View Full Version : Marvel Who are cable and omega red?
I remember having their action figures as a kid and i was wondering what they actually did
Cable was the son of Jean Grey and Cyclops who came back from the future mainly to fight Apocolypse. Omega Red was a Russian who had a beef with Wolverine and he used adamantium extensions from his wrists. He had some type of powers that made people sick but I can't remember. Both would be great clicks.
Actually, Cable is the son of Cyclops and Madeline Pryor (clone of Jean). Purely semantics of course, but why we love our twisted X-Universe. Cable is now Soldier X so Marvel doesn't have to pay Rob Liefeld any money.
Cable has psionic powers, mostly telekinesis and telepathy. These powers were used up fighting the technovirus in his body, so he used mostly weapons. He has since gotten the virus under control, and can now use his powers for other things.
Omega Red is what happens when you put Doc Ock and Sabretooth in a Shake N' Bake bag.

Omega Red's tendrils are actually carbonadium. and his power is close to Rogue's, in that he drains lifeforce. but he doesn't absorb abilities. he's a russian super soldier if i'm not mistaken
yes he is a russian super soldiar,he emmits a death pheramone that drains people of their life and sustains his life. His beef with wolverine goes back to wolverine's days in the cia, because wolverine, sabertooth and maverick stole the carbonadium synthesizer that would allow him( omega) to live without having to drain other people. After the synthesizer was taken omega was stuck in the deep freeze, and when he was awakened he was very unhappy about what happened to him.
Whew...sorry that was so long but that's about everything I know about omega red

Cable is the older, weaker version Nate Summers. And didn't have a clone named Strife? Strife, until he was killed was Cable's AE, more so than even Apokalypse.
stryfe was cables clone made by the askani when he was sent to the future as a baby. Cable is nathan summers and the only younger version of him was the one that crossed over from the age of apocalypse(the x-man comics)
The Summers family tree is twisted. To convolute things more, Alternate universe (Day of Future Past) versions of Scott and Jean had Racheal Summers, who came to our universe. She eventually went to the future (I forget how) and became Mother Askani (if memory serves).
yeah, you are right, she did become mother askani.
I'm really hoping we get an Omega REd figure that is both AE of Sabretooth AND Wolverine. It would fit and be cool to have a three way arch enemy triangle.
The Summers (Scott and Jean/Madelyne) are the biological parents of:
Racheal
Cable
Stryfe
Nate (X-Man)
Is there anyone else?
Being that Stryfe is a clone....I don't think that Cyclops is his father...
Just like Richard and Mary Parker aren't the parents of the cloned Ben Reilly!
I thought ben reilly turned out to be the real peter parker, or some crazy thing like that
nope, ben reilly was the clone. the DNA tested proved that he was the origonal, but when he was killed he turn immidiatly to dust, proving that he was the clone.
ah, well that makes perfect comic book sense.lol
yeah, it was until that point that i LIKED the clone saga. then again, it was the end. :ermm:
I always felt the whole point of the clone saga was to prove a hero is made of actions, not genetic material. They had realisticly written Peter to a point where he was fed up with these bad guys escaping all the time. He needed a rest, but you can't stop the books. Since both characters believed they were the real deal and behaved accordingly, it didn't matter who was Spider-Man. By their actions, they both were.
Does anybody remember the old What If where the clone comes back, and they fool everybody by having Peter and Spidey in the same place at the same time. It ends with them both continuing to work together. This was years before the Clone Saga.
Yeah I vaugely remember that old what if, it's kind of funny now that I think about it.
