View Full Version : Thugit, INC: Judgment of the Accused
Inspired by the quest that Thugit has taken with BANE, and those that have followed with their own characters, I knew I wanted to be a part of the fun. After some consideration, I knew who I wanted to champion: FFGG Ronan the Accuser.
Let me start by saying that, unlike most of the others participating, I know little of the character. At the time of making the choice, I had read exactly no books that the character has appeared in, and knew only as much as the card from the Fast Forces provided. I decided, going forward, that I would like to further explore the character, both in comics and Clix. The latter of which I proudly present here.
GAMES PLAYED: 7
KO's:8
The following failed to argue their defense and were found guilty:
BN Green Lantern
AN Saint Walker
GG205 Dr. Doom
Con Wonder Woman x2
IH007 She-Hulk
CR013 Robin
AA021 Miss Martian
My first game actually comes from last night.
150 FFGG Ronan the Accuser
225 CA Maelstrom
VS
150 BN Green Lantern
140 BN The Flash
95 AN Saint Walker
I've decided if I'm not running support for Ronan in the form of FFGG Nova I should run someone else to draw their attention, and Maelstrom filled the role of Giant Blue Target nicely. Once The Flash fell to Maelstrom, Jordan and Walker attempted to plead their innocence, but Ronan had heard enough. Two turns, and two critical hits from single target pulse waves later, Ronan found both guilty.
Thanks to a hectic schedule and being distracted by the Avengers movie and clix, it had been a while since Ronan has been fielded but this morning Ronan was finally able to return to the battlefield for a nice quick game.
100 FFGG Ronan the Accuser
178 IH Red Hulk
VS
139 GG Dr. Doom
140 AVM Hulk
Red Hulk, responding to now confirmed reports that Doom had managed to brainwash and utilize the Hulk as a weapon, became an unlikely but effective ally for Ronan as he sought to bring justice to the tyrannical ruler of Latveria. Luck was on their side, as Doom's brainwashing caused the Hulk to be severly weakened allowing Red Hulk to quickly dispatch the monster by draining the Hulk of his gamma radiation leaving him quite susceptible to Red Hulk's blows and intense heat.
With Banner taken care of, Ross looked forward to being able to test his might against the legendary Dr. Doom, but Ronan would not allow him to interfere with his goal. Doom's technology is impressive, but it pales in comparison to the might of the Universal Weapon, and Doom was found guilty.
As they parted ways, Ronan had to wonder if this result was achieved too easily...One day he would return to this backwards planet and verify that justice was indeed served. The Accused can hide for only so long...

I must say, I am very impressed with your write-up.
Hey thanks! Glad someone's enjoying it
Another couple of games were played with Ronan, one last night and one again this morning. Both games were played with the same teams, and she realized she was playing with a bit of a deficit, but she really wanted to play her new Con Wonder Woman and apparently felt compelled to play a team of Dianas.
150 FFGG Ronan the Accuser
150 FFGG Beta Ray Bill
200 FFGG Silver Surfer
vs
190 Con Wonder Woman
156 SM Wonder Woman
108 B&B Wonder Woman
Back with the Annihilators, Ronan accompanied Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer to investigate a cosmic anomaly the Surfer had detected. The quest led them to an alien planet where they found themselves confronted by a fierce trio of beautiful warriors. The group barely had a moment to prepare themselves when one, apparently the leader, drew her sword and cried out "Attack!". The bearer of the Power Cosmic and the wielder of Stormbreaker are each a force unto themselves, but the aggressive nature their leader instilled in them and their surprizing strength allowed them to match their power.
Ronan took a moment to scan their attackers, and was concerned when all three seemed to be revealed to be the same person, but at the same time not. None of the three belonged, however the leader and the strongest of her warriors seemed to be aberrations of the last one. Ronan attempted to engage their leader, however she was able to shrug off the best the Universal Weapon had to offer and he was unable to land a single attack. Ronan pulled away from that fight to come across the other abberation, worn down with her fight with the Surfer. Not belonging in this or another reality, she was found guilty, however it was still an uphill battle and soon enough, the leader and Ronan were the only ones left. Ronan did his best to overcome the defenses of the one who still didn't belong, but her blade met his chest, and he closed his eyes as the darkness overcame him...
