Okay...

Since we're like the ninth pair to start up, I figure most people know what's going on. A group of about two dozen HCRealms members are testing whether or not, in the grand scheme of things, Firelord is truely broken. In the first round, I'll be playing BaneOfEvil.

My first roll is an 8.

I picked the Marvel Indoor map...

I just cut and pasted it from Heroix's old site, which can be found at Creation Matrix. It's already lettered and numbered. Letters go along the starting area that is completely in the mall. Numbers go along the other axis.

Objects are first, then figures. I had forgotten about objects for a moment, but I rolled a few moments ago for item choice. I was guessing we could proceed as high roller gets two heavy, one light, if that's okay (as stated in roll). If you want another way, then name it.

Spikor, when I add it up, your team comes to 305. Is it possible you meant a R SWAT Specialist, rather than a V, which would put you at 300 exactly?

I apologize for my abrupt departure last night. Storms rolled in and started hitting pretty hard, and I decided it might not be such a good idea to stick around.

Good moving, good moving. You made things quite a bit difficult for me.

My first turn:

Shadowcat grabs Nightcrawler and Phases down to L-10. Drops Nightcrawler into M-11.
Nightcrawler BAMF's to O-15 and tries to give the beauty (Elektra) a smack.
Elektra Defense = 16. Nightcrawler's Attack = 10. Needs a 6.
Rolls 6 and 6. A 12. 2 base damage + 1 Critical +1 knockback. 4 total damage.
Nightcrawler BAMF's back to L-8.
Wasp picks up Firelord, free moves to L-9. Drops Firelord on item at M-10.
Firelord drops barrier in squares: M-9, N-10, M-11, L-11
End turn.

Simplified.
1. Shadowcat taxis Nightcrawler. SC stops in L-10. NC in M-11.
2a. NC uses hypersonic speed, moves to O-15. Attacks Elektra, hits for four. Moves back to L-8.

Doc Samson Perplexes Shadowcat's movement up to 9.
Shadowcat pushes to carry Samson. Shadowcat stops at J8.
Drops Samson at J7. Samson charges, picking up Light at I7, to K9.(Moving through friendly fig, Shadowcat.) And attacks the not so friendly Shadowcat. He needs a 7 to hit for 5. He gets 5 + 6 = 11. That's a good hit, but I await a Super Senses roll.

Shadowcat deftly dodges Samsons attack. (And I am pretty much screwed) The rest of the turn plays out like so:

I'm a very lucky man. Now hoping I won't make a mistake.

We'll start off by pushing to try and break away with Wasp, using free move. Rolls a 3. No success with breakaway.

For our first action we'll go over to Shadowcat. She pushes and grabs Firelord, moving over to L-5. Firelord's flaming Q-Tip almost catches her hair on fire, so she drops him in K-6.

Firelord, still a little surprised by being handled so forcefully, turns his sights to Doctor Leonard Samson (also, the green haired freak). He (Firelord) uses my second action to push and try and attack Leonard.
Firelord's attack value = 12. Doc Samson's defense value = 16. Need a four or greater.
Rolls 1, 6 = 7. A hit for three damage to Doc Samson, after invulnerability.

For my third action, I'll push Nightcrawler. He's going to take the easier, not so risky way of hitting and running. He makes an attempt at Doc Sampson.
Nightcrawlers attack value = 10. Doc's defense value = 14 Need a four or greater to do a .. whopping one damage! Wow.
Rolls 4, 5 = 9. A hit, for one damage.
Nightcrawler then BAMF's to K-5.

Simplified-
Free. Wasp tries break away with free move. 3. Fails.
1. Shadowcat phases to L-5, carrying Firelord to K-6.
2. Firelord hits Doc for 3.
3. Nightcrawler hits Doc for 1 then moves to K-5.

Okay...

Elektra trudges backwards... away fromt the fray. After spending half her energy ulling herself out from under a table, she stops at Q19, exhausted.

Bullseye takes aim at the small lady near Samson. He encourages the SWAT Specialist, Sgt. Ben Dover, to lend him a little power, pushing Sgt. Dover. Bullseye needs a 6 to hit Wasp.
He gets 5+3=8. And 4 damage later, Wasp is knocked out.

Black Panther Avenges himself to K17.

1.Elektra moves to Q19.
2.Bullseye attacks Wasp, hitting for 1 + 2(RCE) + 1 (SHIELD). This KO's Wasp.
3.SHIELD Team Pushes SWAT Specialist.
Free: Black Panther moves to K17.

