Here's the official thread for our 100 pt game... and here comes the ninjas! (i had this team idea before I read yours, so it's not a build around dealy btw)

It'll probably be a little different for the tourney, but this is the basis of it. So, what team are you going to use?

I am going to go with Sauron and IC Elektra.

I love the Ninja team. Could be very effective in a 100pt game. At least it is a cool theme.

As far as my 400 point vets only game, I was actually thinking about using Mandarin with Green Goblin as a Taxi. My other thought was an X-Men team. I think my biggest problem will be that I don't have a single vet medic in my 150+ figures.

I just rolled a 10 to pick the map and go first and a 7 for objects. I guess objects don't really matter since no one has super strength.

Assuming I win the roll to pick the map, let's take the Marvel outdoor map with the pond in the middle (the park). That gives you lots of hindering and my Sauron lots of wide open spaces to fly around in.

You get to pick the side you want to start on, but just assume my set up will be in the front row directly in the middle of whichever side I end up on.

Actually, if you don't mind I'm changing my team just slightly... I got more ninjas today to mofidy it, plus I forgot to add my V AIM Medic. I'll post the new team and the rolls later, cause the wife is just now getting on my case. I guess my daughter does come first, though :P

It's definitely not too late to change your team. Go Hydra! Now I am feeling bad for mixing heros and villians. I don't suppose I can count Elektra as a villian.

Sounds like we face the same issues when it comes to playing time (wife and 2 daughters here).

I've got to run now and probably won't be able to log in until 9 or 10 central time.

Again, my placement will be in the middle of the front row on whichever side I am left with (assuming my 10 wins the map pick). My objects will probably go 10 or 11 spaces in front of that so Sauron can taxi Elektra out to an object the first turn.

If you want to set up your positions, I'll try to log a turn in later tonight.

No hurry. I have a 16 month old daughter who takes up alot of the time. So, no hurry as far as the game goes. A nice relaed one, especially since it's only 100 pts. And yeah, go hydra :)

For whatever reason, creation matrix doesn't have the E Hand Ninja ranged, so just use the sheet on the units list on HCRealms... or if you have one just use that. It's what I'm doing :) Remember there are two... here's my placement:

Medic - B22
V Ranged - B19
V Close - B20
E Ranged 1 - B21
E Ranged 2 - B24
R Ranged - B23

Man, this could take a while just to set em up right :P

I actually just use excel files to keep track of everything (maps and clix) because I haven't figured out how to save on creation matrix.


After surveying the scene, Sauron takes to the skies with Elektra in tow. He lands at M19, just outside of the group of ninja and ponders what to do next. Elektra looks pretty upset from the rough landing and dusts herself off at L19 (stealthed).

Your turn.

The ninjas look around.

"Great, the Red Skull never showed up. I knew he's leave us to die like this!"

"Don't say that, he'll be here long before the battle begins."

"Um... here comes Sauron and he has somebody with him."

"####it, he's not coming, let's just run away."

The medic speaks up. "I will help you win."

"Shut up, you just stay back outta the way. Okay, set yourselves up right this time."

Ranged V ninja moves to C21

Sauron, eager to join the battle attempts to leap into the skies again, but Elektra gives him a sharp yank on his collar.

"Look you stupid birdman, these are ninjas we are going against. Hell, I might've trained half of them. Let's take our time"

Sauron clears.

The medic looks directly in front of her and sees... nobody.

"Hey, somebody get over here before they come and slice me into itty-bitty pieces."

The close V ninja walks infront of her... "Maybe I ought to do it myself, just to shut you up."

V Ranged moves to C22

Taking charge of the situation, Elektra realizes these ninjas could thwart her long-term plans and must be eliminated.

"Sauron, while I can't see them, my ninja senses tell me they are northeast of us. Fly us a little closer"

Sauron moves to E16 dropping Elektra at E17 pondering what he will do to Elektra one he figures out how to get his restraining collar off.

"Did you see who he had with him as he flew?

"Yeah, and she was a hottie. Do you think she's a prisoner?"

"You idiot, that's Electra"

"That reminds me, I have some nachos here if anybody wants some."

"Shut up. Look, I trained with her. She's gonna bite us right in the arse, I tell ya."

"Well, at least protect the medic."

"Righty-O."

E Ninja from B24 moves to A21

"Dammit" yells Elektra. Right where I was heading. It's like they can read my mind. Hold up a second while I think of a new plan.

Sauron clears.

"Hmm... they didn't move in. Maybe we frightened them with out black outfits."

