:star: INTER-DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL Give Magik a Move Action or a Double Power Action. Place Magik and up to 2 plus her click number of adjacent friendly characters in any square they could legally ocuppy within the range of her speed value. Characters placed through INTER-DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL cannot be given actions other than free actions. If a Double Power Action was given to Magik; she can make a close combat attack as a free action.
:a-fist: SOULSWORD When Magik makes a successful close combat attack, you may roll a d6. You may replace her damage value with either that result or half of that number, then her damage value becomes locked. If you choose to replace her damage value with the halved result Magik deals penetrating damage.
:a-fist: Blades/Fangs/Claws
:d-normal: ELDRITCH ARMLET (Toughness)
:d-normal: ELDRITCH COATING (Invulnerability)

I like this, and she certainly needs to get redone (the existing dials we have for Magik are atrocious!).

Just two things:

1) Why not just simplify the Trait and give her the double power action and let her carry a set number of figures, say, six?

2) The text on her sp needs to be cleaned up. Here is one way to go with it...

Mostly it's good to leave the decisions in the hands of players, not the figures. I tried that once. Took about three hours for Booster Gold to decide to move. Of course, that might have been me hitting him with my elbow when I dozed off.

Thank you for the correction, wording helping is always welcome since english isn't my native language. I will edit it in a few.

About the trait. There's an option there, Power or Double Power. The only diference is she being able to attack or not. I will prolly need to rephrase it too so it states the placed friendly figures can't act after being placed.

The growing quantity of the figures she can bring with her is a meta game effect to nerf her first click, since place a whole team of 7 (she+6, as sugested) anywhere in the map a "game breaker thing" in my opinion, that being said, I was not willing to limit it with a few figures during the whole game, that would be comic un-accurate.

So we say she is controling her powers better as battle and pratice pass and avoid a game breaker effect.

More thoughs?

I like everything except the trait

My problem with it is this:
1) i like the idea of using click number as a value but i think you put it to the wronf thing. She should have been able to bring 3 guys and the number of spaces she can go should have been based on click number

2) additionally, moving anywhwere on the board a) spits in the face of characters that are a lot faster b) makes her phasing obsolete c) the attack part kinda lessens the emphasise on Transporter

3) the trait is too strong

It seems strange to have phasing/teleport AND transporter AND the trait. Very much overkill.

I like the dial though in general, really enjoy the inverted armour progression (Toughness to Imperv rather than the other way round).

About the SOULSWORD, is wording diferently from the B/F/C so she can use as part of her move/attack ability given by the transporter or the Trait power.

She's one of the best teleporter (as Dr. Strange said, the most powerful one). This version is kinda based on her ongoing power displays on Cyke's extinction team, she's supposed to be a top mutant, that's why she is point-costy for only a few clicks of life and low values.

I really like the idea as far the game goes and damaged she is more people she can transport. If its too game break as "anywhere in the map" i can limit it by her speed value, but 5-11 isnt too limited. So would be 13-8, and as closer she goes, more people she can bring (as per dial click number)

how about that?

Thanks. That's because even if she can't use one the powers (can't be given move action - phasing) (or can't be given power actons - trait) by leech, leland, star boy and stuff. she can use the other. Because she is one of the most powerful teleporter in the whole marvel universe is kinda hard to contain her.

The armor is done reverse cause usually is how goes for her. The Eldritch armor is on her arm usually and as she goes combating it goes covering her body and on hard battles becomes the full-body armor which gives her defensive powers similar to her brother.

I built a Magik dial a while back that was somewhat similar but priced her. At about 120. That version had range, though.

I had an idea for the soulsword as a detachable or special/immobile object recently. Something like:

Soulsword
5 pts
Give a character occupying this square a power action to roll a D6. On a result of 6 modify the character's damage value by +1 and this character can use blades/claws/fangs and can choose to use Battle Fury. Damage dealt by this character is penetrating if the target possesses the Mystical or Deity keyword. This character ignores damage from the Mystics team ability.

That's a pretty good dial. I'm surprised that you gave her both her trait AND Phasing on the dial. You could remove Phasing altogether to help lower the cost since she'd already have a dial full of her INTER-DIMENSIONAL TRAVEL ability.

UniqueLoginNamor's fix actually helps. If only to balance it out a bit. Either way nice work. :grin:

As i stated it was on purpose to avoid opposing figures to get around her powers. But since that's being pointed out by more peoples i have to reason that it might not worth. So i will work out a rewording on her trait to get it harder to be got around, and limit the "anywhere on the map" according her speed value. But it would get her point cost lower, right?.

Thank y'all for the comments, reflecting on those i made those changes:

Changed done on the wording of her trait:
- Limited range. Up to her speed value rather than "anywhere on the map."
- Changed action required: From Power Action or Double Power Action to Move Action or Double Power Action.
Removed Transporter Ability and Phasing completely.
Increased her movement by one during her dial (from 13-8 to 14-9)
Lowered her cost from 97 to 85.

Thoughs?

P.S.: Zarg feel free to help me by wording correctly her trait (without changing it's mechanics)

I thought about make her to become a detachable object when she is KO'd, I really did. But it would result in a second trait, and get the figure with a higher point cost so i let the idea die.
