From the WizKids site...

"These scenarios are intended to help you get the most out of your DC HeroClix™ pieces at home. While not tournament legal, these scenarios give you the opportunity to not only to play at home, but also to play with new characters in exciting new ways!"

The new Cosmic Justice scenarios focus on the new characters released with this set, with titles like "Send in the Army!" and "Battle of the Amazons".

Follow this link (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/dc/gameresources.asp?cid=37993) to find all of the details, and links to the .pdf scenarios.

I wish we had more tournament legal ones, but these will be great for fun! They will add to all the ones I've made up already!

I'm interested in these scenerios, but my computer isn't allowing me to read them. Can someone please post them somewhere here on this site? Thanks, CyberVenom

I'm going to go check them out. They sound interesting.

My head is swimming a little bit from some of those descriptions. :ermm:

Nonetheless, the Lexcorp vs. Easy Company concept is very cool. Essentially, a basic version of the game but with potentially a dozen figures on each side! Lexcorp would actually have a bit of a disadvantage; There's little to nothing that they could Outwit on Easy Company besides Support, and the medics are going to be in the backfield with cover anyhow.

Are there any scenarios for Marvel clix?

How are you able to read them? I tried downloading them, but my computer is only showing a bunch of crazy symbols. Is there some other way to read it?

The vet EC Soldier has Energy Explosion on his first click, so there's something else to Outwit. Energy Explosion paired with the Police team ability are a nasty combo.

Try downloading the acrobat reader from adobe. It will allow you to read the .pdf files. They are on version six of the free reader software.

As House Rules are okay for HeroClix, these can be use in tournament settings. I'll have them updated tomorrow to reflect that. Glad you like them.

Good, because I "borrowed" elements from some of them for Sunday's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" event. :)

Yeah, we'd all like to know, since we're always in the mood for a good scenario.

I have concerns about the playability of these scenerios in normal tournament play. Don't get me wrong, these things are awesome. I started a thread earlier about these things and really like the improved game play experience they provide.

To date, there was only one scenerio that effected your build total: Nine Tenths of the Law. This scenerio requires each player to have a 40 point character in their force.

Up to this point, I have used all other scenerios in regular tournaments as all they do is effect the way the game is played, rather than how you build your force. Out of the seven new Play @ Home scenerios, I can really only see two of them being used in a regular tournament: Magic Run Amok! and Is It Hot in Here?. These do not require any specific changes to a force, so they can be used at any event.

Wiped Out of Time could possibly be used on the spur of the moment, but only if most people bring their entire collection or if there are several people with large collections that can pull figs from for one round of surprise. On a side note, I once used a similar idea in a league I was running. I told everyone they had to include a figure with a AE base in their force. I ran a "Strange Bed Fellows" scenerio where I brought all the AEs there were and each player got to have the AE of their choice for their force at no extra cost.

The others would have to be set up in advance due to the greater restrictions on the build. Each player would need to build two armies and have them ready for play. Then each pairing would be randomly assigned a team to play (player one is The Army, player two is The Corporation). Not sure if I would then keep the team assignments for later games or redraw. The themes would work and I'll likely try them all out over the next few months if my local players are up for it.

For certain tournaments, just let people know in advance that you are playing "x" scenario and to bring appropriate armies. Or did what I did, each round is a certain scenario, like a story event. I had three rounds, where each round advanced the story and the winners and losers of the last game had consequences for the next game. It was a lot of fun.

That does sound cool. Send it in to Wizkids and see what they think of that!

Sorry guys -- was actually out doing something social that wasn't Clix. :)

(And watching Spider-Man... if you missed the premier, catch a replay. This show is amazing!)

Okay, Crisis... as guilex78 said, each "round" represents a part of the story.

Round One is the heroes scrambling to activate the Monitor's tuning forks. It's the "Wild Theory" scenario with some extra flavor to it (see below).

Round Two is the Anti-Matter Wall. We're playing this as a Rookie version of "Is it Hot in Here?" plus the flavor below.

Round Three is just after the Universes combined... as in, *immediately* after, and everything's sorted out. We're playing this as a combination of the "World Gone Mad" scenario with the random attack effects from "Magic Run Amok!"

In addition, there are three over-arcing metarules for the tourney:

1) Shadow Demons: Also known as my "Murderworld" rules. Any time a you make a roll for a character and the final result (after PC) shows a 4, the character in question takes one click of Damage that can not be reduced. This represents a surprise attack from the Anti-Monitor's forces.

2) Barry Allen: If a character is KOed by taking push damage, no one gains points from the KO.

3) Supergirl: Once this *event,* you can transfer damage from one character to an adjacent character as if they had the Mastermind power, regardless of relative point value. Once invoked, damage can be transferred whenever they are adjacent for the remainder of that match. If the recipient of the damage is KOed as a result of transferred damage, no one gains points from the KO. Players will mark on their tally sheet when they invoke this rule.

It's my way of taking a couple "standard" scenarios and putting a cool little twist on it.

You think this is bad... wait until I finish my Amalgam rules. :)

Great scenarios, but a question:

In the Mystics scenario, should that really be Mystics only, or should we include anyone who's team ability mimics another, since they essentially become part of that team?...

And as for the Wiped Out of Time scenario, I would change it so that if a Veteran is eliminated, nothing else happens. If an Exp figure is eliminated, the Exp and Vet are gonbe, and killing a Rookie would take out ALL it's counterparts. I think it makes more sense that way.

Spyder's Web
07/13/2003, 16:25
Yeah, that does make more sense. As for my comment on Amalgam, it would be cool to see what an Amalgam scenario would be like. On with it!
