Overall a great podcast, but I believe you guys gave the GF Silver Surfer a bad review. Yes, he is too many points to play on your standard 300 point team, but boosted up to the 500 point level and used as a secondary attack/support piece he is AMAZING. I used him to great effectiveness attacking my enemies until other options were needed then I hit a mystics to put him on his "don't eat the yellow snow clix" and he turned into a superstar defending, healing, phasing with carry, and even pulse wave came into effect. This is a great piece (in high point games) with and fantastic sculpt.

I understand where you are coming from and agree with you. It's a "Bias" thing I guess....I have never been able to get into the Surfer. (Rob pelt me know)

I agree. I won my first game with him on a 300pt Defenders team with the new Dr. Strange and Clea. Not the strongest team, but it was a fun team that worked well together.
I'm very happy in particular with the Surfer, Strange and Hulk as it's nice being able to fit these characters more easily on smaller point theme teams (though like most other fans, I'm still disappointed that at least one of the version of Hulk wasn't beefier).

On the downside, although the Surfer's sculpt looks sweet on first impression, the more you use him, the more he starts to look like he's holding cosmic pom-poms.

Re: Doom verses Batman. After Doom takes round 1, I see no reason why Batman couldn't go away and come back with Zatanna and Etrigan, plus either a Robin or a Batgirl. While Bats, Z and the Demon keep Doom busy/distracted, the sidekick goes and does whatever Bats told him/her to do to foil Doom's plan.

Agree....but I'm glad for the Cheap Hulk...easier to fit him on "bigger" Avenger teams now, where as before people wouldn't because he was a weak Tent Pole.

LOL...true, but perhaps Doom would return himself with the Infinity Gauntlet and wipe Batman and his team out with a mere thought...or better yet wipe the entire DC Universe out with the blink of a eye. LOL JK.

I haven't listened yet but I assume you guys are talking about how Wolvy and Spidey are in every comic? Lol. Not just that...every Clix set also. I love them both but there's too many characters left left out. We have room for unclixed characters now. Let's broaden!

Wow...great guess! Yup. We feel these characters are getting a little watered down and are just filler. I don't mind them in the sets (This appeals to new players if whichever set is out is "their first set"), but at the same time, if we keep getting them we won't be getting much diversity in them.

Started listening to these a month or two ago. Some good stuff.
RE: Gravity Feed - my only gripe is the low damage output. Namor drops to a 2 damage quickly. Surfer has a similar issue. Strange is pretty much only a support figure.
Super-Skrull requires Armor-Piercing to be anything near a threat. 1click of 3 damage and no ability to push is painful. Such a great set of SPs. The CCE "range" is neat, I just wish he didn't lose his range option when he gets it.
Doom and Drax were well conceived. Doom has higher stats and gets penetrating so he's a threat nearly his whole dial.
Drax has blades and EW so his low values aren't as horrid.
I hope GF in the future aren't so neutered as these.

I agree, but when you play with them "within" themselves I think they will play well. Pretty well balanced for the 10. Once you break them out and apply them to the rest of the sets they do seem underpowered. Again, wish Doom had mastermind.
Thanks, as always.
I wish Hulk would have been 3 points cheaper at 125 so that he could
have fit with Dr Strange at 75 and Namor at 100 to make a 300 point
Defenders Theme Team.
This team would have been great fun with Hulk and Namor having ESD.
And I think 125 would have been a great cost for Hulk.
Didn't WKids think of this? In only a ten figure Set?
Not too smart.
In my first Booster I would love to find :
( if Chases aren't included )
SR Thanos
R Adam Warlock
Un Dr Doom
Un Dr Strange
C Namor
And then my second can have:
SR Mr Fantastic
R Gamora
Un Ravenous
Un Mole Man
C Nebula
most of my favs right there.
