I was wondering if anyone could direct me towards a site that has pictures of ladders that I might be able to use on the side of my buildings. I realized after making the first 2 that I left no space to make stairs so I'm thinking of using Ladders like the the DC starter set map.
Can anyone help me?

Ever Wonder?

Can't point you to pictures of ladders, but if you have 3D buildings, why not make a 3D ladder? Or, go to your local dollar store, buy a cheap fire engine toy, and use its ladder.

If you are talking about 3D buildings/maps, I have found a great solution - buy HO scale picket fence (at model train store, or on line), it is about $5 for 6ft in 12 inch sections, or more for longer sections. Break off the points of the fenceposts and glue to building (or attach with a loop of wire stuck through the building) in a vertical aspect - looks great!

I'll post some photos when I get back from Vacation.:cheeky:

at one point, someone suggested putting a ladder or two on a little stand, maybe an extra base you have lying around, and that way, you have a mobile ladder. It can be used as a light object, it can be moved, you could even use a rule that a fig can use an action to kick it over..... This wasnt my idea, but im gonna use it.

What i would like to find is an easy way to make a fire escape..... this way i can have it on the side of the building, with a landing halfway up.....

With some practice and plenty of patience it is possible to solder together a fire escape from 12 gauge steel wire available at most hardware stores. On my msn site, I have pics of my buildings, and I've put a fire escape on one.

Nice stuff on there Dr Rad. Is it actually texture or printed texture for the building?

Where or how did you make the phone booth?

He bought it. I've got one just like it. It's an O Scale train accessory, and mine came with two working spotlights, a working traffic light, trashcans, and a fire hydrant ... all for about $8.00.

Yes, I bought it. I bought a different set however. Mine didn't have working spotlights, though it did have a traffic light. and I had several hydrants, a mailbox (almost identical to the whizkids one, but with decals) and some other stuff.

Also, in going to my local craft store recently, I noticed that Michaels is selling seasonal christmas village accessories. Some of which are acceptable to heroclix scale. Lamp posts, signs, benches, wood piles. Etc. Not too pricey, for metal pieces, $2 or so. Might be even better when the season is over.

I forgot. Yes Drashia, there is texture on the building. I took a plastic-type plaster used for tile adhesive and grouting and applied a thin layer with a spatula, then ran a tile tool over it to get parallel "brick work" lines. I was going too go in and etch the alternating brickspacea, but decided it was too much effort for too little payoff. As it is, I think the texture works just fine.

Please note that I didn't go out and pick up the stuff just for my clix. I was doing some bathroom remodeling, and noticed how well the stuff would work for clix.

If you have a hobbytown USA in your area look for thje Plastruct display, they make scale ladders.

"HO" scale railroad track works too, take the metal rails off and you have an in scale ladder
