for me my favorite time period for the x-men was the late 70s/early 80s so id put cyclops, pheonix, wolverine, nightcrawler, colossus, shadowcat and storm and throw in gambit and rogue.
that would be the team id want to see together again

i agree with samhain138. personally, that team is my favorite of all time. great characters, team dynamics...

my next favorite team would be the late 80's team, just after the mutant massacre. storm, wolvie, havok, colossus, rogue, dazzler, longshot and psylocke.

hmm, on that note, i wish they'd make longshot, dazzler and havok into clix, then i'd have my team.

I agree with the everyone comment. Think about it, if I have every X-men I will always beat any subset of some x-men.

let's keep it to regular reality teams... not including members of fringe teams such as new mutants, xforce, etc

cyclops, jean grey/marvel girl/phoenix, angel/archangel, beast, iceman, mimic, havok, polaris, professor x...

storm, wolverine, colossus, nightcrawler, banshee, thunderbird, sunfire...

sprite/kitty pryde/shadowcat, rogue, phoenix, magneto, psylocke, longshot, dazzler, forge, gambit, bishop, white queen, cannonball, marrow, maggot, cable, chamber, husk, juggernaut...

i'm sure i missed a lot, esp. the more current ones since i'm not quite up to date with the xmen... feel free to add, of course.
