For players in and around the Nashville area, there is a great website you can check out:
http://www.mtgamersguild.com/ (http://www.mtgamersguild.com)

Several area venues have their event schedules posted here, as well as maps and directions. Also, lots of HeroClix news and gossip, customs galleries, and downloads for all HeroClix players.

When you go to this URL, find and click on any HeroClix link to be taken to the HeroClix Playa (http://mtgamersguild.com/mstrPages/framemaster.htm) news page. From there, you can surf the entire site. Be sure to check back weekly, as event schedules are updated weekly and new stuff is going in regularly!

Games Plus, a proud supporter of the Middle Tennessee Gamers Guild, will be holding a Grand Opening HeroClix Tournament to celebrate their recent relocation to 505 S. Gallatin Rd, in Madsion, TN.

The event will be held this Saturday, May 3, at 12 Noon, and it will be a 200-point, 2-booster sealed HtH event. As an extra incentive, they will give all players their second booster FREE when they purchase their 1st one for the tournament.

First prize for this event will be the Arthur Curry LE 4. In addition, Games Plus will award an LE 4 for Second Place, an LE 3 for Third Place, and an LE for Fellowship.

Also, all players who arrive and register before Noon will be eligible for several door prize drawings to be held during the tournament. These prizes include a new Sinestro figure, Adventure Kits, HeroClix boosters, gift certificates for free merchandise, and more! Doors open at 10 am.

Games Plus of Madison has announced they will hold a HeroClix tournament with the grand prize being an unopened case of the new DC Cosmic Justice.

The event will be held on Friday, July 11, with a tournament start time of 7 pm (CST) sharp. This will allow players traveling from out-of-town to attend. Entrance fee will be $25 per player, and all players must pre-register and submit a $10 deposit before the cutoff date (not yet determined). That money will apply toward the entrance fee. Entrance fee balances will be due prior to tournament start. Players may pre-register by phone with a credit card (615-870-1550).

Tournament format will be a 300-point constructed Head-to-head Swiss, with some sort of requirement including DC characters (the prize is a DC set, after all) -- but that is all that is known at this time. Prizes may be increased to include 2nd place, 3rd place, etc., depending on the number of participants, and may consist of Cosmic Justice boosters. More details will be published on the HeroClix Playa website as they become available, but players are encouraged to pre-register now at Games Plus, 505 South Gallatin Rd, Madison, TN 37115.

Games Plus reserves the right to limit participation in this event at its sole discretion. Only players who have pre-registered are guaranteed entry into this event. In the event of tournament cancellation, all registration fees will be refundable.

Note: this is not a WizKids sanctioned event.

Calling out all clixers in the Murfreesboro Area! Outer Limits on Memorial Lane is a great place to play.

We play every Sunday at 1:30 pm. We follow the Wizkids schedule as far as prizes go. If you are new to the game we are currently running Modern Age games. So no need to worry about feats, battle field conditions, or old broken cheese. We follow heroclix rules and there are no house rules involved just so you know what to expect. The builds we play with are usually 500 to 600. Come out and support the game.

Since outer limits has had their fire incident, where is the place to play now in Mid Tn?

I haven't played since Brave and the Bold. I would have to check on that.

The website did contain this information:

ON THE MORNING OF JANUARY 22, THE OUTER LIMITS IN MURFREESBORO EXPERIENCED A DEVASTATING FIRE. ALL CONTENTS APPEAR TO BE LOST.

AT THIS TIME, WE ARE PLANNING TO REOPEN. TEMPORARY LOCATION WILL BE AT 620 SOUTH HIGHLAND AVE IN MURFREESBORO

I haven't spoken with some the guys that play there, but I imagine some might have lost some good pieces that were kept at the store and I would also guess that all of the maps we used also went up in smoke.

Besides the heroclix stuff, they also had some nice collectibles and vintage stuff.
