Coolest Xplosion Sculpt

Just curious what you players think deserves "BEST SCULPT" award out of the new Xplosion set.

Feel free to post your explanations/reasons - especially if you picked "Other".

I very much enjoy the sculpt of the new Hulk. I think it is the best sculpt, however the paint job on mine is horrible. Too much paint globbed onto the shirt and it looses all the detail.

Honorable mention to Sauron. He looks excellent too.

Likewise Green Goblin (though I do not read any Ultimate stuff, the sculpt and paint job on mine is very nice).

Gotta go with the Iceman.
1. Iceramp. slick use of an action pose we know and love

2. Transparent Blue. Since it looks like this transparency thing is going to continue to be around (Invisible Woman, Iceman, Green Lantern) It's a good fit for it.

3. Flier. Yes, we all can admit we've seen the Spiderfriends taxi service.

4. A NEW character. I swear, I'm sick to death of getting Electra, Daredevil, Spiderman, Wolverine, and Hulk. Yes, they are popular but I really don't need Spiderman with the paperbag on his head fig.

Savage Hulk all the way! He is freaking awesome! He seriously looks like he is the maddest beast in the world. I love the detail they put into his body and muscles.

Taskmaster is another great sculpt.

No love lost for the Hulk, his rating suffers from being preceded by some excellent sculpts of the same character. Same goes for Spidey, although the concept of the webline is great. Sauron looks just about perfect, but he doesn't really do it for me.

In the end, there are a lot of great sculpts in XP, but the Taskmaster stands out for me. The details of the hood pulled back, resting on his neck, the fairly intricate paint job, the cool looking skull mask, but the coolest thing is that sword, slicing down so far it almost touches the table despite the additional height of his base. Very cool. Add to that his playability, and I'd rank him as the best fig in the set, let alone his sculpt.

Tough call! These are some awsome sculpts! But, in the end, I just have to go with Iceman. The slide is just too cool...

Once you get over the fact that he's on a slide, and he's translucent blue, you start to notice that the actual Iceman sculpt is pretty bad. He looks like he dislocated his shoulder and has watermelons implanted in his thighs.

Iceman is cool only because he is the Biggest Heroclix. But he can break too easy.

I voted for Iron Man, because of the awesome detail of the armor. It is hard to believe such master work can happen, and yet HC made Thor look so bad.

Actually, that's the Spidy they'll be releasing in the next set. :grin:

Anyway, I think the Hulk looks AWESOME! Captures the rage and anger of the Green Goliath better then the Hulk from IC did.

what about the Weapon X fig?? that thing is sweet!! the detail on his helmet and the wires on his chest are amazing!!

sure, iceman is cool looking becuz it is a newer way to pose a figure, but when you look past the ice-slide, he is kinda goofy looking, like ducko said earlier. the green goblin is pretty cool, too.....especially his cape....but i still haveta go with Weapon X........

Personally, I can't believe Shadowcat even made the shortlist. Everyone complained about Psylocke when they previewed her, and she's not great, but Shadowcat's on a level with some of the lamer Infinity Challenge figures. Especially the face. Paint job on it doesn't help either. I'm not normally a complainer, but I like Kitty and seeing her done so poorly is really a disappointment.

Maybe this refers to the unique version, which I'll admit I haven't seen up close, though I haven't been too impressed with the photos I've seen. Lockheed looks good though.

The best scuplt is Weapon X. Second best I cant choose between Savage Hulk, Iron Man, Iceman and Abomination.

I voted "Other" due to some much needed props for STORM! C'mon, all my fellow Brothers in Testosterone! Detail was dead on, even the face actually looked pretty ####ed good for a HC! Even the outfit! Sweeeet! So, yeah, the others mentioned are swanky-cool and all, but none compare to my li'l Ororo Munroe, Storm to you punks.. :P

I think the LE Hulk looks pretty cool (at least the picture in the magazine looks good). Anyone get theirs in the mail yet? I think its kinda strange that the wizkid's website hasn't even mentioned it yet...I'd really like to know what its dial looks like.

how can you people forget about NIGHTCRAWLER??? He is the best sculpt i think he should be #1 with sword and all. How can you people like iceman. Most of them are offbalanced and don't even stay on their bases.
