View Full Version : Next Marvel BigFig
Alright, Marvel gave us Sentinel, DC gave us Sinestro, so who's next for Marvel? I have two ideas.
1. Savage Hulk.
Who hasn't fought him? He'd be shorter than Sentinel, but he'd be so ####ed wide he'd overhang in all directions. And like Hulk, se'd be a rage character. And to those who say he isn't that good, read the first collection for The Ultimates, specifically, "Hulk Does Manhattan" and get back to me.
OR
2. Blackheart.
The Prince of the Underworld himself! He'd hav all kinds of weirdness, Incapacitate, Poison, Mastermind, RCE, you name it! And he'd look cool. The only problem is, we need Ghost Rider to be an Arch-Rival.
What do you think?

Galactus, or perhaps Onslaught.....but those would probably skew the game far too much if they were acurate.
Savage Hulk as in the REEEEEEAAAAAAL big psycho one, as in when he goes out of control and needs to be taken down. He's not specific, he just happens when Bruce gets massively angry.

Galactus, way to powerful and is already been said wont be made, for now.
Onslaught, I really hope he not made. I want something thats I am gonna want.
You know who would be perfect as a Big Fig.
Living Monolith, He is almost perfect for a big fig.

How about Antman/Giant Man, then wed have all of the founding members of the Avengers. My vote would also be for Onslaught with openable chest plate with a Prof X fig in and a back bubble with Franklin and X man.
Antman/Giant Man. I must confess, I never thought of that. Probably because I'm not a big Avengers fan, and Giant Man in the Ultimates has serious mental issues.
Onslaught, alright...he would look AWESOME!!!!!!! But how in smeg's name are they going to come up with a statline for him?! To do him any justice his scale would have to be 500, 400, 300 rather than the usual 100-300. But he would look cool.
Me, I'm sticking ot my ideas in the first post, but add Giantman to that, purely because I giant good guy would be a change.

I actually think it would be really cool to do a bigfig as a 300/400/500 point character.
Come on, the sentinel dial has room for 25 clix of stats, lets' use 'em!

I'd want to see an Onslaught. The only trick to balancing him would be to have only one version, before he absorbs Franklin and X-man. That way he isn't stupid powerful. That and if he was 400 or so points and he could team with the Sentinels than the overall points of any team he went up against would also be very high and would probably lead to some amazing battles.
Failing that than I'd want to see either Galactus or Fin Fang Foom.

You could use Red Ronin
he was created to fight the Avengers
When the Shogun Warriors were big in the US
Man did I just show my true age (Yikes)

Giant-Man's my guess
I wouldn't mind seeing Ghost Rider released on a peanut-shaped base on a blister pack, actually.
You KNOW they'd sell a ZILLION of them...

I'd like to see a Thanos big fig.
But I might be alone on this, because there already is a Thanos.:disappoin

Onslaught would fit the role perfectly. he can essentially "capture" people by absorbing them, can't he? And I want a bigfig as someone who I can have all my heroes gang up on in a scenario, really, not someone I can sport on a team.
Heroclix?

Who I want to see as a big fig-->
Galactus--> probably not, but they could do him like the MK titans, three seperate point values between 200-400 or 300-500
Ego--> again, probably not, or perhaps similar in function to the dropships from MW
Mole Man--> who? but this guy was given as an option back in an Inquest a couple of months ago
Onslaught--> he would be cool! maybe give him a unique power where he "absorbs" (copies) one of his prisoner's special powers
Apocalypse--> should have done this guy as a big fig instead of the ####py unique he is. Then his powers could have been more acurately represented.

