Hey guys, first post.

In my long search for a online table-top simulator, whatcha majig, I found this:

http://www.vassalengine.org/Download.html

It does a pretty good job, it has the ability to move pieces around a map, it can have spreadsheets tied to a character for the purpose of stat display, it has a thread you can measure things, dice roller, a window for chat, etc etc. Plus it apparently has more features you can customize.

Anyway, I'm well off to making a heroclix module, but It'd be alot easier if I had a few people to help enter in statistics for the characters, and whatnot. If anybody is intereasted, I'll get a link for the module I made so far, a long with instructions on how I'd like the spreadsheets to work.

Hit me back if you're intereasted.

I know there are already ways of playing online, but I don't know how good they are.

Here's where you can download the module. What I'd like to do is to get a group of people together and make updates to it until all of the units are in.

To play the module, don't unzip it, instead, download Vassal from the link from my first post, and then select "Play Module", and open Heroclix118.zip.

Your link for the module doesn't seem to work. Also, I might have an automatic way of creating CSV files if needed.

I hadn't seen this before. This shows great promise. What do we need to do to get this going. Rodney Kinney and the people who make VASSAL might be able to help.

Thanks,

Sean

I'm working on my own VASSAL clix module. My concentration is on tokens, bystandards and maps. As much as it would be cool to use actual scans of the figs, I've pondered using Microheroes. Easy to modify/update, endless costumes/color configurations, etc. Also, an easy way to create customs for play.

Since my module is fairly large, I don't have enough space on my server to upload it for download. Sorry! But I'll make sure to update my site with a few preview pics for those of you who are interested. Let's get cracking, people!

Project canceled. :(

For some strange reason, I couldn't re-edit my module
and add new material! Prob'ly bugs, or a love/hate relationship between Windows and Java on my machine... Looks like I'm going with a Flash-based clix sim for now.:cross-eye
