14 14 13 12
Damage: 2 2 2 2 1 1
Range: 8 (one target)

Powers: Energy Explosion (1st click only) then Incapacitate (for next 3 clicks) on Attack, ESD (first 3) then Willpower (on 4th and 5th) on Defense, and Perplex and Outwit on Damage (first 3 Perplex, last 3 Outwit). X-Men team ability.

Okay, now tell me what you all think.

I thought about that, but Enhance doesn't let Forge make himself stronger; it just works on teammates' ranged attacks. Perplex shows his ability to improvise in the middle of combat situations. Forge has fought people like Sabretooth, Trevor Fitzroy, Wolverine, Rogue, and Psylocke using his own ability to think around them. I didn't think Enhancement necessarily fit.
Plus, the Enhancement power implies a sort of coordination between characters (think Psylocke and the SHIELD team power).

his rookie version could have
first 2 Enhancement
last 2 perplex

I would say 2 first click perplexe and the rest outwit since he's such a smarty and who sees him as a Unique except me?

Unique status could work, since he's not changed too much over the past two decades (almost) he's been around.

My Forge had some steal energy to simulate his device which robbed Storm of her powers. Depending on where in his career you pull him from there's some potential for magical abilities too.

Steal Energy? That's like a vampire/parasite sort of power (one person feeding off another's power). What Forge did to Storm with the neutralizer gun was totally Outwit.

Anyone think the "9" attack is too high? I'd start with an 8. Using Perplex (to represent the laser sight of a cool home-made weapon) could add that 1 to get a 9, but without any gadgets I wouldn't think his attack rating would be that high.

Actually, I'd _really_ suggest a 7 to start, but I'd get booed out of the forum on the my first day ;-) (I love Forge, BTW)

nah 9 he's pretty strong with his guns sorta like Cable but alot smarter hey will they ever launch cable as a unique?

Here's the powers I think Forge should have:

Speed: None
Attack: Energy Explosion, Incapacitate
Defense: Energy Shield/Deflection
Damage: Outwit, Perplex

The reason why I wouldn't give him Enhancement is from what I can tell (and I could be wrong, but I don't think I am) Forge uses the weapons he makes. He doesn't really make the weapon in the middle of combat and throw it to an ally to use.

no, but hasn't he suped up stuff for allies before the fight? I don't know much about forge though, but from what I do know I'd do outwit way over perplex, what does he do that's perplexing?
