For a long time the HCRealms community had been relying on andrewtarius' fantastic dial generator tool. Unfortunately that site was taken offline recently, and with it went the tool. But fear not! Today I am proud to announce the launch of HCRealms' own Dial Generator Tool (http://www.hcrealms.com/units/dialgen.php)! You can find the permanent link to this tool in the Units Section, and we look forward to expanding its capabiilties as we build out the CustomClix application. The tool isn't integrated into the forum permissions yet (ie. it doesn't know who you are, so it doesn't know you're a donor). I'll work on getting that fixed sometime this week; I need to get it integrated into the rest of the site anyway.

Seems to work quite well! I love the multiple traits option, though I am a bit disappointed is having to use the shift key for multiple TA's. (No shift key on iPad) Here is to hoping an app could be in the works! Either way, great work on this one.

A few years ago when Clix was on hiatus I painstakingly cut-copy-pasta'd all the pieces of a card for custom. If you want them I'll gladly send them so your BB/HTML wizards might be able to make something wonderful. Its all in Photoshop....7.0 I think

if you go over to the artisans guild you willd find templates for Dial Tops, Dial stats, and Cards.... but you will need an art program in order to use them. i.e. adobe illustrator. i passed out templates of the top and stats for years over there.

aduckwhat does print in the round dial format, the only catch I found was getting the size right. Trial & error, I now have a template saved (on word/paint) and apply to my new customs.

I like the ease of power color changes.

However the dial should output SPs with the Foot/Wing symbol.
And ideally you should have a bigger Edit box for the Game Text of the SP.

Honestly, it was quite a hassle to do them before, but this gives us a much more effective tool.

Alter Egos/Multiple Starting lines will still be an issue, but it's well worth it for the ease of making colossals!

Just tried to make a 26-click dial (24, plus two KO slots). Know what I realised would come in handy? Click numbers, like modern dials do.

I've also discovered the forum margins do NOT do dials of that length any favours.

I'm fond of the one in Open HC. It doesn't factor in SP's (that I'm aware of), but it could be the basis for something even more accurate. :ermm:

Either recreate the dial on aduckwhat's generator which allows you to switch to print view, or use a program like Photoshop to create your own. The templates are in the Creative Corner subforum.
