Myself and a group of my friends run a heroclix campaign where we earn experience to apply toward upgrading our 'teams' that we recruited. We started out by drafting a leader and enough other figs to equal 100 point teams (all rookies). We all have some wicked 400+ point teams that we've accumulated over the last 4-6 months or so. We trade-off GMing and for SOME reason, I seem to get the brunt of the GM complaints (being too cut-throat with the bad guys and not creative enough in my scenerios). SO... I was wondering if anyone else out there is also running a similar campaign-style heroclix and if they might be so kind as to offer up their scenerio ideas. An example of what I have run in the past has been stuff like capture the flag with a barrier in the middle that randomly (roll of 5 or 6 on 1d6) captures figures trying to pass through, etc.

I play in a loose campaign with urlmaker and a few other guys. The team building is similar - start with 100 points and everyone has to be a rookie to start. Then as you complete adventures you get points and can use them to upgrade to E or V or to recruit new rookies. We have about 11 standard scenarios, and about 40 subplots, so we pair up, and whoever is playing their "hero" team rolls on both charts (we use a PalmPilot number genrator since 11-sided dice are hard to come by). Then the other player picks a villain force of equivalent points and they play out the scenario. The subplots keep it from being the same scenarios over and over again. The subplots are just little things like more bad guys, fewer bad guys, random weather interference, etc. The major scenarios we have are:
BANK ROBBERY - the villains are just trying to get off the map after robbing a bank
BREAKTHROUGH - the heroes are trying to get off the map to assist the authorities somewhere else, and the bad guys are stopping them
SAFEHOUSE - the good guys are guarding a snitch (a rookie henchman) and the bad guys are trying to kill him
DISARM - the bad guys have set a bomb in a building and the good dguys have to reach it and disarm it
and there are others but I think you get the idea. You get experience points for succeeding in the mission and for KO'ing bad guys. One of these days hopefully urlmaker will post all this stuff on his website ...

THANKS Kozmik - those are some good ideas. I'll definitely start incorporating them into the future scenerios I happen to be GMing... ;) Glad to hear others are having similar fun with heroclix and using them in extended campaigns...
