View Full Version : 2 versions of Indy Clix?
I heard a rumor that Indy Clix is going to launch with 2 sets. One for the U.S. market and one for the European market. The European set will feature more 2000 A.D. characters.
If this is true, I hope they make all the figures available in the U.S. eventually.
sounds like a silly rumor to me.
Sure the 2000 AD figures are more popular in the UK, but I'm sure the Wizkids people know they'd just piss everybody off by doing so...
I think I could describe myself as "an active UK gamer" - and neither I nor anyone on "our" network has heard this one.
Heroclix is only distributed by hobbygames - they have no manufacturing orb packaging arm.
I really don't think this will happen.
While I agree it sounds very unlikely, I have actually heard the same thing from a retailer who, I believe, was told someone on the Wizkids team at Gencon UK.
I had dismissed it, but it seems interesting that the same rumour has cropped up elsewhere.
Anyone else heard anything?
i have heard the same thing but a little different. I heard that there will be different sets for all 50 states.
what do you mean, of course im serious :p
The rumour has gained weight...
It is sugested from some who were at the UK games day that there will be 8 figs in the UK/Euorope set that will not be in the American set, and visa versa.
I REALY hope this isn't true, but it is starting to look likely...
All the Best
Hey Noman, if that's true, I'll trade ya... :)
No problem, Funky Jet - if this turns out to be true, I'd be happy to do that.

8 Figures special to each launch.
That would be 2 r/e/v and 2 unique figures.
That could be possible. And really wouldn't be that big of a deal.
Oh yes it would...
...postage accross the great big pond HURTS...
and I, like Funky Jet, want them ALL
(gibbers unconsolably in the corner a bit...)
All the Best
So, still no formal confirmation on this by reputable sources then? I'm gonna have to chalk it up to the same rumor mill that *insisted* the first DC set would be Emerald Dawn, until we get solid info instead of 'friend of a friend' reports.
I did a gig with one of the WizKids guys and he said that the distribution of 2000AD figs will be greater in the UK because it is a bigger sailer over there but the US will get just a normal ratio he said nothing about UK only figs.
I was at Gencon UK in April this year. I was at the Envoy appreciation night, attended by Wizkids Senior Games Designer Matt Robinson and their Manager of International Marketing.
I can confirm that there will be two separate sets of Indyclix. The vast majority of each set will be identical, except for a number of figures (about 16, if I recall correctly) around the Common/Uncommon levels.
The idea is that a number of comics are more popular in the States than here in the U.K, and vice versa.
So, if anyone wants to trade with me for some UK figs when they're released, feel free to contact me. I'll want a US set, too, I'm sure. :-)
So - it looks like the rumour is true - several 2000 AD figs are only being released in the UK, while several Crossgen figs are only being released in the States.
Go check boneyard's thread re the Indy expansion list.
All the Best
If I don't get my Judge Anderson because WK only released her in the UK i'll be royally P.O.ed.
Although I'm doubting that we'll even get a Judge Anderson.
I think we WILL get Judge Anderson. However, I am extremely miffed with the dual release idea - can somebody clarify the rarity of the 2000AD / Crossgen figures involved ?
All the Best
I am so sick of hearing about this. Can someone from WK just come on the boards and either CONFIRM or DENY this rumor?
Wizkids has a strict policy of keeping fans in suspense forever. Even after prodcuts have been released.
Here is the most recent update from boneyard - and over the last 2 releases, he has the best "predictions" track record.

There was an anouncement by wizkids at Origins that some figures in European and US sets would br different because of differences in the 2 markets. (whether a figure is familiar or not). The european set will contain more 2000a.d. figs. No number was mentioned but I have heard 15 since then.(which would be 5 3level figs, let's hope none are uniques.)
Noman - I'll teach you how to send across the waters so that it's not expensive. Easy once you know how.
Everyone else - If you desperatly want any of those little 2000ad clix we over here are getting dumped with, I'd gladly trade for some of those US Crossgen Clix. Just let me know once you all get some and need a trade.
Is Wizkids going to make the "UK only" figures available for American distributors to purchase for re-sale, i.e. can American distributors purchase UK only cases for re-sale here in the states? I am just curious is all.
From what I heard US retailers cannot purchase the UK cases as they are drop shipped from China into the States, and then shipped from the US to the UK. I know in Canada the only way to get the UK cases is to buy them through a UK distributer and have them shipped back to Canada. It has something to do with liscencing agreements and customs documentations.
this suks cuz i dont no much about crossgen topcow 2000ad danger girl kabuki or anything except for dark horse and slavelabor(whitch those @$$holes at wizkids didnt get a lisence for) and i still want 2000ad characters after seeing judge deathe and judge dredd makee NNY CLIX
Wow, those UK only figs are going to sell for HUGE amounts.
speaking of which, Check out my LE Auction. Arthur Curry is still available for only $10.00*.
