So I started one of these a while ago, but didn't get the figure in time to do battle with it last year. But that changes NOW. That's right, new year, new thread, new figure. Who is that figure? Well....

*BLAM*

The man himself, The Defender and Ruler of Kahndaq, That Mystical Marvel of Destruction, it'sssssssss BLACK ADAM! (lame i know :/)

So yeah, my favorite piece from Superman shall now hit the field every single opportunity I possibly can. Let my venue hate me, for I bring POWER!

I'll be playing him at various point levels, and I'll play him with the Gauntlet as many times as I can.

Hopefully I'll be as successful with Adam as Thug is with Bane and Batman, and CP is with DP :D

So Today was Adam's first official outing as part of the KO list. A little lackluster but I'll get there.

Only one other person showed up to the venue today so I played three rounds with him.

The first two rounds I used this team
Black Adam SM + 2 Gem Gauntlet
Wonder Woman SM
Total of 276 points.

First round I went up against:
Wonder Woman BN
Wonder Girl CR
Gotham Policeman HT
(We had to have at least one "wonderful" figure on our team to celebrate Wonder-Con)

I thought this first game was going to go decently well, but I rolled like crap. We played on Soul World and the only significant damage I did was Black Adam Quaked the PD guy off the elevated terrain for one kill, but my team got murdered by that Violet Lantern WW.

Round 1: Loss
Black Adam KOs: Gotham Policeman

1 Game 1 KO

Round 2 went better. I faced the following:
SI Power Pack (All 4)
SI Thing
Hulk Amadeus Cho

We played on the mountain map from HOT FF
I went first ran up to the mountain and stood still.
He charged thing up behind Black Adam and whiffed.
Black Adam pushed to smack Thing with the object almost killing him, but had to wait two turns to finish him off.
After that WW massacred all 4 of the Power Pack (She really doesn't like children) and Black Adam killed Amadeus in two shots.

Round 2: Win
Black Adam KOs: Amadeus Cho and Thing
1 Games 3 KOs

At this point my opponent challenged me to a match against his GSX Phoenix. I figured why not and switched up my team a bit. We played on the Supernova space map, and I switched to the following
200 pt Black Adam + 2 Gem Gauntlet
V Deathlok SN

I realized very early on that this matchup was going to be bad since She has HSS and I don't, but I did my best. Managed to get her down to her second or third Regen click, but she Regen's for 6, then 5, then 6 again, then 3, then made an imperv roll of 6 and ran away. I did get to the #3 power during the game, but once she hit me to the click after the 100 pt starting level I just conceded. I knew I wasn't going to win, because she would just hit and run me the rest of the game.

Hopefully it goes better next time!

EDIT: I realize now (the next day of course) that I had been playing the number 2 and number 3 powers incorrectly. Instead of choosing a standard power I was choosing a gem. So while on 3 I could have chosen Hypersonic to catch up with Phoenix and smash her to tiny little bits. Oh well...

Got a three round tournament coming up tomorrow night, will hopefully have results by wednesday afternoon :)

So today's game was an 800 point build for 5 actions and all your characters needed to have the same keyword and that keyword needed to be a team keyword. I decided to build Justice Society for two reasons.

1. They seem to be the better keyword at that point level
2. Didn't have any Society or Injustice Society pieces.

Here was my team
SM 100 pt Black Adam
CR Spectre
CR Liberty Belle
JL Black Canary
OR V Hawkman
LG V Mr. Terrific
Which comes out to 683...

Why 683 you ask? Because I'm an idiot and forgot to play my last piece which was OR V Wildcat. I got lazy before the tournament and didn't total up my team. Lesson learned, write down your team and make sure totals are correct.

EDIT: So again, the next morning I realize how much of an idiot I am. I wasn't supposed to be playing the V OR Wildcat, I was supposed to be playing BA at the 200 point level...


So with that...

Round 1
Played against an Avengers team which consisted of the following:
HU Red Hulk
CA Defender Cap
GSX Wolverine
HoT FF Thor
WoS Iron Man
WoS Spider-Man Crazy SS version

Played on the Gamma Test Range.

