I'm looking for someone with good gamedesigning skills to help me out with a game seperate of, but yet part of Heroclix I'd like to call SuperClix. SuperClix would be to Heroclix like Conquest is to MageKnight. SuperClix wouldn't be usable with Heroclix but yet part of the same gaming system. I'd prefer someone within the western burbs of Chicago to help out with this. If this works, I'd like to sell the system to Wizkids. PM me if interested. Details available when contacted.

Thanks to the ENORMOUS amounts of interest I'll say that the name's be changed to Heroes and Villain, and that I still need a dial designer and multiple figure designers, since I'd like to have the figures as accurate as possible. The reason I need dial designers is because we'll need to do a mock battle for Wizkids most probably. C'mon, doesn't anyone wanna help? I've got people to help me with the rules, the terrain, and the powers, but I need guys to help out with the character designs, since I plan on selling a 170 character set.

Just keep in mind that you do not have any rights to any currently published titles and giving them a 170 character set of copyrighted figures is akin to me giving you my buddies plasma screen. I mean sure, I could do it, I have access to his house, but he sure is going to be mad that I gave away his stuff. If they are your own custom or generic figs then more power to you and good luck.

Also, keep in mind the Clix dial is patented by WizKids(patent pending), so you couldn't commercially sell a similar product anyways.

Oops, you can't give away plasma TV screens? Boy oh boy my roommate is gonna be pissed. Have any of you seen a large, 50" silver, slightly scuffed plasma TV screen around Boston Garden? Possibly in the possession of a slightly deranged hobo? If so, please report it to me.

That's not the point, guys. I'd like to sell a set of rules to Wizkids along with a 170 character set. If they don't like it, then they don't hafta buy it.

Your going to try to sell Wzkids the rules to HeroClix? (All of which are THEIR possesion)

Wizkids is certainly not going to pay you to make a variation on their own game, especially when it's based on a variation such as Conquest, which they make themselves! My friends and I used to have innovative new ideas like this that would surely make us rich beyond our wildest dreams- WHEN WE WERE TWELVE! Wake up and smell reality! This is not how things work in the real world. Games are one of the few areas that toy companies often buy ideas from individuals, but the idea has to be truly original. A Heroclix version of MageKnight Conquest is something that Wizkids can come up with all by themselves. If you're going to invest your time into developing a game to sell, create something new and innovative.

What are you saying Wyldstaar? That you can't barely change the rules to a game that has every aspect of it patented and copyrighted (including the the four letters "clix") and then sell it back to the parent company and get rich off of it? ####!

Jee, thanks guys. Anything's possible in this world, and NO, it's BASED off of Conquest, it's LIKE Conquest, in the way that Heroes and Villains would be sorta an ADD ON. Jeez, ya think someone could TRY.

Even if it's a COMPLETELY new game that uses HeroClix peices it will still be too similiar to Heroclix to sell independently or even to WizKids. Maybe if you elaborate more we can give you a honest answer of if your product will do good or not.

The reason I wouldn't waste my time trying is because I know how the industry works. I have a degree in Industrial Design Technology, and I focused on the toy industry side of the business when I went to school. I'm not in the toy industry today, but I still know how things are done. What you propose is NOT how things are done. Submissions such as what you propose wouldn't even be looked at. They do this for a number of reasons, the chief of which is to avoid lawsuits from prospective game designers such as yourself. If you want to invest your time into developing a game, fine. More power to you! I wish you well. Just don't spend your time designing a game that Wizkids isn't going to be willing to even look at. Game companies are willing to accept proposals from individuals, but the concept has to be 100% ORIGINAL.
