I got a question about Mastermind, it goes like this:

Say in a battle you have V Joker, V Doom & U Darkside. You got them lined up like this:

Dark
Doom
Joker

All of them are in adjacent squares. Now to the question:

The Joker gets hit. He uses MAstermind to deflect the damage to Doom. Can Doom use HIS mastermind to deflect the damage to Darkside?

Thanks!

Then you have not been reading the rules:

MASTERMIND. This character can deflect damage onto a teammate in an adjacent square. (Optional)
When this character is the target of a successful attack (either close or ranged combat), all the damage it would normally receive from the attack can be inflicted instead on any friendly character with a lower point value in an adjacent square. Any damage-reducing powers possessed by the character receiving the damage reduces this damage per the standard rules.

From the PAC:

MASTERMIND: When this character is the target of a successful attack, all the damage it would normally recieve from the attack can be inflicted instead on any friendly character with a lower point value in an adjacent square.

Hope that helps...

Still, you need to know it to keep yr opponent from masterminding the damage to Hulk or someone nasty like that . . :)

Back to the spirit of the original question:

If Doom was the target of an attack, he could transfer the damage to Joker, but Joker could not transfer to another character. The MM character must be the target of the attack to transfer damage. This also goes for EE splash damage and PW.

Hope this helps.
