Map Set Character Tokens, like Crimson Skies?

Humor me if this has already been covered, I was on vacation when they announced the new Map Sets.

It occurs to me that the new "character tokens" in the map sets could be similar to the new Ace Pack tokens in the Crimson Skies game. If you haven't seen them already, cruise on over to csrealms.com, I'm pretty sure they have them all up there. Basically, they're game tokens with a picture of a character and one "slot" of stats printed on the front, that is KO'd with one hit I believe. Could be an interesting little addition to the game.

That was my assumption from the announcement. I suspect - if they're popular - that they might make figures of Aunt May, Lois Lane, and the bunch.

That was my guess, too, webhead. I already checked it out over at csrealms. From what I've seen, it looks like a pretty cool idea. This really is the best way to handle these unpowered comic mainstays. This way, not only do they not take up valuable character spots, you only have to buy them if you want them, and they add a new dynamic to the game, especially if they involve "negative creation points" as has been suggested.

Just one question for anyone here who plays Crimson Skies: exactly how do these character tokens work in that game? From the looks of it, a team would only have one or two ace figures and then the rest would be tokens. Is this right?

my friends and i tried that a while ago! i got a pack of little tonka trucks and stuff for a map i was making, and it came with a bunch of heroclix-sixed construction workers. we built a scenario around it wherein the heroes team got to control the innocent bystanders, and the villains got extra points for killing them. i gave the bystanders 1 click of what i deemed 'normal shmuck stats' (rookie lackey's first click). it turned out in a very fun game, especially when solomon grundy picked up a dead construction worker and threw him at robin. ;)

i'd love to see wizkids make some, but i wouldn't want to see characters like aunt may who'd i'd be very emotionally involved with, cos i mean spiderman's stats would definitely change if doc ock killed aunt may. his attack would go up to 13, he'd get battle fury and superstrength.

i'd like to see a construction worker pack, or maybe some wallstreet businesspeople who'd be working in the offices represented in the indoor maps.
