For the next several weeks, I will give a shot to creating the Legion members most likely to be in the next set. I already did a R/E/V of M'onel, which got deleted during the switch. Today we try Saturn Girl, one of the founding members of the Legion of Super Heroes.

Saturn Girl- Veteran
Team- Legion
Flight base
6 range, 2 arrows

Movement: 8, 8, 7, 7, 6, 6
Attack: 9(I), 9(I), 8(I), 8(I), 7(I),6
Defense: 16, 16, 15, 15, 14, 14
Damage: 1(O), 1(O), 1(P), 1(P), 1(P), 1(O)

I= Incap
O= Outwit
P= Perplex

Incap for inducing sleep or confusion.
Outwit for mentally deducing a weakness
Perplex for mentally coordinating her teammates to better performance.

Points and comments welcome!

Ah, this is where my lack of depth concerning DC comes in. All I know of is the Saturn Girl from Dark Knight Strikes Again

I'd say no to outwit - that's Brainiac-5, not Saturn Girl.

Other possible ability additions:

1. Mind control - not used often, but it is there.
[Maybe one click on the Vet version?]
2. Leadership, for the same reason as perplex.

Perplex over Leadership simply because it allows more possibilities, and Cosmic Boy will have leadership, since in the current run, she hasn't been leader. She can't control minds. That was Saturn Queen. Saturn Girl can read minds, plant suggestions, discover plans and weaknesses (hence the Outwit). I hesitated to put all outwit, since she really isn't strong enough to warrant 2 damage for 6 range. Perhaps Perplex on 0 damage?

Who's next? Curious to see how you would do Ultra Boy? If they ever added B/C/F to DC do you think Timer Wolf would be a candidate? I dare ya to do the Legion of Substitue heros!

Stoneboy would be like V White Queen with less movement.

Infectious lass would have Poison.

Color Kid would have 6 range with 0 damage.

Polar boy would be similar to Iceman.

Nightgirl would have 0 damage with SS, outwit her and she is useless.

Chlorophyll Kid- perplex on 0 damage.

Ultraboy will be right after the original 3 founders.
Timber Wolf will be B/C/F, in my version with CCE in backup if b/c/f doesn't carry over.

I meant leadership in place of outwit.

and Cosmic Boy will have leadership, since in the current run, she hasn't been leader.

That doesn't mean she's forgotten how.
Also, the power fit the description. :noid:

She can't control minds.

She most certainly *can*. She just normally uses it for "crowd control" rather than direct manipulation of enemies.
[Rather like Prof X., actually.]

Thus my suggestion of just a single click.

[What was the whole "phantom girl is here, fighting alongside us" thing, if not "mind control"?]

That was Saturn Queen. Saturn Girl can read minds, plant suggestions, discover plans and weaknesses (hence the Outwit).

I still think outwit is overkill on her.

How often has *she* come up with a "master plan" to KO some impossible-to-stop bad guy?

It's B-5, or even invisible kid{!}, not S.G.

I hesitated to put all outwit, since she really isn't strong enough to warrant 2 damage for 6 range. Perhaps Perplex on 0 damage?

That would be interesting, since she has two bolts.
It would mske her *want* to use perplex on someone else.

She defeated Universo in the old run, getting past Monel and Ultraboy to do it. The two arrows were mostly for the Incap, since she can affect multiple targets (as you called crowd control). I would be interested in an example of mind control for her. I have many issues of LSH dating back to the early 60's, and have never seen it. Perhaps outwit at the end, for last ditch effort, and perplex for the rest.

Well, I feel that I already gave one example of mental manipulation, and since I'm not wanting to wade through thirty-odd years of LSH either (I'm not quite that old, but picked up back issues. ;) ), how about information straight from the source?

http://www.dccomics.com/secret/profiles/legion/saturngirl.html

"As a young child, Imra displayed top-level telepathic abilities and was taken from her family to begin years of intense mental training with the best minds of Titan. She honed her abilities to scan and read sentient minds, communicate non-verbally with one or many, and gain limited control of another's mind and /or actions."

If D.C. comics says she can gain limited control of another's mind and/or actions, doesn't that mean she has mind control? :p

OTOH, you *may* be right that incapacitate is a better representation of her normal mode of attack.

I was just thinking that she basically does what Prof X. does (calms the crowd, 'neutralizes' a villain), and he has a full row of MC... so why not her?

I mean really, the last time I can recall someone using *Heroclix* style mind control is when Psylocke took over Sabretooth when she and Wolverine were trying to rescue the rest of the X-men from Omega Red... I don't really recall the Professor ever making someone else *do* something.

I see your point, and will add a click of MC. Prof X has altered what others percieved (Marvel Team-Up), which could cause a person to mistakenly attack an ally, as has Phoenix (to Kitty's dad, changing his attitude).
