After getting the texture that you want, how do you scale it down to Clix size. do you scale it in some photoshop program or with the printer, and how
Any feedback is appreciated
Thanks

I use photoshop to edit and print. Do you have that program?

No I don't, how much does one of those run for.
Well I guess you can say it was given to me. I think the latest version is between $600-$700. I wouldn't buy it unless I was planning to make money off my designs.
What exactly were you trying to do? Do you have any other type of art program?

im not sure, if I have any art programs (i don't know much about computer). I'm actually just trying to build a 3D map. its all good except for when I print out the bricks they are wayyyyyy too big to look realistic. The way I print it is as follows:
email myself the texture off of the website
open it
copy the image and paste it in word
i alter the margins so that the pasted image covers nearly the entire page.
works pretty good for wooden textures but the bricks dont work so hot. and im sure by the time I get to windows and doors thats gonna be a real problem

another good way to scale is to take a heroclix figure, then print out a 1.5 inch grid out. Place the grid behind the figure. The in the program you are using, use that grid when placing obejcts and the you can look back and forth and get an idea for how large the textures need to be. When I did my tracker, I had a pict of me standing beside it. Then i put that on the grid and shrunk the image till it matched up with the heroclix sample.
Hope this didn't confuse you. Using a grid is the best way to scale. Bascially no matter what anyone says a 1.5 square in heroclix is about 6 feet. If you take cyclops who is 6.2 he is almost as tall as a 1.5 inch including his base.
Hope that helped and I didn't sound like too much of an idiot.
In photoshop, I held figures up to the screen.

I just downloaded the trial JASC Paint Shop Pro 8. Does anyone have the settings already for printing out dials? I used it once before after doing alt-print screen of my dial on the aduckwhat site. But its been awhile since I've done it and I don't really remember what to do. I want to say the scale was 1.1 in by 1.1 in for the dial, but that could easily be wrong. If anyone has the info, I'd be most appreciative!
