From the look of things X-men reload will organize the X-men.
After looking at the X-books there are no X-men in any 2 of the X-books (By X-books I mean Astonishing X-men, Uncanny X-men, X-men, and Excalibur). Which is cool because it means that you won't see Gambit and Beast trapped on Asteroid M on Uncanny, while they're stuck in the infirmary on Astonishing. The only charcter that this doesn't apply for is Wolverine who is on every team. And if anybody needs to know who is in which book I can supply a list.

Hey Howard, could you supply that list? The idea for having X-Men in only one book sounds like a good idea to clear up continuity.


As for the new TA's in Ultimates, what do you guys think? While I love the X-Men, a Morlocks TA sounds like a waste, since there aren't many great characters not made that could fit on the team aside from generics. Maybe Alpha Flight would've been better. Ultimate X-Men will be interesting, as so many X-Men have been made already and remaking them may be overdoing it. But since the TA sounds very useful, it's not a waste. Oh, and Serpent Society and Ultimates are awesome too :).

Oh, and how did the X Clan members do at the UL Marquee this weekend? I used this team from my pulls:

R Black Adam
E Dr. Fate
R Cyborg
R Deadshot

First round I played a team with Bat Sentry, E Supergirl, R Brainiac 5, and E Deadshot I believe. We had a long stand-off (30 minutes or so of no attacking!) but finally I landed the first blow and everything went downhill for him from there. Dr. Fate was especially intimidating with his 20 defense in range (17+2 E/SD+1 hindering)!

Round 2 I played a team that consisted of.... the exact same figures that were on my team! Same ranks and all! We began with a quick shootout between Deadshots, where his was KO'd and mine was left with 1 click left. Then later he used his Black Adam to attack mine, but missed with PC out of range! Then my Dr. Fate pushed later to attack his Black Adam, but missed TWICE! Then his Black Adam missed Fate and so on. I didn't realize the time, and it ended a tie (1 Deadshot each). We rolled to see who won, I got a 6, he got a 9. I would've won if I had just been smart enough to track down his Cyborg and KO him, since he was already damaged.

Round 3 I faced a team of V Raven, V Jesse Quick, E Killer Frost, V Hawkgirl, and some generics. Adam tracked down and KO'd the generics while his team moved up with some nice use of barrier. But his team just didn't have the muscle to beat Adam, who came back later and laid waste to his team with help from Dr. Fate.

Pretty good tourney, but didn't pull anything good or get a prize. In retrospective I probably should have used the V Supergirl I pulled over the E Fate, who's PC didn't lend much to the team, though his psychic blast and super high defense were great. He managed to never get hit AT ALL the entire tournament and only took one click in round 2 from pushing.

My summer will be filled with work, work, and more work. It's the busiest time of year in my profession save the holidays. It's when everyone else gets to go on vacation, and I get to make sure they have a good time doing it.

Last week I partied at 3 different Marquees.

Walked away with a Kara Zor-El (fellowship) from one, placed second in two others....ended my weekend with pulling a Silver Swan and Kilowag.

Pretty good time.

I'm an entertainer.....singer/dancer/stunt actor/vocal percussionist.

I work Full-Time at Universal Studios Florida as the Wolfman/Dracula/Frankenstein in Beetlejuices Graveyard Revue (Rock and Roll song and dance show).

I also work at a place called Pirates Dinner Adventure where I do all kinds of stunts....Sword Fighting, Stage Combat, Trampoline, Rope Swings, the Ladder of Death.....

I also do a lot of freelance A Cappella work as a Vocal Percussionist (Beat-Box basically, with a more drum-like sound). It's a blast.

I have a great time doing what I do and wouldn't trade it for the world. It's what sent me to Japan, I was headlining a show for Tokyo DisneyLand.

I just went to the Deck Tech Players Challenge this Saturday and got to play and hang out with a lot of fellow realmers (GroovyBoy, thugit, mattsolo, darius_dax just to name a few). Great time, but unfortunately didn't get to walk away with the grand prize (Galactus).

Well it's been awhile and how do you folks feel about X-Men Reload? Uncanny's pretty good, I love Astonishing X-Men and I recomend it.

Personally I won't read anything written by Austen. He's just a lousy writer, which is bad right now for us X fans. Astonishing X-Men and Ultimate X-Men are both very good (Brian K Vaughn is one of the best writers out there right now) and if anyone is currently not reading them and is a fan of the X-Men, they should check them out.

I totally agree with you dj, I don't like Austen either He's Changed Wolverine's costume like 7 times in the last year. I've also been reading Astonishing (Lockheed's intro was hilarious) and Ultimate (Sinister is pretty creepy) along with Uncanny and all 3 of these books are pretty good.

Austen may not write the X-Men well, but I personally liked seeing characters like Havok, Polaris, and Juggernaut hit the pages of the X-Men again.

He does write the Avengers pretty well, and I liked his run on Exiles as well.
