Hey guys. I just came up with a 200 point tournament team for an all Marvel tourny this Tuesday and it needs rated. Tell me what you guys think, and what improvements can be made. Thanks.
E Captain America
V Daredevil
R Silver Samurai
R Destiny
R Doombot
E Vulture
R Paramedic
Total= 200 pts.
Mind you all before I start that I'm pretty new to the whole HeroClix scene, so I'm not that big on strategy right now and I'm sure this team isn't the greatest out there by far, so just keep that in mind :)
Anyways, Daredevil and Doombot both have the wild card team ability while Captain America and Destiny have the free move team abilities (Avengers and Brotherhood) so I have a plethora of free moves that I can make throughout my turn. The Captain also has leadership, so there's a good chance that I won't be in short supply of actions ever. Idealy, I would play this team on a more indoor and stealthy terrain, due to the apparent weaknesses of my team. Being inside would let me hide in and around stuff to keep me safe from the enemy and allowing me quick strikes every once and a while. I can have Captain America hide in a bush and throw his shield at people with them not being able to hit me, but if he does happen to take damage, he gets Outwit towards the end of his dial, making him a pest to all that stand near him.
The Silver Samurai will go in and out of the action, Phasing and dealing B/C/F damage to his victims. He is obviously the main damage dealer of the group, so it's essential that I keep him alive. This is where the indoor terrain comes in handy; I can phase him through a wall and get him into range with an opposing figure, B/C/F him, and then run away through a wall again, unmeriting any chase. The Paramedic will sit nicely in the background, healing the Samurai when he comes back and needs it, as well as all the rest who may need it, as per damage dealt. Also with the Samurai, he has incapacitate at the end of his dial, letting him have some fun with the opponents.
Daredevil is kinda in this team due to my personal preference (I like the character so I decided to throw him in the team) but isn't the biggest pushover ever. He has Super Senses all throughout his dial, giving him a constant dodge effect, or at least a 33% chance to do so. He's also great at the Incapacitate game, lending actions to opponents and not letting them take too many shots at him or the rest of the team. He can so also do 2 clicks of damage, if need be. Making use of his wildcard ability will let him either move for free or let him use the sinister sindicate team ability incase he needs the extra attack rating.
The Vulture and the Doombot are merely there for their cheap taxi abilities, and not much more. They can both do damage if need be, but that won't happen unless it is necessary to do so. Destiny is there to follow around anyone who is in need to a good reroll, namely Daredevil and Silver. Dare for his Super Senses and Silver for his B/C/F.
Basically, this team calls for indoors and sneakyness to get around and do hit and run attacks, keeping the enemy on their toes, Incapacitating them as I see fit, outwitting when needed. It's not the strongest team around, but I think it will manage fairly decently at a tourney. But I guess that's for you guys to decide. ;)
