It sounds like it's coming very soon.

That GL has the best attack so far. His damage is low, but I guess his stats and powers make up for that. Thanx!!!!

looks like for a few more pts than the vet we get a green lantern with the stuff we all wanted least till they make sentinel kyle hal ion and others

Ooooo...
I'm satisfied. Darn tootin'. Glad I ordered one right away...can't wait to get this dude on the table. I was under the impression he'd be JLA though...not that I'm complaining one bit. GL Team Ability should be fun to abuse..er, I mean, use.

Yes! This is how the Green Lantern should be represented. It really stunk that the REV versions did not have damage reducing capabilities.

06/13/2003, 14:29
Combined with Livewire, Cosmic Boy and Saturn Girl, this will be a team to beat. You can fly them all over the place in this formation:

GC
LS

That's a heckuva quartet!

Very nice stat indeed. Now I'm glad I ordered 4. I had a feeling he was going to be as cool as OWAW Supes.

This one is a beast! As for "when has he ever phased in the comics?", I know in one of the recent issues of Justice League Adventures, GL goes through the roof of a hospital (or apartment building?) with a little kid in tow. The phasing just kind of happens. Remember, the ring lets the wearer do about anything they want to do, so if GL want to go through a wall, the ring will let him go through a wall.

That is so sweet it's rediculous! So glad that he's got Green Lantern TA! And an attack of 10! Rad!

A quick question for UK clixers - can you order this fig from Wizard World still, or did you have to buy the issue here and post off the coupon? Only their website only allows USA or Canada as country...

Hmmm...a few mixed feelings on this one.

Defense: Impervious, Invulnerability, Toughness. The damage reduction is nice, especially since he's going to get hit...A LOT! The 15 defense is going to be extremely easy to hit, even by DC attack value standards. Even most generics have a great chance at hitting him. This could possibly be the easiest 302 points that a Sinestro construct could ever get a shot at. I'd like to have seen a little higher defense, but I can deal with it. No Barrier is kind of odd, considering it's one of the basic GL "schticks". The mid-dial ES/D will help, especially since he's going to get knocked to it pretty easily.

Movement: Phasing all the way down the dial? This, I like. Great mobility, and the movement has a linear decrease, rather than the drop by two that the V suffers from.

Attack: Well, ten is better, but otherwise the dials are exactly the same. You can still double Inc with the Vet.

Damage: Okay, we miss the 5 (after RCE) on the first click. I wonder how much more expensive he would have been with that first click being a 3. Otherwise same old stuff.

Overall, you have better close combat protection and less fear from the figs with lower damage. Definately a good fig, but like all other high point figs, one Outwit away from a major beat down.

I dunno if I'll use this one or not....sure, he's cool, but the rookie makes a great taxi as well for a heckova lot less!

Well, I should have no trouble finding out...I ordered four of them :-)

So, When should it be arriving?

Next Week? (Yeah, right. That would happen...........:disappoin )

But either way, The fig IS REally Cool!!!!!!

SLAYER X
06/13/2003, 15:26
I am never using him as a taxi that's what a doombot is for, or in straight Dc grab a rookie from the legion of superheros. That way GL gets to attack too.

Nevest
06/13/2003, 15:27
Wow, he looks awesome. The only thing that bugs me is the 15 defense. I mean he's usually got a little personal deflecting/force field around him in all battles. You'd figure that could translate into Impervious along with a 16 or 17 defense. I like that he's got damage reduction but it would go a lot further if he was a little harder to hit.

Actually, it just might.

I mentioned this before, may as well say it again.

The Kellan Colt figure was offered in the Inquest issue before Phasing GL.

I mailed my form in on the very first day, and got mine on 16 May.

Since they're coming from the same company, they could very well be on their way now.

DS-00-0, FSD wondered how much he would cost id he did 5 damage on his first click, I put it into my cost calculator and he came out to 154. Not much more but they probably turned down the damage since he has so much going for him already.

Well...

I sent my credit card number in to pay for my GL. And I just looked at my account online, and I see I was just charged for something...something that would be the same price as our little green friend.