***************************************************************************************
Ronan openned his eyes, finding himself on the same alien planet once again alongside Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer. Not only was Ronan surprized when they once again came across the same three warriors, but was even more concerned when both Surfer and Bill did not recall their previous encounter. Unless they were to suffer the same fate, Ronan knew he would need to cast aside doubts of his place on the team and assume leadership for this conflict. Ronan instructed Bill to engage their leader, and after a mighty strike from Stormbreaker, the resolve of their team quickly fell followed not long by their leader.
The one the abberations were based off of attempted to engage Ronan, but he was easily able to best her in combat. She was not the accused that day though, and she fell to a blast from the Surfer. Finally, the strongest of the warriors was the only to remain. She was quick and resourceful, but Ronan was able to lead his teammates to box her in and cut her options. Justice can not be averted or altered, and she was once again found guilty.
Sorry if the write up's a little longer and rambly, but I was bored...:nervous:

I say run him with Judge Dredd some time. It won't likely match on theme keywords, but TWO guys going around being The Law (tm) together is too fun.
We don't actually bother with Theme Team Bonuses and such, so it wouldn't be an issue. My Fiancee has a JLI team that's made up of really old pieces that I think Judge Dredd would interact with well. And it'd be nice to have a game where Ronan can actually serve as a tent pole
On another note, I'm now in the market for Judge Dredd figures....
Ronan was once again fielded yesterday, in a massive '150 point Characters' match, although none were brought to justice. That day truly belonged to Thanos, who will be having his own KO list started and can soon be read about once I make the thread.
FFWoL Larfleeze was nearly brought down, but teleported away once he was near death. It's OK though. Justice cannot be prevented. Only delayed.
Has it really been a month? That's unacceptable. Ronan has been gathering allies. Prepare for his return.
Ronan debuts his own team!
150 FFGG Ronan the Accuser
125 IH Ghost Rider
65 IH Punisher (+10 Marvel Knights ATA)
42 WoS Eddie Brock (w/ Venom and Anti-Venom AE)
vs
105 IH She-Hulk (+5 Fantastic Force ATA)
110 CA Invisible Woman (+5 Fantastic Force ATA)
88 IH Thundra
82 GG Medusa (+5 Fantastic Force ATA)
Ronan called for a divide and conquer stategy against an opponent who had more experience working together than his rag-tag group. Their leader, She-Hulk moved up to challenge Ronan and her decision was immediately rewarded with a crushing blow from the Universal Weapon. The gama-charged human proved to be a resourceful fighter and worked to prevent another powerful blow at close range but a burst of energy from Ronan's weapon left her crippled at his feet. She-Hulk was unable to regenerate from the onslaught quick enough and she was found guilty.
By this point, Ghost Rider and Venom had already dealt with Thundra, but Punisher had been overwhelmed by Medusa and Invisible Woman. Ronan moved in to deal with the traitorous Inhuman but he underestimated her. She was able to keep him locked down until Ghost Rider moved in and ended the struggle with a flurry of his chain.
Ronan's team was victorious, and his allies would recover just fine, but Ronan was displeased that others escaped justice. Next time he would be better prepared.
Thanos and Ronan return in a crossover event!
300 GG045 Thanos
100 FFGG Ronan
vs
153 AN Superboy
83 OR Blue Beetle
79 CR Robin
76 AA Miss Martian
Instead of just closing these, I've decided to just come to terms that they may go months between updates. I have lots of pieces to play and don't feel the need to rush to 100 KOs like others here.
I decided to dust both Thanos and Ronan off by running them in the same game. This was barely a match. We each moved our forces up and things kicked off with Thanos half killing Blue Beetle and Miss Martian with his first attack. On a good day, Superboy was the only one who could really present a threat, and getting blasted by the Universal Weapon is not part of a good day. Robin managed to Incapacitate Ronan buying his team a turn to get a few hits in, but not before Thanos finished off Blue Beetle. Ronan finished Robin with a single mighty blow of his weapon as Thanos finished what Ronan started with Superboy. Ronan chased down Miss Martian and landed a critical hit to finish off the game.
Coming out of their 'vacation', each adds 2 to their list.
