Adice on Ultimate Adventures?

Hello there,
I didn't buy Ultimate Adventures when it came out, because it would have been a vote against Captain Marvel. However, now that the standoff is over, I thought I might pick this book up to have the whole Ultimate universe. So the question is: Is it any good? Good enough to go get back issues, or wait for the TP? Let me know.

Well, I guess I'm not the only guy who hasn't read this book.

Ultimate Adventures is definitely what I would call a sleeper hit. A lot of people were turned off by the You Decide Bill Jemas self-promotional ####. However, I bought the book because I wanted to read an Ultimate book that featured characters unique to the Ultimate Universe, and that was it.

Boy am I glad I made that decision. Not to reveal too much, but it is a spin on Batman and Robin, which while normally would seem trite, it is actually a lot more than that.

It will only run six issues as I have heard it, so you can either find the back issues or wait til the Trade Paperback hits,but if you are interested in the title, you're halfway there. I give it a 3 out of 4 stars.

Just to let you know, since you seem to be woefully out of date...the 'contest' is long since over.

Yes. I didn't buy the book for that reason at first. To buy both still would have been a vote against Marv. The good Captain is champion, so I'll check out the TP on this book later. Thanks everybody.