"I wonder why they can't see us... we're hiding in light green."

"Hey, don't knock it."

"Heh heh, I'm stealth."

E ranged clears

"What's the plan, master?" Sauron grates under the control of the collar.

"Screw the plan, Sauron. We'll just have to go through them to get to the medic. Sharpen up your claws and let's make ninja shish-kabobs"

Sauron (carrying Elektra) charges to D20, dropping Elektra at C20, and attacks the V Ranged Ninja at C21.

Sauron needs a 4 or higher to hit with b/c/f. Dice rolls coming.

Sauron cackles as he carves up the Ninja (10 to hit and 3 b/c/f damage) The bloodlust clearly starting to overcome him.

"Ow, my thread man. Now I'm no longer hiding in this bush." says the V ranged ninja.

"Yes you are, idiot, only now they can see you hiding."

"Who said that?" asks V Ranged.

"####it, he's lost his stealth sensors, too."

"Hey, it's the nacho lady. I'll have a large platter, please."

"Just attack her already. I swear, if I wasn't here this place would fall apart."

"They're coming for me," the medic cries, "protect me at all costs."

E Ranged ninja at B21 atttack Electra. Needs an 8. Man, my team is planned around ranged combat, I'm going to be eaten alive... literally is Sauron keeps it up. Roll comin.

"Hey, I hit her. I hit her. And to think, you guys thought her lucious breats would bistract me. But no, there she goes."

Rolled an 8 for 2 clicks of damage to Electra. Maybe the dice roll system didn't recognize me :P

"So much for hiding boys. Now you'll have to face a real ninja."

"Nachos?? I've give you some stinkin' nachos!"

Elektra attempts to finish off the V Ranged ninja at C21 as she drops her weapons. Needs a 6 to hit for 1 damage.

"This ##### is clearly riding my coat tails." Sauron thinks to himself. "Hell, I'll take on her and all these ninja"

"So much for ninja #1, as she back hands him to the ground, KO'd"

The dice server has clearly recognized me. 5,5 (10) for a hit with knockback taking out your V Ranged Ninja.

"Ah, a dead body!"

"And it's one of our own!"

"I knew I should have been a doctor!"

"Enough," yells the medic. "Just protect me already!"

V close moves over one spot to C21... "now i lay me down to sleep..."

Sauron's collar begins to glow a disturbing shade of red as he attacks the next ninja.
"Must kill them all! Those breasts will belong to me!" He screeches.


Attacks V Hand Ninja at C21. (I was all set to charge and attack, no need for you to use your actions no moving!)

Sauron rips into the next ninja. "I though this was going to be a battle."

An 8 to attack and 3 b/c/f damage.

"Cover your shame!"

Close ninja looks down and drops his hands to his crotch, covering the exposure. "You flying bastard. If I knew where my sword landed I would cut you."

"Here, let me attack the nachos again. They look yummy. Anybody got cheese?"

E ranged on Electra again... got to roll a 7.

I don't think your medic is going to help this game. She can't heal anyone in close combat.

Is there anyway for you to get some leadership on your team? You could definitely use more actions.

I don't think this game is giving your team the testing you wanted. With Sauron, I was able to get into battle too quickly.

"Anybody have an extra ninja suit?" Close asks.

"Sorry, had to make room for my nachos."

Most of the people at the tourney like to used ranged people... over half, so I kinda hoped for that. Or even a Sent, so the attacker can get a hydra bonus from everybody. And I was thinkin of tossin R Invis Girl on just for an 18 def, but that takes away 3 ninjas.

Elektra actually misses with a 5.

I love playing close combat teams (usually lots of b/c/f) and usually have a little stealth to help me get into battle without getting dinged up at a distance.

This one looks like it might go kind of quickly. If it does, we can try another with me using a more traditional stealth team.

E Ninja from B24 moves to A21

I think your ninja in the A row was already in A21. Did you mean to move him somewhere else?

BTW - How about adding R Mystique to your ninja team. She kind of keeps with your theme of ranged, stealth. The free move would help your team get into position faster and the perplex means you have the possibility of doing 3 damage.

I don't suppose you have an E Silver Samurai or R Taskmaster? Other options to give your team a little more firepower. I think your team needs more firepower than it does a R Invis Girl. Just my thoughts for whatever they are worth.

Sorry bout that, was busy the past few days. Did you want to try a 400 pt vet game so you can try a team out?

The tournament was last night. I made a couple of mistakes in the championship game and ended up losing 364 to 436. Took second place and ended up getting a U Elektra out of the booster I got. Is it fate?
