DEADPOOL MAX 2 #5
UNCANNY X-FORCE #22 if they fix the artwork
VENOM #13.3
WOLVERINE AND X-MEN #6
X-MEN #25
X-MEN LEGACY #262

Ended up only picking up X-Men Legacy, X-men 25, and Wolvie's x-men.

X-men legacy was enjoyable, even if the fight between Rogue and Logan seemed a little forced for the sake of the story. Good artwork as usual.

I havnt read X-Men 25 yet, but flipping through I saw some cleavage shots of Domino which automatically makes this the best comic of the 3 :p

And finally, Wolverine and the X-men continues to be my favorite comic. Outstanding artwork, super enjoyable stories being stold simultaniously. Is it wrong of me to find "pregnant" kitty pryde attractive? hah. love lovve love the casino heist with logan and kid omega. The writing is perfect and the character development is balanced so well with plot and action. A+ for this series so far!

I read the current issue of Ghost Rider and I have to ask, when did the Ultimate version of Hawkeye enter the regular Marvel Universe ???
Either that, or the 616 version has poor choice in duds.
Again.
Like his brown duds from way-back when.

And it looks like Daredevil gave him a haircut.

I think they're trying to make him closer to his look in the Avengers movie so that people can see him on covers and jump on the bandwagon or whatever. Don't expect it to be permanent

Fantastic Four, as always, was friggin' great. That series never fails to make me remember how much I love superhero comics.

I thought the movie was more or less based on the Ultimate universe's history ???
Still, it's a bad look. I felt the same with his deerskin suit of old.

Can we all agree that Hickman loves this family?

And Kitson... my goodness.

Susan Richards: I don't even have words.

Yeah... this issue lived up to the banner on the cover.

All I picked up were Batman #6 (from last week), Aquaman #6 and Superman #6.

Batman was really, really good. I am loving the Court of the Owls as well as Batman's dementia being portrayed in the art. I wonder what that place really looks like.

Aquaman barely appeared in his own comic this month, but the Mera story was great. I actually got a little misty at the end. I know the superhuman/alien "fish out of water" (I know, groan) story has been done before, but this is a terrific example of it.

Superman is just not that good. I think I'm dropping it.

My top three and some other comments:

1. Wolverine and the X-Men #6
"Bah! Running is for horses and homo sapiens!"

Madcap crazy comic book fun at its finest and most gorgreous. Wolverine and Quentin Quire go to pull a casino job at an intergalactic casino. What could go wrong? Assuming something does, its not as if the Jean Grey school is actually facing alien invasions, both external and deeply internal. Or are they?

2. Avengers Academy #26
"I reject anything that says I can't see my friends because we don't think exactly the same way."

That isn't his quote, but Hank Pym gives a fireworks-worthy speech in this issue that was a pretty huge highlight for me.

3. Prophet #22
"You throw like no necks and outsanders."

Have these guys created a subgenre of science fiction, wholly dependent upon grotesque body fluids and other uncomfortable body issues? If so, I'm a fan.

Thoughts on other comics this week:
- Justice League Dark #6. Six issues in and this is all we have? I have been in denial. I now realize that this isn't the quality comic I wished/thought it was. This comic sucks. I can't say I am sad to see it getting a new writer.
- I, Vampire #6 - This is why you don't run with rookie vampire hunters when looking to take down the Queen of Vampires. Good comic. They've earned my interest in their "Rise of the Vampires" crossover, even if the companion title hasn't.
- The Bulletproof Coffin: Disinterred #2 - good comic. It reads as a lost issue of the fictional series Tales from the Haunted Jazz Club. Three weird stories emerge, all drawn by Shaky Kane, whose art I have come to appreciate. I see why the UK loves this guy.
- Dark Horse Presents #9 - There's hardly a weak point in this anthology anymore now that the Neal Adams story is done. Skultar, Lobster Johnson, Rich Johnston, Paul Pope, and Richard Corben all deliver great stuff.
- All Star Western #6 - Solid, weird action brings the Gotham City chapter to its close, lighting the way for the next, connected arc and its associated guest stars. The back-up story featuring the Barbary Ghost also comes to a satisfying conclusion. I hope to see more of her (she'd make an awesome clix).
- Aquaman #6 - Decent Mera story, but if you're not already obsessed with her, it might feel a bit dull compared to previous issues. If you are really into her, you'll probably dig this more than I did.
- Flash #6 - More rebuilding of the Flash universe done quite effectively. I came into this hating the new costume change for Len Snart and nearly forgot about it because this comic is so good. I'm kicking myself for not falling in love with this comic from the get-go.

Aquaman is the best this week. Hands down. I now officially love Mera.

1. Aquaman
2. Justice League Dark
3. I-Vampire

Teen Titans are okay at best. Voodoo is good but this week it just was not as good as the top three. I am not even going to look at New Guardians anymore. I will browse through Teen Titans next month to see if it gets any better. If not, I am just going to focus on Aquaman, Justice League Dark, I-Vampire, and Voodoo from now on for the last week in the month.

I've read every issue of I-Vampire, but I feel a little lost. I am thinking this comic is much better in a trade. When it is released it is one of the first ones I am picking up.

So far the JL:Dark/I-Vampire tie in has me really excited. The storyline works for both books. I am a little sad that something I did not see happening had to occur for this tie in to commence but hopefully it all works out. I just hope that I-Vampire can continue after this.

I always thoght that seeing Galactus fight a Celestial would be fun.
Seeing him fight several of them who then merged into one after Galactus killed one was fantastic.

Too bad the Watcher's, who are enemies of the Celestials, didn't get involved. And too bad no one seems to remember that Sue once took down a Celestial some years ago around the time everyone thought Reed was dead.