The charge is still 'pending verification', but if it should return as something that would indicate that they've finally charged me for GL, and therefor presumably shipped him, I'll give you all a scream!

Looks like a great figure. I agree that his defense might have been a little higher on the first click, but overall I am very happy that I ordered two of this one. I just wish I had been a little smarter when they offered the OWAW Superman. Oh well.

What Carlos? You don't get it? Phasing is to represent when he takes and forms the big giant spatula to lift the roof off of a place, then return it without any worry about tuck-pointing the building.

Yeah, ok. I'll admit it, I don't think he ever phases. But, it probably is meant to represent the ability to fly through open windows. Nah, that ain't it either.

Maybe it is the the giant spatula connection.

*sigh*

Wow, it's amazing what a little tweaking of powers can do! For only 6 points above the vet you get all that? I think I'll be using him on my JLA team a LOT.

ONE-ARM SAID:

It says it would ship BY August 31, not that shipping won't take place until August.

John Stewart did it constantly in GL: Mosaic and in the four issue Mosaic prelude in the regular Green Lantern comic.

MY GOD! Phasing with the GL team ability. Instant smackdown taxi! Can you imagine him in a HUGE game?
"I am going to taxi Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, and the Martian Manhunter over here thru this wall."
"Poop."
"Supes moves over here, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Wonder Woman all use their free move to pin your guy against the wall there."
"Double Poop."

:p

WOW! This is going to be great! I'm using one of mine for a dial for my Sinestro. (I Modded a Sinestro into a Guy Gardner, now I can Make a GL into a Sinestro small fig!) So my Injustice league (Legion of DOOM) will have a Sinesto without a giant figure, plus my Guy can have a little "construct". I can't wait to add them to my lineup. (I need another Sinestro big fig tho...)

Phantom
06/13/2003, 23:55
I'm shocked no one has mentioned his potential for mixed games.

GL. Rookie IG. GL and at least 4 friends can get an 18 defense.

WarHULK
06/14/2003, 00:07
I'm very impressed with this GL. I really wanted to see one with a 10 or higher attack and there we have it. The damage reduction is a great addition aswell. So long as he's not playing against Sinestro he should have a good chance of living since he'll be surrounded with friendly figures the majority of the time so no need to worry about his Imp. getting outwitted all too early in the game. Phasing 8 other people through a wall is a scary scary proposition... I mean geez... and with a 12 movement to boot. Huge figure, especially in really high point games. 1,500 pt. Marvel vs. DC is going to be insane...

WEAPON-XXX
06/14/2003, 08:51
Remember you can't have a mod of GL for Sinestro and the construct on the same team. The Sinestro construct is AE with all GL members so they can't be on the same side.

I was thinking the same thing for my LOD. The only thing I came up with was to use a Quasar base for Sinestro. His stats are the closest to a GL without being GL.

kontrol
06/14/2003, 14:08
Yeah for mixed games MoE got a lot more viable with the advent of the GL Team.

Darth Sabre
06/14/2003, 22:17
Man you are paying the points, for what is certain to be one of the BEST pieces in the game! EXCELLENT! I hope this means it's arrival is imminent!

Hellboy
06/15/2003, 03:23
its okay. I won't have any GLs on my classic 80's JLA team. Just my Guy Gardner on a Sinestro Dial. now I just need a Martian Manhunter. One of the reasons for the switch is so I can have a "big" GL who is actually a Sinestro, and a little Sinestro who's actually a GL. If none of you have cracked open a Sinestro...the little figure inside is cool.

Nope - as with OWAW and PSM Hulk us poor Brits are left out in the cold. No choice except to pay over the odds on eBay or go without.
We could try and trade some of the XP prize support if any of it ever makes it across the Atlantic.
Or you could just give up and play Crimson Skies - oh, no you can't cos we don't have any planes!

Well, I sent an order from Germany, and I got a reaction by Wizard because of the credit card expiry date, probably due to my bad handwriting. After my answer to that I didn't hear anything again, so I'll take this as a good sign.

I used the coupon from the magazine and sent it by mail.

I do have a question - why does it take 8 to 20 weeks to get the figure? Do they need to get a count, then start production, then send, or what?
