Deadpool Petition ?

i see people mentioning Deadpool on this site and others constantly, so much so that it remains surprising to me that marvel has not caved in and brought back deadpool yet. Perhaps though marvel doesnt receive enough feedback on this character... when i think about it, this makes sense since most people that like deadpool are probably not the types to write in to the cheesy-as-hell fan pages...

What say we all start flooding marvel with emails and letters, concentrated all around one time, maybe beginning of May and throughout the month. More than likely they probably dont read every single email, but i am sure they probably roughly keep track of how much feedback they receive on a subject, so just save a copy of the email and resend it every 2-3 days or something. Perhaps if there is enough ruckus from the deadpool fan base they will reconsider their decision to s#### the character... although i imagine it would take quite a bit of participants...

Agent X has been a great comic, but it would be niec to have deadpool back. Considering the setup of the agent x story, deadpool could come back and turn out not to be agent x... im sure a hilarious feud would ensue...

So anyway, just thought id toss this idea out there. If anyone agrees with the idea, start passing it around and getting others in and lets all swamp Marvel in Deadpool fan mail at the beginning of May.

I'd rather petition the meatball armor they stuck Doctor Doom in. It won't change anything, they'll have to buy the rights, and they won't spend money for it when you keep buying their books. 2 + 2 says get people to stop buying Agent X, and they'll figure it out.

They aren't printing Deadpool or Cable anymore not because they want to change things, but simply because they don't own the character.

Liefield does so they can't use them unless they pay him.

ok, im sick of the whole liefeld debate. Yes , nearly everyone is bleedingly aware of this rumored situation by now, thank you for reminding us.This has been rambled on and on about in countless other threads. My reasoning for this thread was to try to get people organized a bit to attempt to do something about this, not to have people going on and on with there screwjob rumormongering.

As for agent x, its gone at issue 12, check the Marvel site, this is not a rumor.

And yes, harassing them can accomplish this. people ransacked marvel over kia asimayas pathetic uncanny x-men work, and voila, he's gone.

plenty of liefeld's other creations are popping up in marvel pages lately, if there is enough interest in a character, they will bring it back. Its all money. if they think they can make money on something, then they will use it. If you like deadpool, stop complaining on here and reitterating the whole liefeld-ownership-loyalties mantra and slam marvel with complaints over the loss of this character.

umm... ok, that made a lot of sense. I don't recall "opening the floor to discussion" of WHY Deadpool isn't around, rather that perhaps we should make some noise about it TO marvel instead of whining in silence on these forums.

If people want to argue about the rumors they hear regarding licensing, good for them, but for heaven sake do it in a thread with that topic declared. Its idiotic that every thread that ever has any mention of Deadpool in it falls into the now classic Liefeld licencing debate, going completely off topic.

If you are in agreement on the petition thing, great. if you have some valid point to make against it, fine. If anything else, take it to a thread where it is relevant.

I would be inclined to agree with your remarks regarding Agent X, but as im sure you've noticed by now, they are s####ping that title as well. And as for Doom, I don't mind the new costume as long as it isn't permanent. For the sake of the current story arc I think it makes sense.

That's the thing when you're dealing with comic fans. When something comes up even remotely connected to Liefeld, the age-old debate kicks into overdrive.

Me personally, I'd love to have a Deadpool fig to move around and put the hurt on peoples and make bad cracks about Wolvie's mama with.

And that is all I'm saying about that.

well, apparently enough people made a fuss about the agent x cancelation AND deadpool, as im sure many of you have noticed by now, marvel changed their minds about the agent x cancelation (At least postponing it) and have indicated that deadpool will be returning.

got any comments "kroc" or "i am the game" ?

do everyone a favor and can the know-it-all cynical attitude, especially when you are speaking so adamantly about something you know so terribly little about.

Deadpool has always been an awesome character. I personally didn't approve of the whole Agent X thing but that's better than nothing I guess. I will love to have Deadpool back kicking the Marvel universe in the ###.

As for which heroclix........ Just make them both (not a complex idea) Deadpool R/E/V and Agent X Unique.

Well they can't really avoid bringing Deadpool back into the "Weapon X" Series, since when have you seen a hero get that treatment and not retaliating or returning. But I must agree Agent X has been fun, but it just is'nt the same. He has a mouth and it pretty much runs all the time, but it aint the same as "The merc with a mouth" series.

I loved finally seing a hero get some (Agent X and that Cowgirl thingie, and he was drunk too!!!)

agent x is being 'cancelled' because its going back to deapool in august.

I'm not sure of it going back to being Deadpool but I know that Deadpool is going to be guest-starring in the final two issues of Agent X. I'm guessing we'll learn his fate from those books.

I've enjoyed Agent X a lot and I would really like an Alex hayden clix. But I don't see it happening soon or at all.
