Why is it that when a new set comes out one or two teams get hosed. This set it is the skrulls, the sinister syndicate, and the fantastic four.
My problem with this is that there are thousands of characters, is it realy that hard to give each team one figure in each set? I know Xplosion was about the X-men but they have crossed over with the other books. It is easy to find someone who has fought them that is usualy in another book.
It just seems that players of one team or another get the shaft in each set when realy they shoulcn't

Not only that, but a perfectly good candidate for the Syndicate was overlooked in Scorpion. Old Mac should have been given a SS AND a MOE version.
As far as the Skrulls go...who cares
As far as F4 go...who would you put in the team?
Lyja?, Crystal?, She-Thing???
I am MUCH more concerned about the MoE who haven't even gotten Baron Zemo yet (unless you count his little face on the dials)!!! Where's the Wrecking Crew, Tigershark, Goliath, Beetle, The Absorbing Man, the list goes on and on...
BTW, the Avengers only got a single fig in Xplosion.

They could make sure there are figures for each team in each set. Wouldn't be that hard. There are only 12 team abilities and 40 different characters per set, not to mention characters who have different team affiliations in different versions. Honestly though, it doesn't bother me that much. As long as it all goes around in the long run, and a team's already got a good base. There's only 1 Avenger in Xplosion? No big deal. They've gotten plenty in previous sets.
What bugs me is teams like Defenders. They're still lagging with only 4 members, and those members in only one of their versions. Hopefully next set we'll see some more members for that team. Namor would be perfect in one of his versions (probably Experienced - it's like a prerequisite, you must be Exerienced to be a Defender) but they've got a good backbone roster that could have Defender affiliation in all their versions: Valkyrie, Hellcat, Nighthawk, Gargoyle, Daimon Hellstrom. These are the folks I think of when I hear Defenders. Didn't mean to go off on a Defenders thing. It could be worse. DC's still got three teams with no members at all. It's the Groucho Syndrome. Hopefully Cosmic Justice should fix all that.

There's several Fantastic Four members that could have made it into the set - Power Man (Luke Cage) is probably the biggest, though Ant-Man II would be another possibility, Crystal (as was mentioned), or an ally (such as Silver Surfer) that was never formally a member but was close enough to the team to be included.
Another possibility, of course, would have been a new version of Thing, Doom, etc. with the affiliation.
I would have preferred a new Skrull to the sixth and seventh SHIELD guys (though I'd prefer a Kree to the Skrull), and several people in the set - especially Scorpion and Green Goblin - easily could have been sinister syndicate.

Power Pack could all be contained in one expansion (not that I'm condoning that be done, mind you :) )

Black Bolt, Gorgon, Karnak & the other Inhumans could be considered "Fantastic Four"...they're more allies than members, but they would be nice addittions...especially Black Bolt who I REALLY want to see made...along w/ Adam Warlock, but I digress.

That's not a bad idea. Since we've been told time and again that there will be no more team abilities in any near future set, the Inhumans won't get an ability of their own :(
It would make sense to group them with the FF. They've worked more closely with them in their history than any other group. And I'd like to see Black Bolt too, only I fear they won't be able to do him justice - at least not until they decide thet Pulse Wave can do more than 1 point of damage.

In addition, the Fantastic Four ability represents a sort of "Family"... when one of their members goes down, they get angry and fight harder (heal a click)... this would work for the "Family" of Inhumans, as well.

The same could be said of Power Pack, but I'm not saying it.
