Does anyone suppose that the new batman will actually be azreal. After all he was batman for about a year. Since we all know that there will be a batman in every set, wouldn't make since that one of them be a "knightsqueast" batman.

Batman is DC's biggest selling character. And Superman's a close second. They cannot possibly put out a Heroclix set without including both of them. And as we just saw with the X-Plosion Spiderman and Daredevil, Wizkids does not feel obligated to give you a new costume version.

They could do a Kelly Jones version of Batman - all black, long claw-like nails...

didn't azreal's book get up to ish 90? that's a pretty good run for any second string character. far from tanking. and he was a major part of one of the best batman storylines ever....the whole knighquest thing.

i think they could do him. but if i had to bet money on the version they come out with, i'd guess it was the kingdom come version (based on how the new action figures are comign out soon).

If any, batman beyond would be one of the best choices for a different version of batman. Least, I think so. :)

You know as a joke it would be funny for Adam West Batman to be a unique. His whole dial has outwit, to represent all the random sprays he used to overcome everything (Shark repellant spray, Clown Spasming Spray, etc)

as far as the same characters in the sets.

I've heard that that was the ONLY WAY the comanies would sign. EVERY marvel set gets a new electra, wolverine, and spidey EVERY DC set gets a new Superman, batman, and i heard Harley quinn?

again I'm not "in the know" but when they first started doing expansions, i heard that every set would have a number of icon poularity characters, in every set to draw the collectors.

While it looks like Batgirl/Cassie is the next Bat-figure, there are still a whole mess of Batman figures that I'd love to see as clix:

Golden Age Batman (#### Sprang style!)
Silver Age Batman (like the DCD two pack)
Detective 27 Bat-Man
Dark Knight Returns anti-superman armor
Kingdom Come Batman
Red Rain Bat-vampire
Az-Bats (please no red costume!)
Batman 1 million

That should last 'em a few expansion sets...

Obviously, you are in the minority. Not only did Azrael have enough appeal to get his own series, but it lasted for 100 issues. That is a longer run that most books have seen in the industry. A very small percentage of books ever make it to #100, so I guess in your opinion all of those characters would be lame too.

Fortunately for Batman fans there are many versions of him that can be made. I'd prefer a variation of the modern Bruce Wayne Batman (the uber-bat, tilt him one way or the other towards melee or range, or even his current Vet version but with much less Leadership). Others have suggested Batman Beyond, Azrael, or Batman 1,000,000 (any of which would be fine with me but I'd rather see a new current Batman first).

Though I still feel many of the Marvel clix are overpowered, I do really like what they've done recently with various versions of a character within it's own R/E/V (most recently Storm, Taskmaster, etc. and Invis Girl/Woman and Emma Frost before that). Once (or even some while) they release many of the missing characters from DC clix it's obvious WizKids has MANY variations of current figures they could release (and even if only to correct/tweak some of their oversights along the way. Like Superman (who's still fairly solid as is)).

Hey, along those lines, why not a new R/E/V of Bats (new sculpt of course) that has three different types (situational abilities) of figs in it? R-CCE, E-Range(Inc, EE), and V-Leader(Smoke, Running Shot, Leadership click or two, etc). All priced accordingly of course and each with at least sprinkle of the standard Bats skills (Outwit, Inc, Bat Team).

In addition to further proving I'm insane, my ramblings also present another reason why there are still so many clix left to release.

What about a Bruce Wayne figure, ala the Logan figure idea. Bruce Wayne would be the ultimate general type figure. Leadership, Outwit, Willpower, Flurry, Incapacitate, Leap/Climb, and 2 targets as well as Batman team ability. He could essentially incapacitate half of someone's army.

Bruce Wayne is one smart & tough dude. . .

the unique batman is definitely vampire batman, #95. I've seen it on ebay all ready for around 20-25 bucks.

Batman with blades/claws/fangs, that's f'ed up.