By my horrible move last night, I thought I'd taught myself not to make moves when I'm badly in need of sleep, but I don't think my turn tonight will be that long. Sorry for lack of anything humorous, or anything at all.

Vulture carries Bullseye. Vulture to L-4. Bullseye to M-5.
Bullseye aims at Shadowcat.
Bullseye's attack value = 11. Shadowcat's defense value = 16. Need a 5 or greater.
Wow. The dice server is cheating for me. Rolls 6, 6 = 12. Now I will await a super senses roll. (I would roll it myself, because that's what people usually do in these cases, but since you let me roll mine, have at yours...just miss. ;D)
If super senses misses, damage will be 3 + 1 critical + 1 knockback. Waiting now for super senses roll.

I'd actually like to claim a technicality. Since Bullseye never misses, we should s#### Shadowcat's super senses roll. You know, just for continuity and all. ;D

And with a 2 for a Supersenses roll, My Kitty is dead. Sigh... If I were any more screwed... well... I couldn't be any more screwed. Never mind.

Round 4!
Poor Shadowcat drops to the ground, unconcious. Samson wonders what has happened to his precious taxi... looks left, then right, and promptly runs away to F4, picking up the motorcycle parked in J11 as he scurries. Since Doc never learned to drive a motorcycle, it will do little good for him, unless he uses it to smash things. After moving, he realizes that the ambulance is very far away... and he could be commiting himself to a suicide mission.

Bullseye squints, and can't believe his eyes. He is just barely able to see Firelord around that corner. He pushes to attack, needing 6 to hit for 4, with the Doombot mimicing the SHIELD abilty. He gets 9 (6, 3).


Summary
1. Doc Samson moves to H13, picks up heavy at J11.
2.Bullseye pushes to attack Firelord. Gets 9, dealing 4 (1 + 2, RCE + 1, SHIELD) damage.

Cool. Glad there's someone I don't have to fight with about that working. Tight squeezes like that have ended in arguments just about every time I've come across them. No one I've been up against seems to remember co-ordinate geometry. :confused:

Take your time with your move... I'm pretty sure I don't want to see it, to be honest. Unless it's full of critical misses! ;)

This isn't really all that bad for you, to be honest. Gonna try and show you one of the main reasons I think he's borken. Anyway, away I go.

1. Shadowcat (L-5) is gonna taxi Firelord (K-6). She phases to G-4. Firelord is dropped at F-3.
2. Medic (G-2) makes a heal attampt on Firelord (F-3).
8 to 10. Need a two. Rolled 6. Healed Firelord for 4 clicks.
3. Guess I'll pass on this one. I had several options, but I guess I'll wait to kick myself until after your next move.

It's odd. The turns before, I feel like I haven't had enough actions. This turn, I pass my third action, because I don't have enough actions. ;D

Oh ####. After seeing your turn... I just realized that I messed up big time. If you take a look at my post for turn 4, in the descriptions, I moved Doc Samson to F4, to make it impossible for you to heal (impossible from F3, anyway) I decided to do this after I had written up my summary and final positions. I forgot to change it in the summary and FPs though. ####. This is my mistake, and I'm fine with having Doc at H13, because you could have easily phased to G1, and dropped FL at F1. I'll try to be more careful in the future.

Also, I hope Real Life brightens up for you in the future. It's a shame that real problems ever have to get in the way. I'd love it if arguing whether or not Firelord was broken was the biggest problem in my life... :ermm:

Elektra runs towards the medic, to L23, hoping against hope that she will have some bandages (and a pair of sais) to give her. The Paramedic reaches into her medkit attempting to find something. She needs a 4 to heal Elektra. She gets 5 + 1 = 6, which is good enough. She heals Elektra 4 Clicks, which is exactly what the ninja needs right now. Samson pushes himself to run, moving to K20. Black Panther moves to M15, outwitting Bullseye's RCE.

kay, another quick turn.

1. Shadowcat (G-4) pushes to taxi Firelord (F-3). She stops at N-11. Firelord to M-12.
2. Firelord (M-12) takes an action to shoot at Doc Samson (K-20).
Firelord's attack value = 11. Doc's defense value = 13 plus 1 hindering. Need a 3. (Forgot about the push damage at first, that's why the roll mail said 4.)
Rolls - 5, 4 = 9. A hit for four damage. Doc is KO'd if I'm seeing everything right.
3. Nightcrawler (K-5) uses hypersonic speed to BAMF to L-15. He tries to make an attack on Panther.
Nightcrawler's AV = 9. Black Panther's DV = 15. Need a 6.
Rolls 1, 4 = 5. Missed. The dice server is starting to not like me so well.
Nightcrawler finishes off by moving on around to N-14.

