View Full Version : Push to Regen, Ep. 3
Episode 3 of the Push to Regen podcast is up on our site!
This episode JCorduroy and I discuss the Galactic Guardians set, Avengers Movie, and Dark Knight Returns previews and spoiled dials. We also take a bit of time to discuss tournament etiquette and we respond to some listener emails. We take the $3 Theme Team in a bit more fun direction. And of course the Common Justice and Nate's Question of the Week segments are back. All this and more can be found at the following locations:
Our Site (http://pushtoregen.podbean.com)
and Stitcher (http://stitcher.com/listen.php?fid=21647)
Feel free to use this thread as a discussion forum for the topics we discussed in the show and as a place to suggest things we can do to make the show better. Hope you enjoy!
Listening now and I cannot agree more on mole man and have been thinking of teams to use with him...giganto is certainly one very good option!
Its not on itunes... :(
Ah, this happened last time too. It takes a little while to get on iTunes. It should show up soon.
And iTunes has updated. We hope you enjoy the episode.
Excellent! Downloading it now so I can listen to it over the weekend.
Movie Batman : Maybe they gave him Invuln because he fell off that building and was okay, but yeah its crazy.
Black Canary : Back when she came out she was deceptively fierce. For some reason by the time she got hit to her last click 17 Defense it was a problem because she probably punched somebody in the face for 3. Can't wait for a better version though.
Colson was pretty cool, then Hulk and Loki got revealed from that set ;)
Can't wait for Justice League as well : those previewed sculpts of Hawkman and Wonder Woman and Superman (maybe DC 10th anniversary) look cool.
FYI, TK places (not moves) now as well.
D'oh. I forgot that. Good call, dontcare.
Hi there, listeners! Just wanted to thank you guys for getting our total number of listens for Push to Regen over 1000. We hope that you like the show and your support has definitely kept us motivated. Thanks.
Whoo! Congrats on 1K listens!
An idea I was just thinking of-- and this might be too time intensive to do, so take it how you will-- but I think it would be really helpful to post a sort of "show notes" for each show, where you list both of your common justice pieces, your three dollar theme teams, etc.
I end up listening to your show while driving and often re-listen to the episodes so I can write down the various figures you guys mention and check them out.
Of course, that might ruin some of the fun of revealing them "on the air," though. Something to think about, at least.
Keep up the great work!
Keep up the good work. I really enjoy your enthusiasm and obvious love of the game.
Thank you guys, truly, for all the downloads, reviews, words of wisdom, advice, and criticisms - we're working our butts off to improve every episode to bring you the best show we possibly can. For us to be at 1000 listens after 4 episodes blows my tiny little reptile brain. You're all fantastic - we're already prepping the next episode, and will be recording within the next week!
Galactic Guardians is out! Push to Regen is psyched! We want to know what figures you're excited about as well as if you've played any of the pieces and how they performed.
I was super excited since I got my AVM stuff too!!! Lets just say I hate myself for play Galactus at 600, Heralding Captain Marvel, and using Major Glen Talbot, Agent Coulson, and Scorpio Key as my left over points for a 700 point team. As if Galactus wasn't good enough, I was attacking from 14 Range with 9 Damage when using Multi-Attack and had a suped up Captain Marvel wielding the Key as clean up...
Other than that, I played Cosmo, Gladiator, and Mole Man (for outwit) at 294 and did very well. My buddy told me to make a team, he had something special to play. I built this team and his team was 2 Gigantos, Mole Man, and 2 Astral Stranges. I chuckled since I could actually use my Mole Man for something! I actually got to MC a Giganto to attack the other Giganto, rolled a crit hit and a 6 on BCF with EW and KOed his Giganto...best attack ever! Gladiator rushed in and took the other Giganto down 4 clicks and it was mostly over...until his stupid Stranges kept Incaping me and giving me pushing damage. That made it a close game actually but I pulled out ahead only loosing Mole Man...to Giganto and Strange giving me pushing damage. Super fun set, glad I got some even after not being excited for it initially.
Hey guys - we're recording episode 4 tonight. Any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to let us know!
The episode was awesome - and not just because I got my email answered! I've got the AVM Gravity Feed and Starter Set now, and Thor has two good-looking sculpts. The dials are "decent," but I think I will default to FF Thor unless I'm running him with Avengers, in which case I'd probably go with AVM 201.
You guys are doing an AWESOME job! :)
Ok, so we started recording monday night and came to the sobering realization that we weren't really doing very well. Our prep wasn't complete, we weren't flowing like we normally do, something was off. We could have pushed through it and gotten an episode together but we wouldn't have been proud of it, so we stopped.
After we realized it wasn't happening, we did more prep, worked out some kinks and got our stuff together. We're going to try recording again tonight. We love this project too much to put out anything that we aren't excited to send out into the internet. We'll try to get you the next exciting episode as soon as possible.
Thanks for your patience, folks.
Looking forward to it!
Episode 4 is recorded! We got it done Wednesday and Jay is in the process of editing. Hope to get it to you guys soon. When it's ready, I'll close this thread and start a new one.