Red Hulk decided to plant himself in front of Black Adam and Spectre after I moved up everyone close to each other to get the 18 D from Libby and Jim. Spectre attacked with a Heavy, and then Black Adam KO'd with a Meteorite. Cap missed someone with the shield (I think it was Mr. T) and next turn ran to get his shield, after which Spectre and Black Adam pulverize him in that order. After that it pretty much fell apart for my opponent. He pushed Thor to death after getting hit for 6 between Libby and BA (Libby got the KO cause she hit him last :/) and Spectre pasted Wolverine in one shot. Iron Man ran away a bunch of times and time was called

Round 1: Win
Black Adam KOs: Red Hulk and Defenders Cap
4 Games, 5 KOs

Round 2 was against the Teen Titans
SM Supergirl
CR Speedy
AA Robin
75th Osiris, Superboy, Beast Boy, Bart Allen, and Donna Troy

This one sucked, stayed on the Gamma Test map

He moves to tower, I move 8 away from tower so he can't shoot me. He HSS's in with Super Girl and Osiris against BA, misses with Osiris, but hits BA with Supergirl for 4. BA Regened for 5-2=3 and Libby hit Osiris for 4 with the Meteor while Hawkman pasted Bart with a Heavy. The Titans manage to do some damage to Hawkman, Mr.T, and Libby before BA charges and kills Osiris. After that things fell apart for me. Speedy KO'd BA before I could regen again, and everyone else but Spectre gets KO'd before time is called.

Round 2: Loss
Black Adam KOs: Osiris
Black Adam KO'd
5 Games, 6 KOs

Round 3 was against another Avengers team, but this one was terrible
Team was:
SI Dr Strange, Sentry, Power Man + Iron Fist, Namor
CA Invisible Woman
AV Hawkeye

Essentially, The Avengers move forward, my JSA moves up, and all hell breaks loose. He hits 3 Crits killing Hawkman (who crit miss pushed the turn before), Mr T (Namor on shots him), and doing heavy damage to BA. BA hits Hawkeye with the Meteorite for 5 and Libby finished off Hawkeye. Spectre hits Namor once pretty hard and BA hits him a bit more. Namor finishes off Spectre, Sentry kills BA, and PM+IF hits Libby hard. Libby PWs for 1 killing Namor and injuring PW+IF and Black Canary, and the duo finishes Libby, and Strange kills Canary.

Round 3: Loss
Black Adam KOs: 0
Black Adam KO'd
6 Games, 6 KOs.

I rolled like crap game 3 and my opponent rolled extremely well, so good on him.

Next week is an AvX event, so I won't be able to play BA. Hopefully in two weeks tho. See you all then!

Was able to sneak in one game with Black Adam today (Played two games, but only one was using Adam) against one of the venue owners who hadn't played in a while.

Ran the following:
SM Black Adam 100
SM Starman 99
CR Liberty Belle 84
V LG Mr Terrific 80

We were both under, but only had a 1 point difference between us so we just decided to run what we had.

He ran the following

GSX Mystique
GSX Blob
GSX Rogue
GSX Pyro

Played on one of the helicarrier maps, he started near the two towers with crates on them and I started by the big 4x4 tower.

He ran Mystique and Pyro up to one of the towers and ran Blob and Rogue forward after I set up the my team 8 spaces from my starting zone.

Libby wiffed against Blob while the others cleared. Rogue tried to hit Mr T, but missed against an 18 D. BA charged forward and pulverised Rogue with a heavy, while Starman shot Blob who's defense was outwitted.

Mystique and Pyro took shots, missing Libby, but hitting Starman and Mr T with a double EE :(

BA pushed to charge and demolish Blob, who's defense was outwitted again, while Libby tried and failed to hit Pyro with HSS. Starman carried Mr T out of range of Pyro. Mystique shot and hit BA for 2.

Over the next few turns BA Charged up and hit Pyro for 3 while the rest sat back to support (I boxed Libby out by accident :/)

Pyro managed to poison BA and then hit him for 2, and Mystique tried, but failed to hit BA. Adam lightning regen'd for 5-2=3 and KO's Pyro to boot! Starman moved Mr. T up to the platform and Mystique cleared. BA and Starman cleared. Mystique rolled one last hit against BA before being pummeled by him and finished off by Starman.

Over all it was an interesting game. Outwit and Perplex help out BA a LOT, and Prob would help if I ever had it when I wiffed.

I think the next chance I get to play Black Adam, I'm going to run with a Society team and see how those fair in the game, unless I can pick up the few Injustice Society pieces I need.

Sadly nothing to report this past week, nor will there be a report for this coming up tuesday as the scenario doesn't allow characters with Special powers or Traits...

Come to think of it, probably won't get any reports for the next couple weeks considering there is a GG Floor after that, and my Space event after that :(

Maybe i'll try to get in an independent game with someone sometime soon.

I'm saddened that I haven't been able to play BA in a while. Hopefully I'll be able to play him next week. Doom on the other hand has just murdered everyone (well almost) he has come up against. Should have made a KO list for him lol.

Black Adam is sooo awesome. I am playing Namor for my KO list.
