So will WizKids assuage our fears?

Just wondering if we as a community of fans will get some official comment from WK? I mean there's all this talk about Topps and the licenses expiring, how about a little hand-holding and "it's gonna be okay"?

There's something like that on the wizkids boards. I don't really consider it all that meaningful, though, because companies ALWAYS say that after a merger/buyout.

I wouldn't put any [immediate] concern out there...

But, one truly never knows. I've spoken to people at WK (not regarding this particular issue), and no one seems to be panicky or out of sorts.

Topps is a smart company. Many of its subsidiaries still operate as they did before their respective purchases, so for now I'd say that WK is just fine.

I love the games, totally, and have the same concerns. I'll continue to buy them, regardless. Besides, with the potential for a "SportsClix" mentioned in a thread elsewhere ["WK underground newsletter", I think] this Topps buyout could make even more sense! We'll see!!