All right. What BaneOfEvil was waiting for from me was whether or not I was going to contest a copy and paste oversight on his part. I'm not going to. I've screwed up twice that I can think of, just off the top of my head. While it would very much be in my best interests to fight it... I can't, not with good conscience, anyway :ermm:

And that means that Bullseye rolled a 5... and hits our dear friend, Mr. Doomboto for 3 clix of damage. And that I get to cry myself to sleep tonight.

So... Moving along.... an older gentleman, now...

Round 7:
Nearing the end

How I wish my main strike force wasn't dead, and I had 7 actions this turn

Bullseye, feeling great frustration with that danged blue elf, pushes to fire off a shot. With an attack of 10 he needs a 7 to hit for 3. (For the sake of the speed of the game, I will roll for BaneOfEvil's supersenses, since he said this was a common practice) Bullseye gets an 8 (5,3). Nightcrawler fails to dodge the blow, with a 4.

Black Panther is inspired by Bullseye's selfless push, and decides that there's no reason he can't throw a punch at Kurt, too. I mean, a minute ago the guy >BAMF<ed right in front of him, swinging his sword. What's up with that? BP also needs a 7 to hit. He gets a hard 8 (4,4). Completely defeating the purpose of not outwitting Kurt's Super Senses. But Kurt, like a fool, dodges the blow (with a 6). Black Panther promptly outwits Nightcrawler's HSS.

Mr. Doomboto mimics the Panther's Averger's ability and Bullseye's pushing ability. He moves, quite freely, to J23, carrying Bullseye with him to K23.

The paramedic then pulls an oil can out of her medkit. She attempts to use it on Mr. Doomboto. She needs anything but a critical miss to give the robot a nice dose of Quaker State. She gets 8 (3,5). She gives him 5 quarts of oil, and Mr. Doomboto is feeling fine.

Summary:
1. Bullseye attacks Nightcrawler. Hits for 3 damage. Nightcrawler misses SS.
2. Black Panther attacks Nightcrawler. Hits for 1 damage, with knockback, but Nightcrawler gets SS, so... nothing happened.
Free. Black Panther outwits Nightcrawler's HSS.
Free. Doombot mimics Avenger's team ability, and carrys Bullseye. Doombot stops at J23. Drops Bullseye at K23.
3. Paramedic heals Doombot 5 clicks.

Mr. Doomboto carries Bullseye. Doombot at O18. Bullseye at O17.

Bullseye notices that Sgt. Dover hasn't fired a single round out of his gun. He pushes Ben, and grabs the gun. "Forget shooting it," says Bullseye as he hoplessly tosses the entire rifle at his mirror image. He needs a 9 (forgot to add hindering into the e-mail, sorry) and gets a 9 (6,3) That's good for 4 damage to Bullseye.

Seems as if I won the first player roll this time (he rolled 6, I rolled 8), so I will be choosing the Marvel Outdoor map, AKA The Crossroads (what else?).

I also won the objects roll (he rolled 4, I rolled 7), so I get two heavy objects and a light. Have to keep those heavy ones away from Ol' Leo.

I'll post item and figure placement whenever I have a chance.

Bullseye notices that he's being double teamed. He got distracted by the Black Supremacist, and shot at by his good/evil (whatever you think) twin. Good thing he had to sneeze at about that moment. Lucky him. He doesn't want to hurt his brother...yet, so he turns his sights on the Panther.

1st place. Got me Mary Walker. Can't complain. I rolled over the competition for the most part. One crit miss from an opponent played a big part in my overall victory, but I think I could have pulled it off with out it.

Turn 2:
Putting all the eggs in one basket

Shadowcat pushes (it was dumb to move her last turn, I can't even remember what I was thinking) to carry Doc Samson. Shadowcat at P9 drops Samson at O9.

Samson perplexes his attack to 11. Hoping... Hoping... He picks up the heavy object at O10, charging at Firelord, stopping at J13. He needs a 7 to hit for 6 damage. He gets an 8. (I can guarantee if I hadn't perplexed his AV, I would have gotten less :noid: )

I think this turn might decide the game. My risk in taking Bullseye out might not have been so worth it, because if this roll doesn't go my way, I can pretty much give it up.

1: Firelord pushes and makes an attempt to break away from Doc Samson.
