Hi! :)
Working on a new Robot Theme Team, and looking for some opinions/advice. How does this look, as it currently stands?
SM102 Manhunter Grandmaster - 172 pts.
SM034 Cyborg Superman - 140 pts.
GSX006 Skullbuster - 84 pts.
SM100 Superman Robot - 75 pts.
AA033 Thinker - 55 pts.
SI107 Doombot 5953 - 40 pts.
SI106 Doombot 3095 - 30 pts.
CAS101 Scorpio Key - 4 pts.
So, with this team, I have...1 standard Outwit, and 4 (5 maybe) Superman Enemy Team Abilities floating around the board. This, to me, equals a lot of Outwit on my force.
Move and Attack powers are plentiful - Skullbuster, Superman Robot, Cyborg Superman, and, of course, Manhunter Grandmaster all have some form of Move and Attack.
I have Penetrating damage from Skullbuster.
5 of my 7 characters are Indomitable or have Willpower to keep the pain coming.
So, thoughts?
I refuse to use M-11. Anything else is fair game.

TRU Sentinels at the lower point levels are the way to go for Robot teams. They bring upfront outwit and penetrating psychic blast.

I heartily agree. I prefer the 150 pt Mark V Sentinel (G09) over the Mark II (G08) as it is a great tie up piece and has more clix to burn through. However if you're going for more of a straight up offense, the Mark II is great with his ability to do more damage. They're also great taxi's while using running shot in case you need a prob, outwit, or perplex nearby. On top of that, in a robot team they get an extra attack or action token added to an opposing piece for free after another robot hits.
This is a 600pt game? Cyborg Superman is awesome with those Superman Robots. I personally would use another Superman Robot instead of Skullbuster just to purposely push on that 4th click despite Indomitable and use the second action token next turn to regen. That regen can turn the tide. That and with Cyborg Superman, it's just a an additional outwit that Skullbuster can't provide.
Can you tell I really like the robot keyword too? :devious:
Honestly, I think you got a pretty good round up as it is. At this point it's not so much improvement as it is changing your style of tactics.
EDIT: Omg, didn't even see who the OP was until just now. Hi! :D

While I agree that TRU Sentinels are amazing, It's kind of hard to fit them in on a 600 point team when you're trying to get the Theme Team bonus. I need a minimum of 6 characters to do that. It can't be done without trading in Cyborg (which, if I do that I lose Superman Enemy) or Grandmaster (who's a keystone piece to this team).
I like Skullbuster because then I have at least 1 character who's starting with Penetrating/Psychic Blast. I thought about finding room for Eradicator by removing Skullbuster and Thinker, but then I'm completely dependent on Superman Enemy for my Outwit, and I've traded 2 characters for one, and Skullbuster is Indomitable while Eradicator is not. Eradicator, however, does have the Superman Team Ability, which my Wildcards and Robot could take advantage of if I'm up against stealth (currently a perceivable weakness for the team...). Hrm...

At 135, Eradicator is pretty nice. Shape Change + Super Senses is not too bad of an alternative to Cyborg's Impervious. But yes, Stealth is going to be the biggest nuisance, especially since a lot of players favor Stealth + Outwit on the same click.
I really can't say which is better because if you switch out Cyborg for Eradicator you lose some Outwits, but can toast Stealth characters with those same characters. If you know your opponent's preference and if they favor Stealth, I say go with Eradicator.

It could be:
Manhunter Grandmaster - 172
Cyborg Superman - 140
Eradicator - 135
Superman Robot - 75
Doombot 5953 - 40
Doombot 3095 - 30
Crimson Gem - 5
= 597
That gives the opening-dial Penetrating/Psychic Blast, and it gives my Wildcards more to work with. Then I have Superman Enemy and Superman Ally, so I can bust some stealth. I lose the Thinker, which I liked for having Outwit, but the team might do with just the Superman Enemy triggering.
Thoughts?

How about this team:
SM102 Manhunter Grandmaster - 172 pts.
SM034 Cyborg Superman - 140 pts.
GSX006 Skullbuster - 84 pts.
SM100 Superman Robot - 75 pts.
CA203B SHIELD Field Agent 25pts
GSX TRU Mark II B 100pts
CAS101 Scorpio Key - 4 pts.
This gives you another outwit and penetrating psychic blast. It also allows you to have the SHIELD agent bump up the range of one or more characters and the damage of one character. I think this team would work a little better then you first team.

This is superb. At first I was thinking get rid of Cyborg Supes and replace with Eradicator, then I tried looking for a cheap modern Superman Enemy piece to replace the Thinker but there was none 60 or under, not even under 100 really.
But this, you’ve covered all your vital weak points and anyone you face will have a very difficult time trying to hammer down either Eradicator or Cyborg Superman with Wildcards doing Outwit and shooting down Stealthers. Personally I’d be sweating bullets going up against a team like this. Nicely done, Sker approves. :D

What are the figures that are detrimental to robot/armor keyword figures? I was thinking Tony Stark gives opposing robot/armor -1 to attack. Any other figures like this to defeat robot/armor figures?
Marquee vision has + 2 defense against them. I can't think of the other ones off the top of my head. I think there are only a handful

I like this team a lot, although I'm not a fan of robots. I think it should do well, considering all the stealth busting going on.

Get M-11 on that team!
