Who is The Key?

Can someone tell me who The Key is and what comic he's from. Until hi click came out, i'd never heard of him.

The way the Key looks now was debuted somewhere within issues 5 or 6 (maybe both) of the current JLA run.

He has been around for awhile, though.

The Key used to be a scientist for Intergang, who used his own "psycho-chemicals" to unlock the unused areas of the human mind. He became incredibly smart and has utilized mind control powers against his enemies. He has gone up against the JLA on several occasions and is one of their deadliest enemies. He claims to be beyond the "sixth sense" and own something like, 11 senses. No jail can hold him, no lock can keep him in. He is a pretty bad dude. Check him out in the JLA : American Dreams TP.

as cool as the key is though, the last time he was around he was beaten pretty easily

well he was facing the entier jla. in the beginning he got the drop on a few and had the upper hand......but alas no villain keeps the upper hand when youre facing the likes of superman, batman, flash, green lantern, wonder woman, and aquaman....let alone steel, huntress, oracle, catwoman (yes in those issues she was ....loosely...a jla member.), plastic man, aztec, et al

im not sure if we are talking about the same story, in the story im talking about is when the key had taken over the watchtower and the entire league had been taken out and all it took to beat him was green arrow (connor god bless him) clumsily shooting a boxing glove arrow and knocking out the key.

im pretty sure that this was before huntress, catwoman,aztek era

you are correct. i was remarking more to the power of the league. key did single handedly take down the justice league and yes connor finding ollies boxing glove arrow in the glass case, in the "trophy room" knocked key out.
what can you say....he was on his last clicks by then and connor rolled boxcars.lol