I think they should do Giantman/Goliath. They could ake a regular sized unique of him with only Outwit as a power and weak stats. Then as an action you could replace him with the big fig with Superstrength and Toughness and all the big fig abilities(like Sentinel) but give him the restriction that is movement is 2 indoors.
Howzat?
Storm Shadow

I'm not so sure they are going to do another big fig. Clobberin' Time came and went without a big fig being released. I think that maybe the big figs were only made to coincide with the release of the base sets, Infinity Challenge and Hypertime.
I hope I am wrong though!
As for my picks. The monster from the cover of Fantastic Four #1 would have been perfect for Clobberin' Time. Similar to Sinestro, you could have had a regular sized Mole Man on the base with the figure, between the monsters' legs perhaps.
Other picks:
Surtur (Thor enemy)
Stilt-Man
Giant-Man
Mephisto

I have one that many probably would not think of, but would make a suitable bigfig, considering the dimensions we're talking about---Phalanx. The collective was never really confined to size, except when it wanted to be. Would make for some interesting stats too. I think the phalanx has been gone far too long in the marvel universe in my oppinion(my last known reading it was 1997-98 and the end of the 2099 line when it flooded the planet and nearly conquered earth).
Other oppinions, Watcher(not a clue how they'd make the stats, but it would be an interesting fig).
Modok
Post
Holocaust
Mastermold(a man can dream. seriously though, he'd have to take up at least a 30 x30 grid, the sentinels did pop out of his chest for crying out loud.)

Talk about showing my age...
Red Ronin was not created to fight the Avengers. He originally appeared in Marvel's Godzilla series, where he became linked with a Japanese kid and fought both with and against Godzilla...

1. Arcade. He would be like sinestro and be in some giant clown robot or something.
2. Fin Fang Foom would make a cool big fig.
3. Mysterio as some giant hologram, colud be neat.

The most likely bet is Giant-Man, and here's why. A Giant-Man figure can be made into more than one character. The Dragon figures from MageKnight are all built with sections that can be interchangeable. They're all pretty much the same basic figure with different heads, and once there was a different tail as well. The same could be done in this case. One basic body. A space left open on the waist for an alternating belt design. Open space on the chest for an alternate chest emblem if necessary. Changing a head is easy as well. Everything else is just paintjob! This would give us Giant-Man, Goliath, Titan, Atlas, and anyone I might be forgeting. These characters aren't likely to sell multiples the way the Sentinels were, so their versatility as different characters to be sold will make up for lack of multiple sales.

Howabout the new villian, from the "The End" comic.
the dreadnauts. would be most likly. Dragon man or fim fang foom are possible.
but no-one seems to have remeberd red ronin
or a really big juggernaut

The villian from "The End" would be way to powerful, I mean he killed all the Avengers and all the X-men before the first issue even ended.

Mole Man would make an awesome big fig. There'd be the Mole Man, and right next to him is a huge subterrainian monster and a few little yellow mole men with blasters. It would have flurry, pulse wave, invulnerability and ranged combat expert., with b/c/f and toughness later on.

Along the lines of Red Ronin, how about Devil Dinosaur?
Fin-Fang-Foom would be cool, as well as any of the 'size changers' like Goliath, Giantman etc.
PaladinKWA
04/07/2003, 15:09
Giant Man would be neat with different Team affiliations at each different click
(100=Avengers, 200=Masters of Evil, 300=Avengers)
Or Mephisto. Big Evil and lots of powers.
Or Magnus. Warlock's Dad from the New Mutants. He was big, mean, and a lot of trouble.

I agree with the posts (way beck to DarkMalakim in post #6) stating that Giant Man should be next.
The fig doesn't have to be much more than 3X the size of a regular fig - certainly not as large as a Sentinel.
Perhaps the dial could have two or three different selections based on which size (or team as PaladinKWA says above) you choose for G-Man:
The taller he gets, the higher speed and better defense but since he got weaker as he got taller, he'd have a lower attack value.
At 12' he'd be really strong but with weaker defense.
Just a thought . . .

Actually, I'd like a bigfig for the African-American version of Goliath from the 1970's. He was a Defender for a short time, and the Heroclix Defender team needs some rounding out.
(For that matter, I'd like to see Defender team versions of Namor the Sub-Mariner, Silver Surfer, and Gargoyle.)
