a little while ago (before the re-order of topics) someone posted up a table made for herclix maps. i saw it and printed off the pistures before i lost the site and i am just asking:
a)does anybody know the site, and
B)i am planning to make one of these for a school project, and am wondering if i could ask you guys/gals for your opinions/suggestions (besides learning how to spell!)?

One item that they mentioned on the table was an area around 3"x3" that was about an inch deep that was covered in felt for people to roll their die in.

I think this is a GREAT idea, since the people I play with either can't keep them both on the table, or like to (literally) knock out those pesky opponent clix on the table.

Good luck, and post lots of pics or a link to building instructions for the rest of us!!

thanks, i am considering:
1)some figure holders
2)some large figure holders (e.g. sentenal)
[both for 'dead' figures during a game]
3)cup holder!
4)dice/item holder - maybe seperated
5)definitely colapsable legs (like old poker tables)
6) maybe a lid or a table that folds in half.
7) a 'suken' map area (will have to be around 3ft X 3ft)
8) a plastic cover for map
9) magnetic weapons/items (to stop them 'accidently' getting
blown across the board)
10) # 1, 2, 3 and 4 on 2/3/4 sides for multi-player games
11) legs locking in at different heights
12) lighter materials (plastic maybe too fragile, proberly use pine or MDF)

and this is just 2 hours of rough skecthing and many nights of thinking before entering the land of nod!

i won't start much more than rough skecthes untill next september as that's when i am surposed to start the whole project.

ANY INPUT IS VERY WELCOME!

Here's the thread that inspired me to have one made:

Here's how mine came out:

It's not too portable (being made of a lot of oak), but since my roommate and I never actually eat in the dining room, we figured what the heck and gave it a permanent home.

anyway that looks really cool, thanks for the help if you could make/buy any black painted oak/pine chairs to match than your all set.
